I'm fine with interrogating him -- in a shack in the boonies with no electronics around us for miles.
I have to ask why. You think he can hack into shit with his mind? As long as we keep him from credible sources of Madness, or just unconscious, we should be good. And it's not like scanning his head or resocializing him requires his conciousness (though I hesitate to do Resocialization, seems like something that would cause madness).
There's a bulkhead on the southeast side of the house.
A what?

A bulkhead, as I'm referring to it, is a two layered door/staircase between a structure's basement and the outdoors. The inner door is in the basement, you open it, and there are some stairs leading up to ground level. Covering this is an angled metal hatch, which is meant to keep precipitation and debris from accumulating in the stairs.

Oh. Well, wish we knew that sooner, like, before we picked the lock.

Alright, so, not sure if our Joes should continue the plan as is, and enter the basement through the inside entrance, having to go past the mage but is also likely faster, or going through that bulkhead, slower but safer.

Since it seems like no-one feels like voting and/or talking about the vote, I will ask some questions for the future.
@I just write
Have you figured out what it would take to terraform planets yet, energy and resource wise?

Our space-craft's sensors, do we got anything more exotic than just light? And if we WE do, do the aliens?
Reason why I'm asking is, once we fix the heat-sink problem, I don't see why we can't cloak a entire space-ship for extended periods of time, and if they don't got any sensors besides light, they can't tell we are there.

How does a portal work when connecting two areas with time flowing at different rates (like into a Time-stopped zone)? Both magic portals, and our SCIENCE! portals when we get them, if there's any difference

Terraforming generally requires planet-wide infrastructure to the degree that you might as well just build an O'neill cylinder and get more return for your investment.

Your spacecraft have gravitational sensors in addition to electromagnetic sensors, and so do the aliens.

Do you want a wormhole time machine? Because that's how you get a wormhole time machine.

Darn. There goes the easy bragging rights. Still do-able, but not nearly as do-able.
What's the range on those?
That... has interesting possibilities. Stable time travel? Or is this access alternate parallel time-lines?
Can I get a vote count, I'm kind of preoccupied at the moment, so I'm outsourcing to you @Trondason

From 8:48 AM to 12:25 AM ? Man, that's a lot of work.

One other bit of infodump. Gio doesn't actually know about Technomancers, he's been retired since before they were a thing. This may prove relevant in the near future.

Must have been retired for quite a fair while then. And not keep in contact with any friends who are still doing stuff.

But I was planning on expanding our base of mages soonish. Either to have people in the field, or to just contribute their knowledge.

Technomancy only really became viable in late 2006, just so you know. Even then the results were pitiful compared to more traditional methods until 2013. It'll only get better as technology improves.

Unexpected Guests 8
As Adrian distracts the Mage while Anne and J-179 stop twitching, several more Stun Grenades are thrown through the window, smashing the glass. The hostile's limbs blur from rapid motion, as he manages to bat or kick most of them back the way they came and duck around another corner to avoid the pair he missed.
Both will live... but something's changed about Anne on a fundamental level and both have heavy brain damage, Anne much more so.
The Mage readies another of those EMP spells to try and take down Adrian, but is disrupted by having to evade more laser fire from outside. Grunting, he hides behind a wall briefly, while readying another antimagic pulse to break your robot's perception filters. Adrian fires again, but misses while the mage looses the spell.

The 6 robots you had outside suddenly become visible, as all the active magic in a significant radius is disrupted. This also applies to the group of three other Joes already partway into the house, but they've already silently ducked around a corner and manage to escape detection as they slip into the basement.

They burst into the basement, only to find what seems to be a small server farm. You order them "We're dealing with a Technomancer, those computers are the source of his power! Pull the plug! If that doesn't work, destroy them!"

Your Joes quickly comply, pulling the server racks away from the wall and reaching for the power cables. They yank the cords out of their sockets, yet the fight upstairs rages on, the only change being a flicker in the house's lighting which alerts the mage to the fact that someone's messing with stuff in the basement. He suddenly teleports downstairs using a portal, both hands holding spells ready to let fly. Thinking fast, Donald makes use of his immensely quick motor system to punch the server racks with all his might, smashing half of them to pieces.
Target is now running on internal power
The mage's eyes go wide as the spells in his hands dim slightly. He still manages to get them off, but both of the robots he hits manage to barely stay up, even if they do start to sway dangerously. Jackie, the only one not hit opens up on full auto with his laser to stun, and backs the target into a corner while waiting for their luck shield to run out of power.

Meanwhile upstairs, a pair of Joes who've yet to really come into their own as people manage to track down the other 3 people in the house and get them to come relatively quietly for questioning. Two minutes after this the mage goes down twitching as his luck literally runs out, and is swiftly sedated and zip-tied before being readied for beam-out.

OPERATION COMPLETE!
(I'll post total gains and losses along with the votes in the morning)

Actually, we've come to the end of your first in-universe month. Pick a bit of worldbuilding material before we get onto Strategic Turn 5.
[] The Masquerade's ultimate fate
[] Some known Savants
[] The 'machine soul' debate
[] A historical timeline of magic
[] Sybille's book of standard spells Vol. 1

Both will live... but something's changed about Anne on a fundamental level and both have heavy brain damage, Anne much more so.
Well, here's hoping this is just means they became mages, and the damage is madness that we can just drain away. Or fix with our SCIENCE! Otherwise, shit, our first sorta-casualties (Otto doesn't count).

Now, for the world building... I don't know. Will this be something we In Character will know?

Yeah, this is something your intelligence department and think tank managed to dig up or predict.

Ah. In which case,
[] The Masquerade's ultimate fate
I honestly don't know if this would be useful at all. I mean, what does it even mean? Whether teh Masquerade will remain up forever or not? Cause that doesn't seem like something they could really predict well, especially since we got every means of knocking it down before long.
[] Some known Savants
This could be really useful. It'd be a gamble in trying to recruit any of them, but just knowing of them can be useful for later maneuvers.
[] The 'machine soul' debate
Sounds really philosophical, and while might be interesting to read (especially if it's between mages who know that machines can produce madness), doesn't seem like it could be that useful.
[] A historical timeline of magic
Sounds neat and useful, but since we only got one choice, not something we wana pick mostly because it is of limited use, and we can probably get something similar from other sources.
[] Sybille's book of standard spells Vol. 1
I don't see the point to this, usefullness wise. Just knowing the spells exist, we got from Gio (probably had him write up a report on various spells we are likely to encounter). Learning them, we can pick from other people's minds (Sleep Learner ftw).

So I will go with
[X] Some known Savants
