Would personally advice to not tell Surge to go fully at the Offensive, since he might have a paralyzis attack that could keep Poliwrath out of bay.
As Omegahugger said, he knows his weapon better than us.

This pace is brutal, something's definitely going to have to change for future battles. Maybe make it 1 hour flash votes, give us the results of the rolls, them have another vote and only do the writeups after all of them or something? I dunno.
yeah, I followed an art quest that did livestreams for the more combat heavy sections, a bit 'sketch style'-ier, but it knocked out what slowed the pacing.
a night of loose writing and a few updates that day knock out multiple rounds, and creates suspense.
edit: WELp,
Paralysis does not take effect, Hitmonchan takes 5 bars of Damage

75+32= 107 vs 46+16+20 (Adaptable)-10 (Debuff)= 72

"Persian, Fury Swipes."
You do not need to say any more before your pokemon breaks off into a sprint towards the Poliwrath, who…didn't make a move to avoid the ferocious feline, likely trying to hypnotize them again and couldn't risk breaking concentration.
"Hitmonchan, intercept them!" Meanwhile, the other duo did not remain idle as you hear the martial artist bark out another order. The other opposing pokemon rushes forward towards your Persian's location…
"Oh no you don't! Raichu, Thunderbolt again!"
…Only to fail to notice the surge of lightning that shot across the field, striking them as they prepared to strike Persian. The Hitmonchan roars in pain as it's engulfed by electrical energy, meanwhile your Persian leaps onto the Poliwrath, unleashing a torrent of claws upon the hybrid pokemon who still did not resist.
One second passes, Persian's claws sweep across Poliwrath's torso and hook deep into its flesh as the Poliwrath stares banefully at your pokemon.
Two seconds pass, Surge's Raichu exhausts itself and ends their attack on the Hitmonchan, leaving them singed and badly wounded, but very much still standing. You estimate you have five seconds before it regains its bearings.
Three seconds pass, Persian's assault is relentless but Poliwrath's discipline does not break.
Four seconds pass, Persian fierce assault begins to slow as the pokemon in question seems to lose focus, now aware of their tricks you are quick to recognize the usage of Hypnosis again.
"Persian, return!" You order. It was then that Poliwrath made a move. Attempting to grapple and hold your pokemon so their hypnosis can take root fully, but it says much about Persian's own intelligence to recognize what it was trying to do and jumped away as the Poliwrath lashed out.
Six seconds and the Hitmonchan surpasses your expectations as they run forward at Raichu earlier than anticipated and strike out with a Mudslap, only for the Raichu to block it with the tip of its tail at the very last moment.
You look at the opposing trainers, who are having a much harder time to conceal their growing frustrations after your successful assault. You allow yourself to smirk, taking pleasure in this.
The battle may not be over yet, but you can feel that victory is only just beyond arm's reach. It's time to seize it with both hands and prove your strength to these mere children who thought to challenge you!
Who does Persian target?
[] The Poliwrath
[] The Hitmonchan
What strategy does Giovanni deploy?
-[ ] (Strategy) Killshot Focus entirely for an offensive push by rushing your target and trying to incapacitate it with a well-aimed Slash.
(+20 to the offensive and damage rolls that turn, -20 to the defensive roll if attacked that turn)
-[ ] (Strategy) War of Attrition Through a combination of Persian's Screech and Growl abilities, you could minimize the threat your target risks to you by depowering both their offensive and defensive capabilities for a time.
(+20 to the defensive roll that turn, success does not do any damage but gives your target -10 in offensive rolls and -20 in defensive rolls for the next 2 turns)
-[ ] (Strategy) Cat and Mouse With Persian's superior speed, deploy a hit-and-run strategy and wear down your target while always remaining just out of their reach.
(+10 to the offensive and defensive rolls that turn.)
There's no time to give detailed plans, but Giovanni could give Surge a general order. Does he?
-[ ] (Surge) "Go on the offensive and target…"
–[ ] "The Poliwrath"
–[ ] "The Hitmonchan"
-[ ] (Surge) "Stay on the defensive and be ready to intercept any attacks that come our way"
-[ ] (Surge) "Use Leer to weaken our enemies' defenses."
-[ ] (Surge) No, you trust the Lieutenant to act wisely on his own.

Persian hasn't been hit, both of our trainers have a pokemon in reserve, and our opponents only get a turn if they survive the attack. Surge does more damage to Poliwrath since it's weak to electricity, leaving us to finish off Hitmonchan by going first.
In short, I think everyone will be happy if we end this now, and we can afford to go on the offensive at this point.
[X] The Hitmonchan

good rolls all around
we shouldn't get cocky, but by this point we can presumably expect a victory generally, so it's more of a question of how we want to achieve it?
what do you think would be the best way to make a positive impression on them, both in terms of showing off and not coming off like a jerk? it could be wise to do that
alternatively, we may want to minimise any risk of damage, since we can afford to do so, whatever that would be
hitmonchan only needs a single hit for instance so we can put the pokemon with less damage, but highest chance of hitting on it?
how about killshot on hitmonchan to get it out of the way (increased chance to hit being ideal here), while the decreased defense isn't an issue if it's off the board and unable to attack us?
this might be controversial, but we can then ask surge to defend in case either of them try and pull something out of desperation, and after that the two of us would be able to double-team poliwrath
(surge could attack hitmonchan and us defend if it makes more sense (persian is bulkier/more physical so might be better, but i'm not sure if war of attrition/cat and mouse are good options for defending? so it depends on if surge's options are better. at the very least his higher martial would mean it's less likely for an attack to get through?)
i thought of the current setup first and it seems easier to order in the heat of the moment, but if someone wants i could swap it to give surge the "glory", or such? hard to say what looks better.
(i think it would be wise to give surge at least one general order, especially if it's tactically sound? we are their boss, so showing leadership would probably be a good call/helpful to future fights and stuff, and look less like we're two trainers doing their own thing to others
please don't hate me for a plan that could theoretically take even more time because we're defending instead of attacking :/
i could argue that making sure we hit/don't get messed with this turn, then being able to hopefully take the remaining poliwrath in a single turn is better than risking it and potentially making things take even longer, but tbh i just want to do it right. can't go back on this later, after all, and if we have to remember this fight as the one that lasted 8+ updates then it's best to make it memorable/the best it can be? which is why i'm hoping to send orders and use tatics and stuff
Before making a vote I need to ask @Brightflame The debuff from War of Attrition still works for the next turn? Asking since im not sure if its two turns counting the one where its used or next two turns after its used

Nice!
Stacking wouldnt do much since the Hitmonchan just has 1HP, so might go for everyone´s plan here since the probability to miss is low with it debuffed [X] The Hitmonchan

A Foe of Their Own Making When they first got rid of the Rocket Division, they underestimated its members and never would have expected that they would make their own worst enemy. But with Rocket Group's rise from the shadows, they vow never to make that same mistake again.
Premise: Write a document-formatted omake from the perspective of Silph Co, detailing Rocket Group's history, the threat they pose, and theories on its unknown leader.
Reward(s): +10 to the next Turn action target Silph Co OR Silph Co takes a -15 Malus to their next action. Possibility of canon ascension.

Background:
The Rocket Division, currently known as Rocket Group or Team Rocket as is known colloquially, was Silph Co's premier research branch in the research of Pokemon. After the first outbreak of Mu-based creatures, before they were assigned the proper name of Pokemon, happened; it was the Rocket Division that pioneered all studies and experiments on this new species of creatures.
This branch had the most resources, top of the line equipment, and most capable scientist available from the company assigned to them with the one goal of researching all that there was to be about this new species of creatures created during the outbreak.
Despite the accidents that occurred and present events, one thing to make clear is that thanks to the efforts of Rocket Division we have managed to discover almost all that we know about Pokemon nowdays.
This is not to say that they were the only ones capable of achieving this, but thanks to them what would have taken other scientist years or decades was done in such a shorter timeframe, allowing Silph Co. to take full advantage of them. To take things into consideration, one of the company's most prized products, the Pokeball (SCP_product_0001), was created by them to store and contain Pokemon. Nowadays, is one, if not the most sold product in every store of each city in the Zone.
Not only that, but this branch was also the one that came to the realization that Pokemon could be tamed, they were not just feral animals that wanted wanton destruction on everything in sight, they were truly living beings that could be reached out to, could be befriended, and above all, trained so we humans could lead them.
This discovery paved the path to a revolution of culture in Neo Kanto, this led to making catching and training Pokemon a viable lifestyle for people, and a way to more easily obtain Pokémon.
Whether the board of directors are willing to accept or not, it's clear as day that Rocket Division was a vital piece, if not the cornerstone, of the Megacorp that is Silph Co.
Which makes it all more tragic for what became of them.
Cinnabar Island Incident.
To this day, it is still nothing less of a tragedy what happened on Cinnabar Island on XXXX of XXXX. The cause that leads to this incident has been completely erased from all logs and documentations aside from this one. Only the original members of the board of directors are aware of it, newcomers that don't possess a clearance level of 7 or higher will be kept in the dark.
As a warning, if you don't possess the clearance necessary and found yourself reading this, it's highly recommended for your safety that you stop reading this and make your best effort to forget about what you have read, you have been forewarned.
As is well known, back then Silph Co. made its best efforts to maintain the Pokemon Monopoly, any attempts to smuggle them to other zones had been completely shut down and for a while, it seemed that Silph Co. had managed to keep this phenomenon for Neo-Kanto only.
That's why the rumors of Pokemon creatures being sighted in Neo-Johto raised alarms for the concerned parties. This was a clear threat to the power base the company was building, and if one Zone could somehow get access to the Pokemon, then there was clear reason to believe that other Zones could follow next.
This was the reason that pushed the Rocket Division to attempt that disastrous experiment. Worried for the company Monopoly in Pokemon to being challenged, Rocket decided to try what would basically be considered trying to contain lighting in a bottle. I'm talking about the Specimen µ (Please refer to File XXXX for more information on the matter).
Project µ2 was the name of this attempt, with the one goal of creating the ultimate pokemon, one that had the best qualities of each and every Pokémon in existence, and most important, complete loyalty in its creators.
Project was given the go ahead and no expenses were spared. This was completely off the books, giving total liberty to the Rocket Division to work to achieve this one goal.
We don't know what exactly Rocket Division did in Cinnabar Island, or the full extent of the experiments, what we do know is that at the end, the research Facility located there went down in flames, wasting millions if not billions of pokedollars in resources. This is a lose that to this day Silph. Co. hasn't been able to fully recover.
The board of directors acted with haste to contain the fallout of this incident, putting the blame rightfully in the Rocket Division and their inability to achieve the desired results. All personnel were fired, all projects that the group were working on had been scrapped and most importantly, all evidence of project µ2 were purged from the archives.
We believed that this would be enough protect Silph Co. and avoid great losses… but apparently this very act seemed to have created what could potentially be this Megacorp greatest enemy.
Current Status:
The group known as Rocket Division no longer exist, instead what stands in its place is the Rocket Group, or Team Rocket if you prefer, a criminal organization that consist of former scientist and technicians of the once famous division, alongside a considerable number of criminals and gangster, that is clearly opposed to Silph Co. and everything it represents.
We still don't know how long the Group has been active. It could have been right after the Cinnabar Island Incident, could be just a recent occurrence… or perhaps Rocket Group was the one working on the project µ2 instead of the Rocket Division.
What we do know is that this criminal organization employs a considerable number of trainers and Pokémon as well as are involved in several criminal activities, being a considerable presence in Neo Kanto underworld, if not outright being the leader of it.
We have confirmation that the Group is involved in several gambling rings, but we lack the knowledge of how in depth has their roots spread. Our attempts to find leads to follow so far have been… not successful.
What makes Rocket Group a threat is twofold. For starters, they are fully committed to employing Pokémon for their plans, willing to use them against anyone that stands in their way, they are a clear threat to the monopoly that Silp Co. has fought so hard to maintain.
The second reason for why they are a significant threat is that is alleged that several members of the Original Rocket Division work for them, which means that this criminal and terrorist organization have capable scientist in their midst, able to unlock more secrets about the Pokemon and make significant discoveries that could shake the world itself.
Don't forget that it was this very said group that helped Silph Co. reach the significance it has today, those brilliant minds and incomplete projects that were once worked on Silph, if they fell on the wrong hands could spell disaster for the Megacorp.
We are aware of the risk that Rocket Group means for Neo Kanto and resources are being prepared to deal with them... whether these are successful or not is something we shall see in the future.
Leadership:
Little is known, or nothing in fact, of who leads this resurfaced group. They have done an excellent job to hide any and all information about them. We have some theories of who their boss could be based on these facts:
Whoever they are they must possess great charisma skills to have taken control of the remnants of Rocket Division.
They must possess significant resources of their own to been able to prop and fund Rocket Group in the start of their career.
Must be a Scientist themselves or someone affiliated with Silph Co. and the Cinnabar Incident, or at least, aware of the reason why the board of Directors got rid of Rocket Group.
Must have a clear interest in Pokemon, either because of their potential, or scientific fascination.
Based on all this, our current lead for who the leader of Team Rocket may be is:
Professor Samuel Oak.
Reading this may come as absurd, but the amount of time investigating the leads and looking for proof of the mysterious leader of the terrorist Organization has made us believe that Samuel Oak could be an ideal match for the leader of Rocket group based on the following:
He may or may not have been involved with project µ2. We don't have clear proof of this, contrary to the confirmed presence of Blaine or Shigeki, the first who didn't confirm or deny our theories, and the latter has not been sighted after the incident. An expert in Pokemon such as him could have been a great boon during the development of the project, so we shouldn't ignore this.
His clean record. While this may sound weird, Samuel Oak has one of the cleanest records ever seen, never accepted any bribes, or shadow deals, or participated in illegal or immoral experiments…that we could find. This spotless record, instead of proving Samuel Oak innocence, may hint that the Professor has done such a well-done job of hiding any evidence of criminal acts from the public and concerned parties.
He being a renowned researcher himself could have been the main reason why the former members of Rocket Division decided to follow and obey him. He could have wanted Rocket's researchers and resources to further his own studies in Pokemon, giving him a freedom that most scientist wish for.
While this is so far a theory that may not hold water if tested enough, Samuel Oak checks several boxes that he cannot just be discarded as an option. So far our attempts to find more about him and possible connections with Rocket Group have turned unsuccessful. But that doesn't mean we will stop pursuing this lead, sooner or later the Professor will slip and give us the opening we need.
And once we find who this elusive leader is, the days of Rocket Group can be counted.
We do this for Silph Co. because this Mega Corp is the way for Neo Kanto to achieve even greater highs.
@Brightflame here is my attempt to the Silph Co. Docummented in the omake board. How does it look?
For anyone that takes time to read this, i would ask if you could give me your opinion. Any and all critics to help improve my writing are welcomed.
It looks simply delightful King, and it was certainly great to read! I don't see any glaring flaws either, so you did a really good job!
A few things I liked was the unknown author trying to give an ultimately unbiased view on the Group, but at times let their personal feelings slip. I must also say the idea of some suspecting the very Father of Pokemon leading RG was not something I ever thought of, but after reading the explanation the logic does make sense mostly.
What reward would you like from the Bounty, and would you like this to become ascended canon?
