Terrene Spire - Gently ended.

[X] Is it normal for hearth coals to be shot out with such force?

[X] "There´s a tutorial? Any chance we could watch it?"
-[X] If yes, watch it.
-[X] If no, ask if Daeva could summarize it for us.
-[X] Ask about MIGHT, SAVVY, GRIT and GRACE
--[X] Ask about new HUD and how to access the quest log.

Uh. What im trying to say is "get on with it" isn't gonna make the story run faster. Sorry. I do what I can because it makes it a better read in the long run...
I think that's an excellent way to do it.

Otherwise it would be a boring rush, and... Well I'm sure that some people like that but I'm here for the story, not the game.

nah I still value input. It's just a ton of "get on with it" is a little, discouraging? I don't know. Sorry. We are still dealing with my dad dying over here and all that...

I must have missed something because I haven't seen any 'get on with it' posts, unless you're referring to the votes, in which case I completely understand.

I don't want to sound rude or mean or anything, but the nature of the quest (you let us pick our own options instead of giving us some) will result in voting bandwagons after every update, whether you've already decided what's going to happen or not. Well, unless you tell us "No need to vote this time!" I guess.
Unless I'm completely wrong, in which case simply ignore me :p

Personally I don't want to rush you. I'd rather encourage you to work at your own pace when you're comfortable. *hugs*

@WhoAmEye
It is not vote bandwagons that discourage, and in hindsight that was a poor choice of words. Any comment at all gives me a spark of joy, even if it's just "bandwagonning". Seriously, No one has done anything wrong. Currently its just tough with all the aftermaths of a death of that significance in the family.

Thank you all again for reading Terrene Spire. I hope, hope HOPE that I have kept up to the standard.

And thank you all again for bearing with me through my angst and worries and horrible situations. You guys are the grand golden standard of fans, thank you.

...Uh, well I guess this needs to be said:

Terrene Spire isn't just made update to update, which, of course doesn't make any sense to say because thats all it is BUT WHAT I MEAN IS, as a coherent story read in a "binge" or longform, even if it seems like we are digressing on the same topic right now a lot, its because its made to be read longform. These last two or three "joke" updates come immediately after a horrifying (or so we think) situation, creating a buffer so that we don't get a sudden informational whiplash ontop of something already negative.

Uh. What im trying to say is "get on with it" isn't gonna make the story run faster. Sorry. I do what I can because it makes it a better read in the long run...
Huh, cool. I never noticed that you were planning it out like that before, but I like that!

Although watching the tutorial is a pretty good idea, I'll throw in a different vote just for variety:
[X] Ask the Daeva how he got such a cool-looking shell. What was it made of?
-[X] Ask the Daeva if he has any items in the immediate area that he thinks would make a good shell for us.

No one has done anything wrong.
*Phew* :V (the capital N drew my eye).

To actually add something to the discussion - having 'filler' updates is more an issue with the format of stories/quests etc with updates. i.e. If you're posting filler, it makes the story better to read later, in one hit. But it makes it less interesting to read as it updates, since you don't have plot progression. Of course, you've got a pretty snappy update rate going, so it's nowhere near the issue it would be in something like most CrW stories, which often have update times of multiple weeks to months.

Okay, here's the current situation:

I am at home with my grieving mother right now. Inbetween taking care of her, i don't have a lot to really do, but I also don't have my work assets to work on terrene spire. Now, I could make a little side game with the art programs at hand and do that for the duration of this if you are interested, and yet its more to give me something to do than anything else...

So, what are your thoughts on that? Make a tiny side story or not?

Never mind.

Eishalon side Story! Pick a non-aggressive eishalon and tell their story.

A tiny side story could be cool. :)

Alright then. I will give you THESE choices:
  • A ghost finds a dusty old heirloom in a dungeon.
  • An Ordgrown hero takes on their first great challenge.
  • A creature of stone finds itself inside a box.
  • A new soldier is lost to the underground.
So, choose what side story you wanna explore!

Never Mind.
