So all this talk of what to do for tails when dealing with clothes...

A ex from a few yrs ago had a tail...

It could wiggle a little but was under the skin and because they were extremly thin bordering on anorexic its structure could be seen going down towards the right side cheek...

They said some clothes irritated it... but that they were used to it.

But thier tail was under the skin...
I'm not entirely sure, but I suspect that is their coccyx, some people have a loose one and for most its rigid or even fused, but similar to how I myself can move my entire scalp with the muscles that should be pulling my ears and nobody else I've met can do that, they likely can move their coccyx with their gluteus maximus and levitator ani muscles, and a side-bent coccyx is a thing that happens for some people, usually it can cause pain but I'd imagine that is partly or mostly due to the coccyx usually being somewhat rigid as an extra support structure for the pelvic organs and pelvic floor. If they have some issues with bowel movements, then its almost certainly their coccyx, since a properly formed coccyx helps control of bowel movements.

That Louise de la Vallière infiltrated in several fics of containing across multiple universes in because of a summoning going wrong. Seems very relevant.

I'm very confused, I don't recall any Louise in this class.
The SV staff decided to swap Taylor's name with Louise de La Vallière of Familiar of Zero (just as they are still swapping Worm with FoZ). After a large number of complaints to the staff, they have rolled back the name swap.

Spilsports with no sense of humor, this wasn't even as bad as that time Tamamo-no-mae escaped
There actually is a legitimate reason for this though if they carpet changed Taylor and Louise then a bunch of Links broke that used either Taylor or Louise in the title; ppl complaining about the links being broken because of a prank means that they did not think it though when they programed the change.

It's for one day and it's a clever reference to the history of the site. Not finding it that funny is fine but finding it offensive?

That just seems unreasonable.
I have strong opinions on the importance of respecting a persons words. I do not care if it is supposed to be funny, or if its for one day.i do not like it.

No, they wouldn't break. Thread links don't care about the title of the thread at all; that's entirely decorative to make the URL easier for humans to identify. The only part that matters to the forum backend is the thread number.

So, for instance, the URL of this page has a part that looks like this: /threads/the-taste-of-peaches-worm-au.56049/ Now, yes, it has the thread name in it, but the only part that actually matters is the thread number, 56049. You can change the name part to anything you like and it will still work:

As does only using the thread number:
Code:
https://forums.sufficientvelocity.com/threads/56049/

TIL. Nice, thanks for pointing that out!

Except that not all links posted here are of threads from this forum. What you are demonstrating here reduces, but does not eliminate, problems caused by changing a word in a link. I didn't personally encounter any such links, but can think of a few links where this could have been a problem. I am unwilling to try to find and break links just to prove a point, so you can take that as a concession of defeat if you like, but I can understand why some people found the prank less funny than others.

Personally, I found it to be not funny in and of itself, no need to cause problems, but also wasn't offended by it.
