The Firestorm: A crossover invasion game. Looking for a 40k faction player.

Drawbacks
-Mere Men: Are armies of Man are made up of exactly that. Men. Normal folk who fight daily against monstrous xenos, terrifying demons, and even worse. For many it is a terrible and scarring experience, and those of a weaker sort fair even worse. (Chaff and Infantry forces more likely to suffer morale loss and break.)

I'm sure you could spiffy it up a bit, but here's something somewhat prominent in the Imperial Guard. I mean, there's a reason Commissars exist after all.

A fine suggestion! I think I will use this, actually.

Note to self: Bring Commissars

Finished working out most of my traits and drawbacks. Thoughts?
I'd suggest taking a look at mine, but the IoM is vast, so it's also entirely reasonable for us to have different traits.

Heresy From Idleness seems to parallel my own Apocalypse Proof. Faith is your shield is basically an offensive version of Eagle and the Cog, which is a defensive trait. And Big Guns Never Tire does for tanks and arty what Stompy Robots does for Knights and Titans.

I combined most of Fear the Alien and Revere the Omnissiah into *BLAM*
TITANS FOR EVERYONE!
Oy! That's my shtick! Your shtick is TANKS FOR EVERYONE!

If you're going Guard, I'd recommend at least tripling up on the number of War Beasts by dumping the Great War Engines and Airships, but that's just me.

I wonder how they will look after the Nightmare gets a hold of them.
Keep in mind that one of the advantages of low tech factions is that they get an advantage to faith.

It's entirely possible that by the time you meet them your dragons of the nightmare will have as much to worry from them purifying parts of the nightmare as they would from your corruption.

Yeah, and in terms of Faith...

Baby Melon died for the sins of all Watermelon Stevens.

Hey, now! Malachite could not only destroy the village and kill everyone in it easily, but also sacrificing individual Watermelon Stevens worked!

Also, since this post-Malachite, I think we could potentially fight back.
Possibly although being the Burning Legion i'd practice my manipulative bastard skills on you if I ever found out about the Stevens.

Something in a weird thread about weird people.

Don't question any futher.

he's suspended for one day.

So all of us are the ones with long-range radio right now. Ought we to handle this with oodles and oodles of separate PMs, or organize something else?
You including just radio-using factions in or near the Teraga Clusterfuck, or radio-using factions in general?

Because the Cabal have been blasting radio messages indiscriminately into space to try and contact their empire since they landed.
