[X][Kira] She refuses to let Kira massage. If Kira is insistent on rewarding Luka for her help, Luka requests that she be allowed to help Kira find another way to thank Luka at a later point as a means of helping Kira expand her skill set.

Azure Tiger: Arrival at Lantillies
[X] [Kira] She lets Kira give her a massage. It can't hurt, you got the time and seems to be important to Kira if she is this insistent.
[X] [EXP] Upgrade the Trait Force Sense.

"I'm still concerned you aren't doing this in the right state of mind, but okay, I will let you give me a massage," you say, unsure of whether or not this is the right decision, but going along with it anyway since Kira clearly wants this even if you are concerned about why she wants this."

"Thank you," says Kira, "I can promise you that you will enjoy this. Now, just...ah, you're wearing armour."

"I take it that is going to be an issue?" you inquire.

"Ah, yes, it will be," answers Kira before hesitating, "Um, would you mind taking it off?"

"I've grown up around soldiers and with my fellow Initiates," you say with a smile, "I have no problem being in my underwear around those I can trust and you fall into that group."

"Even though we only known each for less than a day?" inquires Kira.

"I have the advantages of being a Jedi when it comes to figuring people out, but you have proven yourself trustworthy to me," you answer as you begin to take your armoured-jacket it off, "What else do you need me to do?"

"Just lie down face first on the bed once you are undressed and let me do my work," says Kira and you can hear the excitement in her voice.

You get changed out of your combat suit, letting Kira put the various parts of your armour to one side as you do so. Once you have stripped down sufficiently, you do as Kira asked and lie facedown on the large silky bed of the Azure Tiger's captain. You take a moment to feel the silky bedsheet with one of your hands, but then you feel Kira's hands on your back.

It feels extremely pleasant to have Kira push and rub your back, downright relaxing akin to the point that you would compare to a good bout of mediation if it wasn't so enjoyable. As it is, Kira is as good as she claimed and you cannot help, but let out a sigh as you just enjoy her hands upon your back. The Togruta soon moves on, going further down to the lower back, then your butt, then your legs and then your feet. Arms and hands come back and then she tops it off by going to your neck.

You vaguely hear Kira say something once she is done, but by that point, you are too relaxed and sleepy to pay proper attention to the words. Were you really that stressed or something along those lines? Maybe she is supposed to be a part of the massage. Something to ask Kira later when you feel like being more active. You feel someone lifting and moving you, but it is Kira and you sense only amusement and pride from her so let her do what she wants.

And apparently what she wants is to tug you into bed. You guess it has been long enough from when you last slept...

***

"Wakey-wakey," says Kira as the Togruta woman shakes you awake, "We're on approach to Lantillies now so you got to get up and dressed."

"Huh," you mutter before yawning.

"Your mum's message worked so there wasn't any problems," continues Kira as she begins to pull you out of bed, "They were expecting us and already had a landing pad ready. Apparently one of the local big names found out about this and threw his weight behind it. Not sure why, but if it helps, it helps."

"Wait, what is going on?" you ask sleepily as you shake off Kira to claim out of bed on your own.

"You need to get clean in the 'fresher before getting dressed," says Kira as she points to a small room off to the side of the bedroom, "We got half an hour before we land and since you are going to be meeting important people, you need to look your best."

"Right, refresher," you say as you stride over to the room.

You close the door behind you before slipping off your underwear and climb into the sonic shower. It only takes you a couple of moments to set it somewhere close to your preferred settings and you settle down to enjoy the relaxing vibrations to rid your body of dirt, grime and sweat in a quick efficient manner. It has nothing on Kira's massage skills, but it is a pleasant sensation nonetheless. After a few minutes, you exit the shower and idly not that you didn't bring any clothing with you except for what you were wearing. Annoying, but it will have to do.

"Hey Luka, I've got some clothes ready for you," calls Kira from the other side of the door.

"What clothes?" you ask, "I didn't bring any with me."

"The captain was either a human female or had one regularly onboard," replies the Togruta, "We got a bunch of clothing that fits you and is more appropriate for a formal meeting than your combat suit."

"Do you have underwear?" you inquire.

"Maybe?" replies Kira and you can hear the shrug in her voice, "I hadn't been able to get a good feel that particular set of measures yet."

"Yet?" you repeat.

"Ah, I mean, look, just open the door a bit so I can hand the clothing over to you," says Kira.

You do that, partially opening the refresher door enough that Kira is able to pass a bundle of clothing to you. The black underwear feels a little tight, but not enough to cause you discomfort and given how nice they feel, you prefer this clearly high-quality set to your own underwear even if it wasn't cleaner. Your feelings on the dress are more mixed. An expensive velvet piece, it doesn't cover enough in your opinion. No sleeves and only going halfway down your thighs, the worst part of it is the cleavage window. Why would anyone want to wear something with that? Okay, you know why, but you aren't fond of it. At least you got some other bits of clothing. The long fingerless black gloves aren't to your tastes, but they help cover up your arms while the snug leggings technically cover your legs, but given how tight they are, you wouldn't call them concealing.

"Is this the best you could find?" you say to Kira as you inspect yourself in the mirror.

"Do you want me to find you something else?" inquires Kira.

"No, no, I can deal with this," you reply, "This is good for formal events, but it isn't exactly to my tastes. I can put up with it, but next time I get my hands on some credits, I will need to buy a formal dress or something that suits me."

"Anyway, I couldn't find some shoes that in your size so you will need to wear your own," says Kira, "That won't be a problem?"

"No, it won't be," you reply as you pick up your underwear and exit the refresher, "Where did you put my stuff?"

***

"An Admiral and a Councillor," says Kira as she stands slightly behind you, just off to the side, "How should I deal with this?"

"Follow my lead," you reply as the two of you approach the exit-entry ramp of the Azure Tiger, "Admiral Tonn both works for Dad and is one of his supporters, hence why he got an assignment like Lantillies. I can expect him to be in my camp because we are both in Dad's camp. He will be supportive and cut me some slack between my inexperience and my parentage."

"And what about the Councillor?" asks Kira, "What is a Councillor anyway?"

"It varies, but in this case, Danielle Bovwen is a member of the Lantillies Planetary Council," you explain, "There are twenty of them in total and all are democratically elected by the people of Lantillies. Five years per a term with a limit of three terms. Councillor Bovwen isn't someone I knew personally, but I read a few HoloNet articles on approach and she seems alright. Ambitious woman, but one who does actually cares and while she seeks power, it is for a purpose rather than for its own sake."

"So does she actually want to help us or is this a political stunt?" inquires Kira as the two of you begin to walk down the ramp.

"Both," you answer as you come into sight of the welcome party.

The two most important figures are obvious. Admiral Markoth Tonn is a male Nikto standing tall and proud in the mostly black uniform of a naval officer. Next to him is a human woman in a somewhat conversative dress-suit, about average height with the general prettiness of the upper class of the galactic in her face, pale green eyes and wavy red hair. You recognise Admiral Tonn by sight and the other individual can only be Councillor Bovwen.

Alongside them is an honour guard of Republic soldiers with a few private bodyguards mixed in and strongly suspect that the latter belong to Councillor Bovwen. No press or other media and you are glad for that. You don't particularly feel like dealing with the press for the first time right now, especially not without Mum or Dad. Frankly, having Councillor Bovwen show up is enough politics and presentation for you to worry about.

"Padawan Luka Shan," says Admiral Tonn as he steps forward to greet you, "It is a pleasure to finally meet you. I've heard good things about you from your parents."

"Likewise Admiral," you reply, inclining your head towards him, "Dad has plenty of things to say about you, all positive."

"I'm glad to hear that Supreme Commander thinks well of me," says Admiral Tonn, "According to Master Shan, you have several hundred newly free slaves for me to handle?"

"We haven't done an exact head count, but it is somewhere between seven hundred and eight hundred," you answer, "You've got procedures in place?"

"Of course," replies Admiral Tonn, "The Supreme Commander has made it something of a hobby to put a dent in the slave trade and as a result, the Republic has become quite familiar in helping former slaves adjust to a life of freedom."

"Then I shall leave you to it," you tell him before glancing over at Councillor Bovwen, "I was informed that the Councillor wished to meet with me, hence my current attire?"

"That is correct," says Councillor Bovwen as the woman steps up to she is once again standing next to Admiral Tonn, "When I heard about so many people needing help with something as horrible as slavery, I just couldn't ignore their plight. While it has been on short notice with less than a day, I've been able to arrange something of an impromptu fund-raising party in a couple days' time. I was hoping that as one of the individuals involving in rescuing all of these people and as a rising star from a prestigious family, I might be able to persuade you to attend. Your presence would certainly draw more attention to it and therefore increase how many funds we will raise for these people."

On the one hand, that sounds like a good idea. Even if you are certain that Bovwen and the other elites will benefit from it, it cannot be denied that getting the rich to donate some of their wealth to helping the former slaves is undeniably a good thing.

On the other hand, Mum is still waiting for you back at Nar Shaddaa and Darth Malice almost certainly still running about. That said, Mum certainly doesn't need your help even if she didn't have Knight Vokru as backup.

How does Luka respond?
[] [Path] Luka agrees to attend the party and delays her return to Nar Shaddaa.
[] [Path] Luka declines on the grounds that she needs to return to Bastila on Nar Shaddaa.

What loot does Luka take from the Azure Tiger?
[] [Loot] 2,000 Credits.
[] [Loot] A pack of five Echani Energy Shields.
[] [Loot] A bundle of eight Plasma Grenades.
[] [Loot] A box of luxury portable rations.

Now you are arrived at Lantillies and met two of the local bigwigs. I've decided to give you some loot from the Azure Tiger, but the main choice is what path you choose. This is something of a meta-choice where you either decide that you want to go some stuff on Lantillies or you want go back to Nar Shaddaa to deal with the adventures there.

By the way, the outfit that Kira found for Luka is based off of this: vanessa the twi'lek by nightwing1975 on DeviantArt.

Please point out any spelling or grammar mistakes that you spot. Please quote them in the thread and explain what you think is wrong so I know what you are referring to. Feel to ask questions for more details and information.

I'll be honest, I want to go have some lightsaber fights, but I could probably be persuaded either way.

Edited my vote, partly to be contrary and partly because as the daughter of the Republic's Supreme Commander and the founder of a breakaway Order showing the flag and building relations is not only better for the former slaves but the Republic and the Revanchists. Luka is going to be under increased scrutiny her entire life so she'd better get used to it.

You have the procedures in place? this sounds much more formal.

Mom would not be happy we didn't rescue her because we are too busy at a party. Shields are only useful if we get hit, since we have Force Sense and Jedi instincts they are basically rarely gonna be used. Much better to take the grenades that can be used to solve a lot of problems.

I do not play politics and hate parties, so I'm going with this:

[X] [Path] Luka declines on the grounds that she needs to return to Bastila on Nar Shaddaa.
[X] [Loot] A pack of five Echani Energy Shields.

Current bandwagon all the way.

[X] [Path] Luka declines on the grounds that she needs to return to Bastila on Nar Shaddaa.

As one wise man once said: "Oh no, I'm not brave enough for politics"

[X] [Loot] 2,000 Credits.

You'll see, the power of money is unrivaled!

Mom would not be happy we didn't rescue her because we are too busy at a party.

First, Bastila doesn't need rescuing as far as Luka knows and it is quite the assumption to think that she would. Secondly, this choice is less about in-universe consequences and more about the players choosing which planet they want their adventures on.

I know, but we all have seen action adventure show tropes where the protagonist have to rescue their friends, I was mainly referencing that trope as a joke. BTW, couldn't we just send Bastila an email about this and ask for her opinion?

"Unfortunately Councillor Bovwen, I will not be able to attend," you inform the woman, "I am needed back on Nar Shaddaa to aid my master's hunt for Darth Malice."

"The rumours of a Sith on Nar Shaddaa are true?" asks Admiral Tonn sharply.

"As far as we can tell, they are," you answer, "We know that the Exchange have been doing business with someone calling themselves Darth Malice on Nar Shaddaa and there is a high probability that this Darth Malice was involved with this slaver ship."

You don't know that for certain but given that Knight Vokru's investigation of Darth Malice led him to the Azure Tiger, you feel okay making that claim.

"It is unfortunate that you cannot come, but if there is a Sith running about..." starts Councillor Bovwen before trailing off, "I understand Padawan Shan. I would not expect a Jedi to shy away from their duty."

"Thank you for being so understanding Councillor Bovwen," you reply before turning to Admiral Tonn, "Admiral Tonn, I would like request usage of Republic communications to contact my master."

"Of course Padawan Shan," replies Admiral Tonn, the Niko giving you a slight smile, "I would also like to inform you that a messenger on the behalf of the Supreme Commander has arrived here on Lantillies and would like to speak you at your soonest convenience."

"In that case, you may take me to them now," you tell him.

***

"Auntie Mission!" you exclaim as you spot the beautiful blue-skinned Twi'lek standing next to a ship that looks similar to the Ebon Hawk.

"Little Luka," replies Aunt Mission as your honorary aunt gives you a wide smile and opens up her arms for a hug, "Come here kiddo!"

You embrace her in a hug, ignoring both her crack at your age and the watching eyes of Kira and Admiral Tonn. You enjoy the company of Aunt Mission and even if you don't share blood, she is family as far as you are concerned. Plus you think she might legal be family if those rumours of Dad adopting her are true.

"I'm glad to see you and while I do want to catch-up, I should ask you about what Dad sent you here for," you say as the two of you gently release each other, "Not that I am unhappy about it by any means, but I'm surprised to see you here in person."

"I don't normally do things in person these days, perks of being a CEO and all that," replies Aunt Mission, giving you a grin, "But for jobs like this, I make an exception. You see this tub here?"

"Looks like the Ebon Hawk, but not," you answer as you look over Aunt Mission's shoulder at the starship behind her, "Another Dynamic-class then?"

"Yup," confirms Aunt Mission, "The Red Banner. Your old man decided to shell out for one that you and Bastila to use. Technically in your name, but since you aren't eighteen yet, Bastila is going to be taking care of the ship for you until then and probably until you finished your apprenticeship as well. Padawanship? Anyway, welcome to your new ride and probably home. I bet you had this before going to Nar Shaddaa."

"Maybe, but then we wouldn't have found the holocron," you reply.

"Holocron?" repeats Aunt Mission as she gives you a curious look, "Now that sounds like a story."

"Not much of one," you answer, "I found two guys to be suspicious so Mum and I checked out their room. We found a Sith holocron in it and stole from them. They turned out to be Exchange thugs delivering it to Darth Malice on Nar Shaddaa."

"Sounds interesting," says Aunt Mission before looking over at your watchers though when you look over, you see that it is now just watcher as Admiral Tonn left at some point, "Who's your pal?"

"That's Kira," you tell Aunt Mission as the Togruta gives a hesitant wave to the Twi'lek, "We met...I think it would be yesterday now. She noticed I was a Jedi and enlisted my aid in freeing several hundred slaves. Bring those slaves to freedom here on Lantillies is actually why I am here rather than helping Mum hunt down Darth Malice on Nar Shaddaa."

"Kira huh," says Aunt Mission, "What's she like? Is her personality as nice as her looks?"

"She grown up in slavery until she escaped about her eighteen birthday," you answer, "That was a year ago and she has been a smuggler since then though by her own words, she wasn't a very good one. I haven't had much of a chance to get to know her, but I've enjoyed her company so far and she gives really good massages."

"Former slave turned smuggler," muses Aunt Mission, "I am curious about how you know that last bit about massages kiddo."

"We had some spare time on the journey here and she wanted to repay me," you explain, trying not to feel defensive about it, "She was very insistent and I saw no problem with saying yes."

"You're certainly not like your mother when was your age," says Aunt Mission as she gives you another grin, "You wouldn't believe how far she had a stick rammed up her butt."

"I would like to avoid talking about Mum's butt if possible," you inform your aunt.

"Sure thing kiddo," says Aunt Mission, "Talking about Bastila's butt isn't the same without her around to get flustered over it. Would you mind if I took some time to speak with your new friend over there? In private that is. Just some nonhuman criminal lady to nonhuman criminal lady talk."

"Neither of you are exactly criminals," you point out with a frown, "Not by any reasonable standard anyway."

"Sure, but we are both scoundrels and not a proper uptight Jedi like yourself," replies Aunt Mission, but you know her well enough to take her words in good humour rather than offensive.

"Sure, I'll go and check out the ship," you tell her, marching the open ramp of the Red Banner as you leave Aunt Mission to go and speak with Kira.

Growing up around the Ebon Hawk has left you with a basic idea of the Red Banner's internal layout, especially since the modifications of the Ebon Hawk didn't actually alter the internal layout of the ship. That said, the Red Banner lacks the unique touch that you have grown to expect from the Ebon Hawk. None of the personal touches that Dad and past owners have added over the decades.

However, the Red Banner isn't entirely standard as a brief check of the ship's system reveals that Dad has gone to the effort to upgrading the ship before handing it over to you and Mum. While the Dynamic-class lacks one by default, a powerful shield system has been added to the Red Banner, giving ship some substantial protection for its size.

Beyond that, the ship is fully equipped for HoloNet access while the hyperdrive has been upgraded from the Class 3 that comes standard with the Dynamic-class to a military-grade Class 1. Not quite as fast as the Ebon Hawk, but the next best thing. Finally, Dad has upgraded the Red Banner with combat thrusters that grant the freighter the ability to dance like a starfighter, allowing it to engage in dogfighters.

All in all, the Red Banner is no Ebon Hawk, but is a solid ship that is fast, agile and protected with onboard facilities to support a small team of operatives.

And in this update, you get to meet an old KOTOR character and get your new ship. For those wondering, Mission is currently 35 and CEO of a thriving shipping business that does a lot of work for the Republic military and the Revanite Jedi thanks to her connection to the leader of both organisations. The current vote is something of a filler vote as I've got something planned for when you returned to Nar Shaddaa and I don't feel like putting it into this update.

Also Mission won't be coming with Luka and Kira. If she was younger, she would be all aboard, but these days she is a CEO of a big business and has other responsibilities to worry about.

Please point out any spelling or grammar mistakes that you spot. Please quote them in the thread and explain what you think is wrong so I know what you are referring to. Feel to ask questions for more details and information.
