Two problems with Oda!Vista.
- She's not even remotely Japanese.
- Nobunaga was purely mundane. This is a story about the return of things that are much more magical in nature.

A better counterargument: the base idea here is that new people, born in the new era and taking up the old mantles as opposed to old people returning. A reincarnation would kinda go against that.

Point one really doesnt matter. Taylor is neither Japanese, Greek or Nordic and yet she has powers from all three. As for Nobunaga's 'normalcy', while it is true that he was a real person, his reputation as a demon has become extremely well entrenched. There is a very good reason why so many depictions of him have him as, well, a demon. Considering the fact that the supernatural is confirmed to exist, Nobunaga being an actual Demon of some kind isnt completely bonkers.
Also, we know nothing about Missys Parents, other than the fact they keep trying to kill each other, so one of them being of Japanese decent isnt impossible. Espesually in Brockton Bay.
