That was agood turn; I'm definitely curious about the Professor, though having an in with old money could also be useful

[X] Gentlemanly Jack

I feel that the Gentleman is more liklier to find a supporter in the next turn than the professor

I was really down for Wilton originally, you know aside from the possibility of Brock, but Gentlemen Jack would probably adequately serve the same role of aquatic expansion and probably has more interesting growths. Sorry Wilt, but it looks like old money will pull out over the common man once again...

Overall, a great turn. Copycat snuck in just fine and Ariana did some bullshit. Hope the Dojo and the Celadon thing go well!

[X] Gentlemanly Jack

I wanted Wilton for the Stewardship Hero and water experience. But you know what we also need? A Diplomacy Hero, only Surge has an actual diplo stat worth a damn besides us and he's just ok. Plus, Jack might have water experience anyways, maybe even a decent Stewardship stat!

We gotta talk to Brock as soon as possible.

Working with the assumption we don't keep the Eevee long term, as it's decent Pokemon sure but definitely not all that good or fitting of Giovanni's team, and pass it down for some easy loyalty we actually have 3 possible receivers with 4 possible forms if we recruit Jack.

Jolteon would slot nicely in with Surge's team. Surge however is already powerful and decently loyal so maybe not the right pick.
Umbreon would do rather nicely with helping Karen's burgeoning dark type team and solidifying her loyalty and strength.
Vaporeon or Glaceon would serve nicely on ol' Jacks water/ice team and provide some potentially valuable in-roads. Given he's also a socialite the prestige of the Eevee line might also really help his role under us and the social issues that drove him to us.

Hopefully we can get Brock on our side, Gym Leader's will be crucial to have on our side in the future, as the best and brightest trainers are the ones with the most powerful weapons, and a monopoly on force is the key to any fledgling government.

Setting up a Pokemon League of sorts should be a major goal of ours, a major figure in pokemon training and an organization people will look to for all things Pokemon, and having a set of Gym Leaders or two is key to that. Surge and Brock would be just the start, hopefully Sabrina is next.

Unless it proves an unreasonable action sink Giovanni's own induction into the league, if possible to attain at all given Silph Co possible influence, could be a very valuable stepping stone into eventual takeover. Whether that means Gym Leader or something a bit more Elite remains a mystery, though Champion is unfortunately unattainable as long as Lance or any potential protagonist is around.

Karen of course also has good potential to help our monopoly of force, and if we recruit him and it seems possible then perhaps Jack could swoop in to steal a spot himself.

I WILL HAVE MY FISHING JOKES!

[X] Wilton

It took me a bit to get to things, I'll post my thoughts on what's happened soon. So far this looks like a fantastic post!

The vote is called and the dapper Gentlemanly Jack is welcomed into Rocket! I can't say I'm surprised, have you seen his extravagent mustache?

I can't say I have! The image is broken! But I can respect any sufficiently dapper lad.

I noticed some confusion on our potential picks, so I did some research on the units we could have picked (for fun). There's some mild theorization thrown in there too. It might help us out the next time we recruit.

Gentlemanly Jack is the unit we picked; one of the four Grand Masters in Pokemon Trading Card Game, for Game Boy. His decks specialize in ice and water types, and so we're likely to see those as his Pokemon. As a Grand Master, he has one of 4 Legendary Cards - his being Articuno. It is extremely unlikely to impossible that he'd have the legendary bird, but perhaps he wants to seek it out?

Joey is everybody's favorite youngster, with his top percentage Rattata. He's the first trainer players battle in Pokemon Gold, Silver and Crystal; and in the Adventures canon, the assistant of Professor Elm.

Wilton is - similarly to Joey, a trainer from Johto. Unlike Joey, he's a fisherman that mainly specializes in water-types. Notably, in the Adventures continuity; he's the uncle of an arc protagonist - Yellow. The Fishing Gurus, alternatively named the Fishing Brothers - are the characters that give you the different types of rods in Pokemon Red/Blue/Green/Yellow, and Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen. There are 3 confirmed brothers - one on Silence Bridge, one in Fuschia City, and one - funnily enough - in Vermillion City. There is a fourth who may or may not be one of the previous brothers at Johto's Lake of Rage, too. If we're to go by the English translation - the Silence Bridge brother is the youngest of the four, and so, this would probably be Wilton.

Eusine is a minor character in several continuities, but may be best known from Pokemon Gold, Silver and Crystal. His most distinct trait is being a legendary hunter - he most notably chases after Suicune. He's also good friends with Morty, the gym leader of Cianwood City.

Finally, Professor Sebastian is a minor character from the Pokemon anime. A member of Team Rocket, he devised a way to induce rapid evolution in Pokemon; turning a Lake of Rage Magikarp into the Red Gyarados. He has a practical mindset. If we picked him, I bet it'd be easier to find out about shinies; and there's a chance we'd go down the road of making the Red Gyarados.

I want to try recruiting out of region next time, see how that goes. Save trying to recruit again in Kanto for once our Public Perception is up quite a bit more, see if we can get some high end fish.
