Hmm do you guys have any ideas for Omakes?
Ideas
I feel kinda meh about mentorship from Tsunade tbh. It's been mentioned before, but our styles really don't mesh all that well. Also I have a soft spot for Sakura and would feel bad for sneaking away "her" teacher. One or 2 dots should be enough to get Tsunade to at least consider taking us on. Also I do not expect Tenten to get enough medicine from Omake to heal Lee, but if she has even a bit it increases the chance that if she does Limit break she throws herself into learning medical rather then cutting Lee's limibs off.
Occult training with Sakura. I'm thinking a sleepover [when the stars are right]
I'd rather not have her as a mentor, but maybe as some kind of contact? I just figure interactions will be interesting, one way or another.
More ideas
It's significant. How much medicine are we talking about here? Because "heal Lee" amount sounds like a lot?
Special jounin/jounin ANBU.This is week 3. All our other trainers have offered a limited number of training slots. So it is a good bet that Yuugao represents 4 or at best 8 training slots. Are we happy that we only need 1 or 2 more melee charms before the final?
Don't think we need the Medicine Excellency. We only need 5 success and are allowed retries.
I'm keeping sorcery under wraps for a bit.Or you could buy Occult 3(3XP with Sakura), buy Terrestrial Circle Sorcery(E3,Occult 3, 4-5XP depending), buy Demon Summoning(4-5XP), summon and bind a sesseljae, pay it in alcohol and have it do the job for you.
14XP if Sakura's discount to Occult applies, 14XP if it does not.
Assuming Demon Summoning is a thing in this AU.
The Training slots aren't a measure of how skilled the tutor is, but how much time they can devote to training you.Special jounin/jounin ANBU.
I assume she's on the same order as Gai. Which means ~8 slots or so of training time.
That should be enough for 3-4 Melee charms; more if we supplement with XP.
Ideas
- Kabuto in hiding
- Tenten reading Gai's intent when he yells about YOUTH.
- Training montage with Neji
Fair enough.
I was under the impression that after you changed the strict time slots, it was now an abstraction of how EFFECTIVE their training is, not how much time they have. The Training slots aren't a measure of how skilled the tutor is, but how much time they can devote to training you.
It's the route she wishes she could do, not necessarily the one she should.Fair enough.
Bullshit fuinjutsu remains an option, assuming she wants to invent something.
I begin to suspect that doing it via Medicine is not necessarily Tenten's ideal route.
That...actually works better than how I was modeling it in my head, so let's go with that.I was under the impression that after you changed the strict time slots, it was now an abstraction of how EFFECTIVE their training is, not how much time they have.
Gai can get more done in an hour in his specialty than Sakura can in two in hers.
Which makes sense when you are comparing a senior jounin and a genin.
Ditto with Yuugao, who is of almost as old as Anko, and is adept enough to lead an ANBU squad.
Else there would be no way that even Gai would have the time to expend, given some of the things going on in the village.
Same question for Shukaku fight. Who, I remind people, is made out of sand. How do you cripple sand? The only way I can kinda-sorta see it is partially turning it into glass.
Added to the index, good job! +2 XP to allocate as you wish.Days of Futures Past (The saddest omake)
Most of the time, Tenten managed to avert her eyes when Gai went off on his youthful rants, but this time her eyes were unwillingly drawn to the sparkles and temporarily was blinded with intent.
[YOUTH!!!!!]
She gritted her teeth, but her mind echoed with the feeling for the rest of the day and probably explained what happened later on.
--
Sakura laid down the candles while Tenten eyes them warily.
"I usually never use scented candles." She admitted while Sakura cheerfully lit them.
"They're great! I sleep so well when I use them. Ino and me swear by them! Aromatherapy, Tenten." She babbled on as she then rolled out the futon she was going to sleep in. "Now let me help you with your theoretical work!"
--
Tenten did admit, the candles' scent were relaxing when they finally tucked in for the night and she found herself in a strange house that she didn't recognize the interior in. She playfully started flying around and looking at the pond outside and the tastefully decorated corridors.
Then she stopped at the sight of a familiar bowlcut in a wheelchair. There was Tsunade (!) next to him looking solemn and slightly sad. Nothing like what she imagined when she would first see her.
Hey brain, this isn't funny! She thought as she slowly floated into hearing range.
" ... surgery could give you a few more years, but it's very dangerous. You'll also probably be bedridden for most of it." Tsunade said apologetically. Tenten turned in the air with her heart in her throat to see ... Gai sensei? People often said that Lee and Gai were twins, but they looked very different in terms of faces and being on their team gave her easy ability to distinguish them. What shocked her was the deteriorated state of her teacher. No longer was his physique peak human, but rather much smaller and understated.
"I understand, Tsunade sama. I would prefer to be with my family and friends in good health." He said gently.
[Knows this year is his last.]
"What?!" Tenten blurted out. No one noticed.
Tsunade-sama bowed.
"Konoha thanks you for your sacrifices." She said quietly before leaving.
"Gai-sensei, what happened to you!?" Tenten said, following him as he rolled himself to the pond. "What can I do to stop it?!"
She tried to grab his shoulders, but simply slipped through. He watched the outside, so quiet and still, so unlike himself.
"Please!"
--
She woke up in a cold sweat, eyes wide. Tenten wiped the tears from her eyes with resolve.
That will never happen to another teammate. Never again.
It'd be a nice little adventure in self-discovery and also another part of the continent. We should definitely try and summon without a contract. Nothing can go wrong.
So as soon as we get Stormwind Rider. Got it.It'd be a nice little adventure in self-discovery and also another part of the continent.
Lee's injury is crippling but I don't think it's Crippling as that is defined as being inflicted by a Charm with the Crippling tag. So instead it's almost certainly a Disabling injury:How much medicine are we talking about here? Because "heal Lee" amount sounds like a lot?
since that description seems to fit Lee's condition perfectly. Given Lee didn't die we're looking at a worst case scenario of Difficulty 6 here.Disabling: Most injuries take the form of lacerations, contusions and broken bones, with the occasional burn thrown in for good measure. The normal system of recording injuries models such wounds easily. Yet particular grievous injuries can pulp, mangle or outright amputate tissue in ways that don't allow for re-growth as health levels return. Within play, such crippling can happen as a result of several possible situations. Mortals who suffer 4+ health levels of lethal or aggravated damage from a single injury suffer a disabling wound. This condition should be recorded on the character sheet by drawing a light circle around a number of health boxes equal to the number of damage levels sustained, starting from the topmost. The character heals normally, but the phantom injuries generate wound penalties and restricted movement as if he remained injured. Removing a crippling wound requires agonizing surgery involving an (Intelligence + Medicine) roll with a difficulty based on the number of heal ht levels in the injury. This surgery also inflicts a number of unsoakable levels of lethal damage equal to the levels in the crippling wound, which run the usual risk of infection but can heal normally. When these wounds heal, the handicap is gone.
Perfect! Where can we sign up!It'd be a nice little adventure in self-discovery and also another part of the continent.
We're a ranged specialist. This is perfect.Make a Summoning Contract
Training Resource: [Gai/Alone]
**Note: At this point you only have the means to make a contract with the Turtles. Who you've kinda sorta offended gravely by saying the Slugs are better than them.**
**Note: Trying a summon without a contract is a terrible idea**
It's a Difficulty 7 jutsu, and it functions roughly similarly to Wound-Mending Care Technique.@Crilltic What complexity is the mystic palm jutsu and what are its effects?
Never seen that tag before.Lee's injury is crippling but I don't think it's Crippling as that is defined as being inflicted by a Charm with the Crippling tag. So instead it's almost certainly a Disabling injury:
Still need Flawless Diagnosis Technique(E1,Medicine 1) to avoid fucking up diagnoses. +5XP.Medicine 1 is 4xp and and the 2nd Medicine Excellency is 5xp for a total of 9xp.
You can spend it immediately on an Ability or Attribute or Charm or Jutsu of your choice.
Never seen that tag before.
*checks*
Huh, you may be right.
Still need Flawless Diagnosis Technique(E1,Medicine 1) to avoid fucking up diagnoses. +5XP.
Throw in Mystic Palm Technique to heal HLs.
Instant Treatment Methodology would help, but isn't essential.
You can spend it immediately on an Ability or Attribute or Charm or Jutsu of your choice.
You can throw it into the general pool of emergency XP we've been saving, which is currently at 9XP.
You could hold onto it personally until you see something you want to spend it on.
Your choice really.
Do you have a preference for expenditure?
