To Build a Universe (A God Quest)

accidents are an understatement they made wolves that could destroy cities and drive them out of the jelly and that's on turn 2 after we made them. God This game is just gonna be ya cleaning up there mistakes ain't it?

Anyways I think we should go ahead and make dragons just so we don't end with wailing balls of cancer from reality trying to force nature to change. I also want the dragons to be one of the older races as well.

Also @Kakaluncha ncha is there a chance of someone breaking into our universe from another?
Well we aren't forcing nature to change. We're simply explaining what's already been made. Hence why dragons, and humans aren't going to just pop up out of the gate. The only existence they'd currently serve is to help perfectly explain something. Which means that the only way they can come into existence is with someone meddling with the fact they already exist in a fashion. Effectively someone refining an element. or a God creating it wholesole.

yes I can see were your coming from and it would be a waste to use an action on making dragons when it could be used to clean up our children's messes

Must we get rid of them? I kinda like em, just make sure to get the starting mortal races on another jelly and have that one as a hazard to watch out for.

I agree with the getting out of control and surviving the void but if their going to be limited as angry spirit's I say leave em be, not like anythings important their yet and if anyone travels their it'll be a good challenge

I mean my omake about the void being alive is most likely canon Which means that the chance of eldritch monsters from the beyond ain't out of the equation

Maybe you can add a memory, history. mind/thought and body/touch particles

I've also noticed that you have both zombie and undeath, I think that those can be fused.

I agree. And I'll add Memory, History, Mind, and Body. Eye as I hope you can tell is present due to it being closely linked with perception and as such being a better word for it since that allows for sight and an actual object to go along with it.

I'm quite happy with how the stars turned out, to be honest. They serve their purpose and I would like to install connect them to the realm of the dead when we get to it.

You know. As far as I can recall with it being 12am and all. The only talk has been about chemistry, and solving the issues the others brought onto us, once we find out what has happened and exactly what the issues are. Or alternatively right now there is a single issue named the sand wolves and ichorian griffins. If you're clever you could likely link what the stars are doing to the afterlife and help ease the issue of that at the exact same time.

will we be getting the interludes before or after the moratorium? I don't need exacts just something to go off of.

Probably the Sidequests and Interlude will be after, though I'll try to write the Meeting of the Gods as soon as I can. But first I need to edit the World Info.

Sometimes, problems are going to get themselves fixed. Maybe the Hippogriffs manage to hunt Sand-Wolves into extinction. Maybe someone will become a hero by taking one of these things.

The thing is, there's a danger getting overinvolved in mortal realms. I'm going to let you figure out what that means, but let me , be careful about what you give, and the amount you give.

Maybe?
There's nothing stopping them, that's for sure

There's something else I wanted to comment about particles. I don't think the particle "Superheroes" fits well. Wouldn't it make more sense for the particle to be just "Heroes"? (Akin to Classical and polinesian demigods, Celtic and Norse great warriors, Chinese folks who go on life changing trips,...)

I don't know, maybe as a GM I can't say things like this, but I personally believe it fits better in the setting.

EDIT: I would also like to recommend a particle for domestication and agriculture, as I feel you need some basic concepts

I would like to add my own thought on the fixing every problem thing.

Without hardship heroes can't rise, glory can't be acquired and art will not be inspired.
Let the wolves do their thing, because they too will play their role in the grand scheme of things.

Should probably cordon them into a single jelly just in case they try to hunt the hippogriff's into extinction with the secret rolls though and taking some of the hippogriff's into less hostile territory.
Ya know it might be the perfect time to bring in those doomsday creatures if only to combat the sand wolves giving them experience and the griff's a hand. I'm still thinking of basing them off the Endbringers from Worm.

Probably we don't want species going completely extinct. As for the endbringer thing I think it has some merit though we need to bring down there power by a little bit. After all doomsdays are only fun when they can be won through hardship and struggle.

I thought they would only trigger if the mortal's did something like complete annihilation of spirit's and disrespect of nature or something to that affect, so it would only make sense to make them a truly reckoning force of nature in that respect.
Also the sandwolves can totally beat back our dog god's easy peasy so something around that power level is necessary with something that can counter them reliably.

yea we need to tone down the wolves a little just make sure they aren't doomsday weapons themselves. As for the Endbringers yea your right if it's doomsday might as well go all out.

Huh go figure looks like the hippogriff's are warrior types, won't do em much good unless they know about their light weakness.
Kakaluncha do the sand wolves die or lie dormant when exposed to light?

The Birth of the Polyp (Likely Canon Omake)
I was thinking how about jelly reproduction. And how to do it with the magic system.
And from that came this play.

___
Birth of the Polyp

Opening, Age of drought:

*Sandwolf enters the stage*
*Sandwolves enter the stage*
Sandwolf King: I have discovered the secret of the light, they summon Nodheia by sacrificing wood to her. Trees are only near water. And if we steal the water then they will have nothing to summon the Scorching one.
*Sandwolves leave the stage*

Choir: Great dancer, gelatinous and glorious as you are we are hungry as there is not water for our crops.

Priestess of the Jellyfish: Our great dancer can only dance to provide for so many for so many and only dance for so long.

Choir: We are desperate. We are hungry, we will eat even everything even if it's wood.
*walks to the the grand tree*

Priestess of the Jellyfish: "Don't! my dancer can not dance without the Grand Tree."

Choir: We are desperate. We are hungry, Give us food or we will eat its wood. It will be our revenge when the dancer is equally hungry.

The Grand tree: Please do not cut my wood children. I can grand your wish, and release you from your hunger children. I will flower again at the end of this year. My highest flower needs to be pollinated and If one eats that fruit with the seed. The seed shall ensure ensure that you will not hunger again for as long it can soak in the light the light. And the flesh shall make ensure you shall only grow stronger and not weaker as you age.
It is however an unfortunate thing, that my fruit can not ripen for there is no tree as great as I.

Priestess of the Jellyfish: The Jelly shall recognize the first hero who presents the pollen ascend 'Polyp' who can dance in the void with the dancer, and help her return the water for all.

*Four adolescents enter the stage*

The Devout: I hear of a chance to serve the Ontos
the Scientist: I hear of a method to research the void unhindered.
The Dancer: I hear of a chance to dance forever.
The Sandwolf King (disguised as a hunter): I hear of a chance to hunt for greater prey. *Whispers to the crowd* But I do not desire to tire myself with the dance and neither do I desire to bathe in the wretched light.

The Grand tree: Go forth seek and a tree as great as I give it my nectar. And ask to bring me it's pollen in exchange.

All four: We will bring you pollen great tree.

*All actor but the wolf leave the stage*

Sandwolf King: That piece of bark can not tell me what to do. I will just steal the pollen from those fools when we are there.

*The Sandwolf reveals their face to drink the nectar while singing a villainous song*

--After a lot of smaller plays throughout their journey, with games to determine who will be the 'polyp' these differ widely from culture to culture--

Well, let me put it this way. When I said it I was intending for both of the races to transform in some capacity. The Hippogriffs, and The Sand Wolves would still have their battle, and would still war it out. However, when those that died go kaput, they could effectively be transformed into valkyries, for the black orbs to scout out and bring more corpses to the sun. Only able to interact with the dead.

That being said Superhero was more intended to be a superpower. Akin to the superpower bullcrap that pretty much every mad science can do. Bruce Banner, The Invisible Man, and the Like would be possible with combinations of the superhero particle. Though I'll change it to hero, since I'm taking in all suggestions regardless of my personal beliefs on the matter.

I'm not sure the sand-wolves could transform into them their much more bestial and primal than the hippogriff's, besides why don't we have the not-angels take care of the suns instead? Seems more fitting imo.

They are infertile. Even if they are ageless apex predator, they are unable to mate and create young Sand-Wolves. So extinction for them is pretty much inevitable.

while that is slightly true we also have no definitive way to kill them yet just incapacitate oh I'm sure one will be found but most likely the wolves will grow to become true terrors as they grow older and more experienced. Maybe even one day gaining sentience, or at least a version of it.

We could bring them all to a single jelly solves that problem easy for one
Another would be to section off areas of the wolves with glowing biolumessent flora if it doesn't matter what kind of light incapacitate's them giving the hippogriffs a much needed chance reducing extinction significantly
Lastly this can be the reason for making Guardian's of Nature AKA Doomsday Creatures for fighting off extinction level threat's like this.
Would still like to not be involved in directly exterminating the sand-wolves, if anyone will do it let it be the griff's or other mortal race's to take a shot at em.

Oh fuck.

Sand-Wolves just are a discount Grimm made of sand instead of shadowy goo.

Nur-dammit!

But yeah, Rul and Rutra were only defeated cause they rolled pretty badly against them. In game, they weren't expecting a recently made species to be so viciously aggressive.
