Islander Linguistics
Soo [soo]
Verb
1. (Literal) To come or go
2. (Intent) To have a journey

Eih [ē-e]
Past Tense Pronoun
1. (Literal) Indicates multiple persons previously taking an action
2. (Intent) The formal grouping We adding past tense to a phrase, ex. (We came, we saw, we conquered)

Ieh [ī-ā]
Future Tense Pronoun
1. (Literal) Indicates multiple persons who will eventually take an action
2. (Intent) The formal grouping We adding future tense to a phrase, ex. (We will live to fight another day)

The islander language uses modifications of nouns and pronoun structures to determine past, present, and future tense. This stems from the spiritual belief that who a person was is not who the person is today, and that they will also be a different person in the future. It is considered a very serious insult to call someone by the incorrect tense of their name, as it dishonors the person who died, the person you're speaking to, and the person who will come after.

Hei'Wah Hei'Tah'Neih Hei'Uoom.
"All Men are in all ways dying in all times"
-Imperfect translation of an old Islander phrase

Sounds like redemption and forgiveness are popular within Kut society.

I got close! Woo!

So, I know a lot of people were discussing getting aspects of lizards/birds, and with the references made to Pokemon, I thought I would give a picture of a cool lizard bird!

[] Clairvoyance (Unlocked by Mysticism/Genius Loci) (Reveals a map tile up to INFLUENCE+2 away from a shrine): DE 0-2, Max 2 times per turn (based on distance from max influence)
- [X] Mountain Tile to the upper left of our Shrine

This should be free.

I'm not having a good day. I need a nap.

[] Element of Earth: 5 Legend (Unlocks Earth actions) (Unlocked by Death Aspect/Genius Loci)

Edit: let's solve the New Tribe issue first.

While I do like the other traits and saving for the shiny ones, I think grabbing Earth right now will be worth it for several reasons.

First off it became available from our main attributes, our Death Aspect and being a Genius Loci so I believe it will open up a lot of new options and paths, on top of strengthening our main areas. Plus it should help when exploring tiles imo, especially mountain tiles.

Secondly, and most importantly imo, is how it can interact with everything around us. Cremated Ash is mainly formed of minerals like carbon, so our unique dye falls under the Earth Element. How the Earth Element applies to stone and gems should be self evident. Finally, the Earth Element should help us with manipulating soil, allowing us to affect the fruit, regular dye, and incense resources along with opening up the option for improving the Kut's farming.

Thirdly, this will allow us to expand our Slay options with abilities like "Rocks Fall, Everyone Dies", surprise pitfalls, and earthquakes. Think of all the Awe and Fear we can generate with earthquakes. This similarly allows us to expand our Inspire options with stuff like Obelisks and Pyramids.

Fourthly, I believe the Earth Element is necessary for creating Rock Reptiles, Ash Phonixes, Island Turtles, Skeleton Spookies, bone/soil/obsidian manipulation, a Preservation Aspect, Decomposition Aspect, Insects, and Elderly/Old Age stuff.

Finally, given our Special Ash Dye, cremation ritual, and the nearby gem resource, the Earth Element should allow us to create a unique gem resource, something I'd like to call Diamonds of the Dead. This is from how cremated ashes are mainly carbon, which is the basis for the chemical makeup of diamonds. Furthermore, they will range from clear, regular looking diamonds to the rare blue diamonds, the type of diamond the Hope Diamond is. Not only would this create another unique resource, and another source of gems, it can easily fit within our Faith as a showing of someone who achieved Paradise or Enlightenment, or as a trapping for the Souls of our enemies, preventing their reincarnation. Plus, considering our Death and Ash Aspects, forming diamonds from the ashes of the dead should hold Mystical weight.

For once he's right, but I'm worried that as soon as we have a bit more power we're just gonna start killing people... Certainly Omegahugger has stated that to be his intention. Hopefully he continues to be in the minority.

So support for this-

Current DE: 2
DE needed to inspire (Faith gain): 3
Current Gain- 1 (Faith 1)
Death Rites De gain- 1

Next turn with rites:
4 DE- 3 Inspire (1 left over)
Following turn with rites again
3 DE or enough for a second inspire.

Faith by the way will give us additional DE earned a turn letting us do more.

Next time I'll be sure we've the resources to actually do the thing instead of voting for a plan that cannot be done.

Right so things happened in the discord.

There is now interest in having Death + Earth + Decomposition + Insects going into an Aspect fusion of Ants + Wasp + Butterfly to make Stone Butterflies.

Apparently where we live should have Fire Ants, and two species of Butterfly which live symbiotically with Fire Ants. One of those being Metallic Butterflies.

Now, just imagine a cloud of these:

Made of heated Ash and the Hot Black Flame.

I SUPPORT THIS MOTION ENTIRELY!

FREAKING VOLCANO DOOM BUTTERFLIES!

I prefer the wasps that inject lava into people which burns them from the inside, eventually cooling into golems subservient to your will, but you do you.

Well the butterflies of doom can literally give hugs of doom.

Not much better than that.

Also having our crevice full of stone butterflies sounds ominous as fuck. Our level of ominous cannot be discounted since as a Genius Loci for a Giant Volcano, our street cred amongst the other Spirits rides on how ominous we can be.

This is just sense :V
