The Firestorm: A crossover invasion game. Looking for a 40k faction player.

I'll be off seeing Batman vs Superman so responses and sheet checks shall start either late at night (for me) today or tomorrow.

So looking at the area of France vs the area of countries that make up the Intermarium I can fit Poland, Czechoslovakia, Lithuania, Hungary, Silesia, East Prussa, and the western 2 oblast of Ukraine into one hex. Silesia and East Prussia being ceded by Germany post 1938-1940 Eastern War. But more on that in my history.

Suffice to say that's a good chunk of my industry that I can fit in there.

So....hypothetically how do you think your forces would fair against the Legion?

The American Unionists will be returning again, I will create a comprehensive unit list later. By updating this post.

In the same vein there are some things magic can do that your technology can't match either like raising the dead, summoning a small army and extracting information from people's souls.

You'll see when I'm able to get home but my nation is very much inspired by pulp magazines of the 30s and 40s. Thus things like ray guns and supersoldiers are things that I have. I'm not entirely sure that you have a counter for SCIENCE!

Summon Electricity Elemental? Summon Meteor? Wall of Force?

All of those seem to work.

Would the Technocratic Union from Mage the Ascension be an acceptable faction? It's going to involve some number fudging given that the nature of the organization doesn't led itself to the organization chart in the OP (MUCH less civilians and infantry, MUCH more elite infantry.)

Actually ray guns and supersoldiers aren't anything new for the Burning Legion, sure the versions they've encountered are partially magic but the same theory applies. On a side note how familiar are you with Warcraft lore?

Well a couple of my heroes know city destroying spells and the less I say about my numbers the better.

Extremely well. There are some things that technology can do that just can't be matched by magic. Supersonic flight for instance.
Faaaaaaaaaaar from it.
Superhumans moving faster than the speed of sound is fairly common in fiction.
Or if you wish to go with particularities of Warcraft. If you think supersonic jets are truly impossible to match:

You heard him.

EDIT: Long story short science and magic are just two sides of the same coin in fiction. With sufficient creativity you can use either to justify whatever you want.

Also who beats whom is kinda pointless here because at least supposedly all of our factions are roughly at the same level. there might be bad chemistry or other issues but otherwise that's kind of a fact.
BTW, the Burning Legion fought sci-fi empires with magic spaceships and such so they are doubly a bad idea to just from the cover alone. If the lore behind of them would be more often employed the Burning Legion would pretty much would be an example of Dungeon Punk.
