The Amber Age: Pantheon Edition (Collaborative)

Okay, there's been a Discord clarification. Clavoiyance needs us to specify what Square we are revealing with the cost based on that, so all plans with that action needs to be updated.

A skipped turn? More like three!

IIRC, the years spent dwelling are Legend Cost - Saved Up Topor.

Ah.... That makes sense. Still, might be a good idea to set up a bit first. How do we generate Legend, again?

People don't seem to understand what I intended. The cost of revealing a tile with clairvoyance is equal to the distance (in tiles) from your shrine's influence radius (currently just the tile itself).

Additionally, the upgrade you get for your shrine is the only upgrade that shrine can get. There is no 'get it later' at that shrine.

[X] Focused Reach (Unlocked by Genius Loci): Your shrine passively counts as having 1 additional influence when determining it's influence range.
[X] Stave off Death at Kut (Unlocked by Settlement DEPENDENCY/Toil Skill) (Increases Kut Growth): Free

Do nothing else besides this, that way we can accumulate DE

Also, people are talking about snakes and shit, but don't forget: Songbirds.

[X] The Ash Pits (Unlocked by Ash Field Tile): Your shrine passively produces a UNIQUE mortal luxury resource every turn.

The rest, I don't really care about.

[X] The Ash Pits (Unlocked by Ash Field Tile): Your shrine passively produces a UNIQUE mortal luxury resource every turn.
[X] Preside over the Death Rites at Kut (Unlocked by Settlement DOGMA/Ritualist Skill) (Generates DE): Free
[X] Clairvoyance (Unlocked by Mysticism/Genius Loci) (Reveals a map tile up to INFLUENCE+2 away from a shrine): DE 2, Max 2 times per turn(based on distance from max influence)

My absolute fave is that you're supposed to be picking a tile for the Clairvoyance. Otherwise I assume it's just magical navel gazing, looking at yourself with your own tile.

Hmm, maybe there's something hidden you can unlock that way. Nevermind!

@Powerofmind
1. for the tile pick for clairvoyance, do we already have that knowledge for the tiles revealed on the map?
2. What is the population of Kut currently for purposes of Burial Grounds

[] The Ash Pits (Unlocked by Ash Field Tile): Your shrine passively produces a UNIQUE mortal luxury resource every turn.

Ash pits, which is to say a source of sacred ink, used for body painting, art, ritual and potentially writing later.
As a spirit of ritual, this is immensely significant, because ceremonial props are a big part of our activities and they're somewhat rare for a new spirit.

[] Focused Reach (Unlocked by Genius Loci): Your shrine passively counts as having 1 additional influence when determining it's influence range.

Range extension. A big boon early on, when our Influence is literally our base tile, but the least important long term.
Theres something to be said for ramp up momentum of course

[] Burial Shrine (Unlocked by Death Aspect): Your shrine accumulates 0.5 DE each turn, increasing by 0.5 for each 5 population in the supporting settlement.

A mid term boon. Its great early on when DE is scarce, but once our economy gets going...well its not a whole lot.

Personally going with a funeral ritual which uses our sacred ash for the process.
Besides I favor cremation and burials would impede that later!

It is really quite cool to be able to see how many people copied my vote specifically. :p

@Powerofmind would you be okay with doing a one time 'choose for the voters' in regards to the Clairvoyance?

Could you also, after the vote, give us examples on how exactly you want the Clairvoyance vote presented in the future?

We are not really sure where exactly to start looking.

Where does it say we'll use the ash in the funeral ritual? I'm not doubting we will, I just believe that won't be its primary purpose. Furthermore, we're already near two luxury resources so a third is a bit overkill imo when we could increase our DE generation instead.

Furthermore, Burial Shrines can still use cremation. In India, there's a practice where cremation is used for all but the most religious souls, who are placed in a Burial Shrine esque temple, and I know of several shrines where cremated ashes are kept.

I also really like Stave to increase our population so we can get more worshippers (and potentially some unique elder units), but, more importantly, to branch into Life more quickly.

Don't really mind ashes as it is a unique resource and I really want my ash-based phoenix, but I believe a increasing population growth will increase our potential activities more quickly.

Sure, I can roll up a 1 of 5 clairvoyance act.

Honestly it's kind of really difficult to pick in-vote without me grid-numbering every tile, which is difficult as the civ editor doesn't have that for whatever reason. The best I can offer is a plan-maker using Pixlr's online editor to put a white blotch on the map and say "I wan dis un"
