The Amber Age: Pantheon Edition (Collaborative)

As long as we become a volcano first, the only other thing I'd want would be Life so we can get into reincarnation stuff, then we can make people into lizards or lizards into people and make lizard people.

Just, volcano first, life/reincarnation second, then whatever after is my priority.

We are Death Mountain, a (future) volcano.
God of a firey underworld and Shamans is fine with me. We need no weapons for the elements are ours to command. And Magic don't forget Magic and Rituals. I hope to set up something like the Egyptian Magicans for our priesthood.

I go to one nice dinner and you guys have already generated a staff report.

If you have enough avatar to sire or bear, your character needs to have a sex. This rule gets a bit flimsier at higher tiers, but spirits must be 'fertile', so to speak. They just tend to be a bit more flexible in the cross breeding department.

I tried.

I really did.

I apparently wasn't quick enough on the draw though.

Sorry Pom-Pom.

That... doesn't require us to be female. Even if we want babies, we're a god, we could probably have babies with a rock if we wanted to. The gender of the other party is probably of very little concern. Marriage CERTAINLY doesn't require us to be female.

In the original AA quest it was pretty hands off in what you could have kids with and how exactly it happened. There was indication he'd just pick a women he liked and sleep with her, regardless of her marital status.

Then there was the time he had a kid with a tree. He just kinda flexed at it for a while. The mechanics of having a kid as a spirit have always been kinda weird. Sleep with them or flex at them? Both entirely possible.

Personally I'm against having kids with anything remotely similar to Gilgamesh. Not until he's met the equivalent to Enkidu and calmed the fuck down. Dudes a mess before that. There's an entirely possible way we could make the Enkidu equivalent as a sort of demispirit with the express purpose of being his companion.

It'd save us the trouble of having to even pick a gender and it'd require us to spec into fertility and earth aspects. Win win for me.

Well the whole Gil thing is pretty much a meme far as I can tell since he's far more diplomatic than the golden 3 fifths god.

We can always Inspire Loremaster to get him his Enkidu.

Meme as far as PoM literally calling him diplomatic Gilgamesh and his name meaning Gold Person is a meme.

I've actually asked about this.

As a spirit you can have babies with any animal.

Not plants.

Not fungi.

Not bacteria

Not concepts.

Animals. (including humans)

As A god that loosens up to include "Anything that's alive" and potentially some things that aren't.

i thought he was 2/3's god.

Not sure about 2/3 but yeah. He's got a fair bit of god blood in him. His mother was a god at least, not sure about more of his ancestors.

Well, that's less fun. What about a potential Enkidu? As a death spirit/death god can we grant life to clay and have it seduce Gil for us and have semi divine kids with him? I get that's probably be more a life domain thing, but it's worth asking.

So we could produce offspring with a parasitic roundworm, but not with a venus flytrap for example (at least not for awhile)? That's a little weird, but OK. Actually, since the only requirement IS animal, for absurdity's sake our first child SHOULD be with a parasitic roundworm.

So who Loves modern morality being shoved down in every none-modern setting without fail every time?
We're not doing this. It is true that one must make accommodations for time period, attitude and culture, but one must also consider that ultimately whatever we write is written in the modern world, by people living in the modern world and for people living in the modern world. The second clause of the second rule of Sufficient Velocity is that one should be considerate of how statements can be interpreted by others, and I believe that your statements and behaviour towards your fellow users, and debate opposition has run afoul of this, as rape is a sensitive topic and your response to people raising concerns about it has been most insufficient, mainly tending towards calling people prima donna. In light of your history, I would normally see it prudent to respond with 25 points and a three-day threadban, but I have seen fit to give you a chance and simply apply a staff notice. Have fun and don't burn anything down.

Yeah, you're just being confrontational and salty because I won't let you be a rape apologist. Okay. I'm just gonna let you have this 'win' and be done. Congrats.

Au contraire, I doubt it was @SpeckofStardust's intention to be seen as a rape apologist, I also doubt that they are in all seriousness advocating rape as much as decrying a particular attitude, seeing a preference towards what they prefer as historically accurate. Reading their posts, there is no in-detail explanation of their precise attitude, and while 'confrontational' certainly does serve to describe it, I must express utmost disagreement with the accusation of rape apologia. I feel that this accusation is a bit on the powerful side, but tempers flare and disagreements rise, so while it might be wise to give you the 25 points and three-day threadban that someone with your history of passive-aggression might warrant, I have decided to - in the spirit of fairness - de-escalate this to a simple staff notice. As before, have fun and don't burn anything down.

Stop: I actually forgot to act on this one
i actually forgot to act on this one
We'll just say it was a strategic delay instead.
So, just to check - you're complaining about the current vote not because of anything it does, but because the fact that it is winning might possibly indicate your particular preferences aren't shared by the quest's voters as a whole.

Ok.

@Sivantic, you know full and well that you aren't to abuse the funny rating to mock posts you disagree with, unlike the others I see no reason to de-escalate here and will apply the full 25 points and three-day threadban.

That is all.

Thaaaank you, monsieur mod.

A thought of mine I've been musing on - we're the Genius Locii of a Mountain.

Instead of being some plain old mythological monster, why can't we just be a goddamn giant fortress temple palace? We could have a dungeon.
