There Was A Different Idea: An MCU Producer Quest

Omake Pitch: Disgusted by the fight choreography in Iron Man 2, Matt brings Stahelski over to help coordinate the fighting and actually make it good.

[X] Plan: Depp Dies
It's a pity having such a great actor for just one movie. Then again, he is already a big name in the industry. Giving his spotlight to our not-quite-but-less-known cast is a good compromise.

X] Plan: Depp Dies
-[X] [Vanko] No, keep him dead just like the story says. (Negotiation Roll)
-[X] Use the three free Rerolls on Sound Design, Editing and Choreography.
-[X] Take another month after this (and thus three more rolls to allocate when we get there.)

Alright, votes are closed, "Plan: Depp Dies" wins.

However, I will remind you guys that planning is by month, so this option "[X] Take another month after this (and thus three more rolls to allocate when we get there.)" is not valid. After this update you can decide if you take another month.

Also, since you did not allocate the rerolls save for just telling me to use them for Sound Design Editing and Choreography I will use one roll for each of them.

Update may take a while today.

Vanko dies, the movie doesn't - Production and Post-Production: The Invincible Iron Man (September 2010)
The Winning Vote said:
[X] Plan: Depp Dies
-[X] [Vanko] No, keep him dead just like the story says. (Negotiation Roll)
-[X] Use the three free Rerolls on Sound Design, Editing and Choreography.

Choreography: 89 (Reroll)

You have to give to give credit to the actors. Once they had proper direction, as well as a good indicator of where the flaws where, they had no problems in coming back to reshoot the fight scenes again, and this time they are actual, proper, fighting scenes, not like the flailing of the arms that you'd been subjected just last month. There is great satisfaction within you as you can finally see the fight between Iron Man and Whiplash be properly choreographed and not seem like a couple of men just play pretending.

The fight between Robbie and Yung looks more grounded as well, and you've heard it's because Yung has been teaching Robbie some moves to improve the scenes. It brings a tear to your eye when your stars can help each other without you needing to spend money in trainers.

Of them all, Omar's fighting scenes were the only ones not to need any reshoots...You don't know if that should make you feel happy or sad.

Sound Design: 75 (Reroll)

Perhaps scared of you doing what you somehow did to the VFX team (Seriously, will that rumor never end?) sound design worked on all the flaws that they could find, managing to not only correct them but also improve on the quality and the Music Score as well. Now you can have some truly dark, yet fun music whenever Whiplash is on the scene, and they even managed to combine it with Iron Man's own theme without clashing into a cacophony.

Editing: 63 (Reroll)

Well, it's not a disjointed mess anymore, and aside from a couple of mistimings you can say that this is certainly good. No longer will you be hunted by the image of Tony and Pepper kissing suddenly transitioning into a car crash...Where did they even found that in the first place, there were completely different scenes in different times!

Negotiation Roll: 91

In the end, and to his visible relief, you decided to side with Favreau. You could see the draw from marvel to have an actor like Johnny to come back and reenact the role of Whiplash, but you also knew how that path would end, with an overreliance of the actor and character, eventually having to pay millions just for the chance of another rehash that could have been put to better use by doing something new and original to entice the audience.

Luckily your new ally in the Creative Committee agreed with you; Avi was always one for more bold and innovative ideas than others, and he was even able to convince Ike to abandon the idea by pointing out how much just having Johnny Depp appear was costing them, and would cost them in the future. The request was quietly withdrawn, and Vanko was allowed to die in the end.

Well, thank God for that.

Once done you could focus on the final aspects of the film: The Post-Credit Scenes. Right now Favreau has no idea to add for them so it's all up to you whether one should be added or not.

[] [Mid-Credit] Yes and I have an idea for it.

You still have one month before you release the film, and you could earn more goodwill if you release it now and find a date that can maximize the profit. Then again you could also try and polish the film's rough edges to make it shine even more. The Execs might ba a bit miffed of course, but nothing too serious.

(You have 3 rerolls)
[ ] [Reshoot] Reshoot to improve a roll.
-[ ] Reroll what result? (Write-in)
[ ] [Reshoot] Intense Focus on a single roll (+10).
-[ ] Where should you focus? (Write-in)
(You have 3 additions/changes)
[ ] [Scene] Add or change a story element in the movie.
-[ ] Add or change what?

[ ] [Reshoot] Delay the movie to reshoot (Negotiation Roll)
-[ ] Reroll what result and how many? (Write-in)
-[ ] Add or change what? (Write-in)

[ ] [Reshoot] No reshoot. Greenlight to release.
- [] [Reshoot] When: Write In

Release date: October 2010

So, two rerolls on Antagonist Chemistry and one more on editing? Editing is okay right but could be better while AC is the only bad roll left.

I want my credits scene that involves Nefaria and Madame Masque in this, except the weapon is replaced with the power stone.

Also, I'm thinking +20 intense focus on villain chemistry, but if the roll is 70 or higher, one of the intense focuses goes toward editing.

So, I'm thinking, if the Villain Chemistry roll is lower than 70, we intense focus two times on it. But if it's higher than that, we only intense focus once on Chemistry and add the other to Editing, to polish this up.

Might want to add something that specifies if it's below a target number it just rerolls again. Like if it's below 30 or something. I would think just rolling again would be worth it at that point.

[X] Plan Ending The March
-[X] [Mid-Credit] Yes and I have an idea for it.
--[X] [Mid-Credit] Nick Fury is sitting in his office when his phone starts ringing. He picks it up and asks who it is. We then cut to Agent Coulson, wearing a wooly parka, on the balcony of a SHIELD base in a snowy location, who responds and says; "Sir, you won't believe who my boys found out in the Arctic." The camera then pans downward and we see what Coulson's looking at; a frozen shield with a star on it deeply encased in ice.
-[X] [Post-Credit] Yes and I have an idea for it.
--[X] Post-Credit] Madame Masque is in a Maggia safe house and facing a computer, being briefed by who we can assume to be Count Nefaria. He is using a voice changer, so as to not spoil who it is, though. Nefaria half-heartedly laments that Vanko is dead and that most of the Stark Tech they'd stolen is now confiscated or destroyed. Frost(Masque) politely responds that they still have the Arc Reactors in the other warehouses as well as two Iron Man suits. Nefaria reluctantly agrees with this, before switching the topic to asking if Frost has completed the transportation of the stone, as requested by the client. Frost replies that she has indeed, before commenting that the stone is very dangerous, and its properties are not to be messed with. Nefaria chuckles and replies that this is simply a test and that if there are any possible problems, they will be able to find them during this time period. "After all, Mr. Williams promised results," he says.
-[X] [Reshoot] Reshoot to improve a roll.
--[X] Villain Chemistry
-[X] [Reshoot] Intense Focus on a single roll (+10).
--[X] Villain Chemistry x2
---[X] If Villain Chemistry roll is or above 65, spend one Intense Focus on Editing.

This is my initial plan, but if anyone can give a decent idea for a Mid-Credits Scene, I'll change it accordingly.

Edit: Changed it so that there's a mid-credits scene now.

I would say update it because we now have the actor, but that would give away the surprise factor.

Cap waking up in a shield hospital? Seeing as he is the last film before the avengers. Im not at all stealing this from elsewhere.
That would give away the ending of the movie.

I'm thinking either Nick Fury or Stark get contacted by Agent Coulson, who says; "Sir, we need you to come immediately. You'll not believe what my men fished out of the Arctic."

I'm open to something else, though.

Whoops right, something to do with cap then.

Maybe change it to name drop cap so its less ambiguous?

I mean, I don't want to end the Captain American movie having it be a WWII era prequel anyways?

So if it was him waking up and we wanted to do a, "Old Cap In New World" style thing like I planned that'd be fine. Though not doing that would also be fine too.
