I think it's more the issue that doing so means Ireland will fundamentally not get the depth of content to accurately model its history and the culture at play in the period.

What Vylinius said. Ireland should be getting extra mechanics and flavour, but instead it's just bland bland flavourland.

And this is where the cracks and downvotes started showing up. The Feudal contract stuff was revealed to be very barebones, no ERE government form, and the dumbing down of law names are what people are upset about.

It's a Paradox game. It'll be at least two years of DLC and patches for the game to be anything other than barebones and dumbed down. HOI4 is only now becoming a complete game with many features still basically missing. Stellaris and EU4 are still getting massive content updates and Rome is barely out of beta.
