So does the xcom game exist on this earth?
It's not. We're a small group with maybe a hundred people? Trying to occupy and control the entire world. The second point? Won't happen in the middle of an alien invasion and ordinary politicians do not think like SV where the first order of business is to murderhobo or conquer everyone else.

100 combat personnel with effective support personnel and tech to make a single solder wreck entire battalions of first world solders and a single tank wipe out hundreds of equivalent tanks. and tech that allows for mass recruitment of loyal minnions
No. It's "50 loyal personnel" from starcraft, along with probably a few dozen soldiers & support personnel from XCOM.
Even if you're not overestimating our military might? We're talking about entire armies with WMDs.

Here's how it will probably go. A huge invasion of extraterrestrials invade Earth. Something right out of scifi, and probably the one thing that will unite mankind--since it's a singular threat out to wipe out or enslave our species.
Then we come in with a lot of fancy human technology. All we ask is for funding (and personnel) to hire people, build up industry (a lot of our shit is too advanced to really be built off earth industry at the start anyway) and do R&D. We can sell products to first/second world countries' for their militaries while building ourselves up. We can send our own troops out as PMCs when necessary, and probably play the leading role in creating a space fleet.
After we fight off the aliens? Space practically and legally has no territory. We can easily become a megacorp and become a de facto sovereign country in space if we really want to.

well we will wait and see if we are here first or the aliens .
We NEED the Earths Population though 6-7 Billion people are this rock if we want to eventaily take the fight to the Dirty Xenos Bastards we need a large navy and an equaly large army. both we can only get here on earth.
If we do not have enough time to unite mankind before the aliens show up we can institute an indoctrination procedure on all of our new recruits ( probably while they are doing Gene mods) so we have our large army of Space Guardsmen and an effective Space navy (we have to have chased off the Aliens) so we can just formally unite mankind ( using Shadows and mind control proceduers as necessary) and any Resistance crushed.

You know, it IS possible for you to build your own help.
We can do that by co-operating with what will be the military alliance of humanity anyway. Really, we're going to be the gift horse and I think in what's to be the biggest crisis to our species to date, they won't look us in the mouth.
Also, I'm just saying but do take note the QM rated my post "insightful", particularly the one where I said earth politicians will not try to murderhobo and conquer for no reason.

True but as Megaman itself shows us AI is a Hell of a crap shoot. there are Good AIs yes but they are more or less out numbered . I would rather have Humans in command with Simplistic AI's doing the grunt work ( No Free will at all, Shakled and all the safeguards w can devise)

That isn't what megaman shows at all, AI in it is extremely reliable. The AI made by dr light that turn "evil" are actually tricked by dr willy who then reprograms them
Last I checked, china and russia were super powers. And why do 1st world nations matter? most of the raw materials come from 3rd world countries. Not to mention that all manufacturing has been moved out of 1st world countries. If you want to seize the worlds manufacturing you want to capture taiwan, china, and russia
With our starcraft tech we can take africa and convert it into an army of super high tech marines and the like easily. we need raw materials and manpower, not 21st century human tech. We got tech coming out the wazoo
The aliens in xcom are not out to kill humanity, they are out to conquer and assimilate it. Their attacks are meant to cultivate humanity into a useful tool by giving them an incentive and the means to develop. that is the whole point of the plot. but since we took the xcom upgrade that says aliens will fight us seriously then they might skip to conquest instead of cultivation of primitive potential new recruits

Well we realy don't know for sure what the world will be this is all speculation at this point

Okay Easily hacked/Converted AI's are not better we may look into it further but Manned should be our focus

mmm, that is a good point actually. 21st century earth does have plenty of hackers and it would suck to have our robots be turned against us.

and I repeatedly pointed out that our starcraft marine barracks can take literally any human we throw in it, reprogram their brain, and build them into a starcraft marine which is stronger than 21st century tanks and airplanes.
we won't be taking it over with our dozens of people, our dozens of people will be doing research while we take over the world with armies of millions of robots and reprogrammed humans.
I think a bigger concern is whatever supernatural powers are currently around

Why not? 1 Space guardsmen could remove any number of third world soldiers and warlords and we can then covert them into more Space guardsmen build up enough steam and we can build up one hell of an army realatively quickly. not to mention most people would thank us for cleaning up the place.
if we can build our army peacefuly sure lets go with that but if we want to take on the Externals and their empire we at minimum need all of mankind behind us.
Keep in mind with Xcom Gene mods ,Titian power armor, and Plasma weaponry they can all be converted into Basically Space Marines so they will be far more ptient than their Terrain counter parts ( Refer to my Possible unit chart)
supernatural community is indeed our biggest X-factor I would sugest we get a few Shadows ( refer to possible unit chart) to look into it

That is the big problem, I said we should have located our base in africa for a reason.
that being said... there is east europe which is basically 3rd world.
That doesn't matter. You can't build a robot army to conquer everyone else without first using your <100 people to secure the natural resources necessary.

We could, as a PR move, exclude certain nations from our conquest, publicly congratulating them on being such stellar people that they don't need our help to clean up.
We do have the ability to mine on our own, you know.
And we can sell some basic stuff (say, sell some computer improvements to intel) and then use that money to buy tons and tons of minerals to use for building our robot armies.
"We plan on conquering the wolrd" does not mean "we plan on playing idiot ball, can only execute one plan at once, and are incapable of trade, intrigue, and diplomacy"
As long as the tech we do sell is not weapon's tech or easily weaponized, we have nothing to fear from it.
Heck, we could just cut a deal with euro government to plug their power grid into our elerium reactors to power all of europe for lots of cash
