There Was A Different Idea: An MCU Producer Quest

[X] Plan Starstruck V.2

Oh dear, Kevin's causing trouble.

Out of curiosity: how is the competition decided? Are they all rolled for, just the new DC ones with the rest left as was, or no rolls involved?

An introspective superman movie about Clark choosing to become Superman where Clark is likeable, humanity gives him reasons to want to protect them, and Superman let's himself be charming as a hero who makes people feel saved!

Hey! At least this means we can probably get Henry Cavill. Any ideas for casting him, if he isn't snapped up somehow, and put in a different role. I mean, could Henry Cavill play Batman?

Well, the independent movie is somehow trash, as always is with independents besides Blade, X-Men is mediocre at best again, and Superman decided to just punch the box office with his movie's quality.

Edit:

Regarding the competitors things, at least on the bright side the Comic Fans are experiencing one massive Renaissance on Comic Movies, but yeah Kevin Feige is going to make us work for our top spot

Kevin Feige is indeed going to make us work for glory (and profit) all the way to phase where DCEU changes to D-She-U

Fun fact btw. Rumors from Disney/Marvel tell that originally Avengers Endgame plot had Thanos beating big 3 to death and then female heroes would come in, take the scattered iconic items and beat Thanos.
Same stories tell that Russo brothers threatened to quit the project if this wasn't changed and managed to get Disney bosses and investor on their side. The cringe girl power scene was leftovers from original.

Disney be like:

integrate female characters into the action organically: :???:

vomit them in as mary sues for sweet girlboss points: :V

Seriously, what even was that plan?

Anyways as for the action itself…at least we could negotiate for Punisher now that his independent movie's floundered, no? I think we might have a solid role for Keanu if we manage that…

True, but Jon Bernthal's still available, so let's wait for either Kraven or Taskmaster for Keanu to shine.

It's the same thing that is destroying anything good in entertainment these days. First it becomes popular, then lot of people say "I would like to work there, because I like it a lot". The fact that they have no connection to it or any knowledge of it doesn't matter. It's all about their ideas how it should go and these people seem to got Feige on their side.

Making good entertainment requires passion. That's why FF14 is hot these days while WoW is slowly crashing. Because FF14 developers care, while all people who cared of WoW left ages ago. Leaving only those who want their next "best idea ever for game system" in, no matter what players say. Because they got no connection with them, because they don't play.

Comics, same thing. There is actually comic serials where the writer doesn't know how the character power work until somewhere near issue 5 (Domino). All the complainers are toxic. Naturally.

MCU is next. All the big male leads are gone. Feige is actually pushing Ironheart to replace Iron man. Character whose serial failed miserably. Heck, you could call it '101 how to make a villain' rather hero comic.

Rest of the crew is mostly female D-lister.

Sad part is, it would be so easy to make good entertainment with female leads. But when there is no passions, just people who make bad fanfiction versions of heroes they want to "change better" well, writing is on the wall for MCU.

While this current conversation is interesting in its own right, let's not derail the Quest, capisce? :)

You know, when I saw Iron Man back in action in the comics I didn't thought how he came back alive at all. It wasn't even surprising. But I should have figured that Ironheart poor results could have contributed to it.

But it does make me think about introducing Ironheart before Iron Man dies. Much like how in Hawkeye they're introducing Kate before Clint one day retire. It makes it feel more natural rather than inserting a character after someone died. That said, it does make me think that we should plan ahead for the next generation because we lack what comic writers have, unaging characters. Meanwhile our actors can't play the characters forever because they will either grow too old or want to leave like Holland because he doesn't his entire career be about one character.

While it's nice to have characters to hand over torch. I would suggest going for other teams first. New Warriors vs Thunderbolts would be nice. We could even introduce the future Thunderbolts as enemies in somewhere as super mooks of Avengers villain before they get to Zemo's fake hero team.

Not a bad idea, perhaps we establish the next generation then focus on other teams for awhile? By doing that, whenever we decide to go back to Avenger stuff the actors would have grown up a bit into their young adulthood.

On another note, forgot to comment on the competition. The first two were no surprise. Then as others said, Kevin is going to be a great rival. While scary, I see it as a good thing mostly. A better DCEU would help foster more fans of superhero movies. Which means that more people will likely check out our movies when they come out. (Just have to maintain a good reputation of course. :V)

I'm not sure how much I believe this given the tendency of Very Online MRA types to spin out wild rumors about "wokeification" of their favorite franchises, and in any case a planned plot from our timeline that didn't even get approved isn't a reason for us to not broaden the appeal of this alternate-universe MCU with characters everyone can see themselves reflected in.

Plus, the writing-out of the Captain America and Iron Man is less a nefarious plot by woke Disney execs and more due to the fact that the Russo Brothers openly stated that they didn't like or understand the characters :V

Hey, it could be worse. They could have given the movie to Zack "heroic characters are for children" Snyder.

I keep trying to picture what a Zack Snyder version of Civil War, Infinity War, or Endgame would look like, but whenever I try blood starts leaking out of my eyes and ears and I pass out :V

I don't think he was that bad, I do agree that his movies weren't good but I think he genuinely tried

and it's not like the movies were all awful, there were some great moments, and he did have some interesting takes on characters.
