I'm assuming this is in good faith, I do agree to an extent creative ideas are not pragmatic. Issue is pragmatism rarely leads to innovation and so while being pragmatic is good for survival long term development is pushed by creativity. I don't see any reason why a Greek Poet is not a good example of someone who can push for the use of oral or written storytelling which would be beneficial in preserving knowledge. Not only that Sappho lived during the Classical Age so her knowledge is a good 2000 years more advanced then the current Bronze Age civilisation which she can apply even if she's not supremely talented in survival, overall a small but notable improvement.
I don't fully understand what you're trying to say, I'm also gonna say that the existence of differing sexualities is likely already present to some degree. So Sappho is bringing nothing new except her talents to the K'tal, which is beneficial. There is literally no negative to introducing a Isekai who

People are affected by the media they consume. Said poetry runs the risk of actually causing Gay people to become a thing right now. Which means they wouldn't have children. Which is very much not conducive to the survival of the human race. That would probably not go over well with people who care about the survival of the human race.
It would honesty be fine when we have a much bigger population and more stable situation. But not right now while we are still small and currently losing people to various different conflicts.

Hmm... well they look like Human's but not exactly and I think their was some fluff that they wore fur.
I'd imagine they've been hunting Magnificent Hoofs as we don't know of any other animal in the area who could be large enough for such use. I am also curious about something, causes these Giant's are coming from the Far East where there are supposedly Mountains and at the same time, implies that some Human's dwell there.
The reason people typically migrate to another region is typically due to a lack of resources, so I imagine the reason they came west is because of that and when Ryuman started burning forests they also seemed to get angry. With their origin's in mind as well as furs, their negative view's of destroy the locality with fire their likely hunter-gatherer's. Possibly like Human's they may be Nomadic and they don't seem outright malicious their more uncaring to Humans.
I don't think they saw us as a threat until Ryuman did the whole burning in flames, Chugara Loen after all despite throwing a rock at them was allowed to leave. I think they're likely similar to Human's in many ways but probably arrogant as the fluff says no Humans has managed to communicate with them. I wonder if that maybe because they have different voice boxes? So speech is impossible? Perhaps, writing could help solve that.

The Former will be overshadowed in Population anyway, this isn't a time of High Education, Eco incentives to have less children, couples or women delaying, Medical Standards needing to be kept up with the rates, or deciding to forgo having children for different factors. Survival of the Species is the prevalent mindset at this moment, more so the fact it isn't them who's the dominant species to relax on.
