[X] Parts storage May UE 0084
Libra Drydock Interior
You ease the Rose through an enormous set of doors and glance down the hallway. Although everyone's first thought was to check where the Libra had been drydocked, it was clearly visible even from the outside that the under-construction battleship was still berthed, so it's not an immediate concern.
Instead, your group had opted to check on the parts storage where hull plating and weapon components for the Libra were being kept.
"Any of you guys see anything?" You ask.
"Nope, whole lot of nothing so far. Which is weird, because according to a schedule I saw in one of the corridors, everyone should be in the middle of a work shift right now." Duo says.
A flash of light down the corridor gets your attention, and you all jet forward to investigate, Duo engaging the Deathscythe's stealth systems.
You swing into the entrance to the parts storage bay to see a group of Serpents with unfamiliar markings firing at a group of Leos and GM IIIs, which have taken cover behind a stack of cargo containers while a pair of Leos return fire at the Serpents.
Two of the Serpents turn toward you and immediately open fire.
You curse and jet out of the way, Lucia's manipulations of the Rose's thrusters allowing you to avoid the entire salvo of bullets the Serpents throw your way.
"Serpents, unknown affiliation, hostile!" You call out.
You fire the Dark Lance at the closest Serpent while your own group's Serpents and Jegans round the corner and start firing at the enemy.
A second later, the Gundam Epyon surges forward into the storage bay, beam saber and heat rod flashing and Serpents coming apart at the seams. A trio of Serpents attempt to make a break for it, only for two of them to immediately be decapitated by a beam scythe that seems to appear out of nowhere as the Gundam Deathscythe exits stealth. The last Serpent is gunned down by the Leos and GM IIIs of what you now realize are the drydock's security force.
"Thanks for the save guys, they had us on the ropes before you came in." One of the Leo pilots says gratefully.
"Lieutenant Ayana, Solar Vanguard, what happened here?" You ask.
"It all started when we received an unscheduled shipment for the Libra's construction. While we were trying to verify it, the ship docked without authorization and unloaded a lot of Serpents. They took over the drydock before we realized what was happening." A GM III pilot explains.
"Are they after the Libra?" You ask.
The GM III pilot scoffs.
"They'd have to hold the place for at least another month and force the workers to finish the hull's superstructure. The Libra can technically move since the engines were one of the first things installed, but going at any speed faster than 'glacially slow' would cause the entire thing to tear itself apart. We think they're after parts and weapons. For starters, we saw some of the Serpents run off with the pieces for one of the prototypes for the Libra's main cannon." He says.
"The armory!" You realize out loud.
"Have they installed any of the Libra's weapons yet?" Duo asks.
"No, but all of the big beam cannons are already fully assembled. There's no way they'd be able to move even one of them with what they have, even if they devoted every remaining Serpent they have to the task." A dockworker says as he and his coworkers emerge from hiding.
"Wait...I recognize the symbol on these Serpents. That's the insignia for the Barton Foundation." Zechs says.
"Barton? Like Trowa Barton?" Lucia asks with a raised eyebrow.
"No relation to the Trowa Barton we know, as far as I can tell. Although this is troubling..." Zechs trails off.
"What's the call?" Duo asks as the Deathscythe surveys the corridor. TACTICAL SUMMARY
Serpents from the Barton Foundation have invaded Libra's drydock
Their primary objective seems to be to steal parts and advanced technology for an unknown purpose
You have managed to rescue the majority of the drydock's security forces
There is heavy fighting around the armory and mobile suit hangars
The armory is storing numerous weapons meant to be installed in the Libra. Although the fully assembled items are too large to effectively abscond with using only Serpents, some of the smaller unfinished items could be easily taken away in pieces...
The mobile suit hangars are storing numerous Taurus and Virgo mobile dolls that were meant to be part of the Libra's mobile weapons complement
The Libra's berth appears to be undisturbed
Available forces in the interior:
The Rose
Gundam Deathscythe
Gundam Epyon
Jegan x5
Serpent x3
Leo x8
GM III x6
Available forces outside the drydock:
Wing Zero
Gundam Sandrock
Altron Gundam
Noin's Razangriff Raven
Hilde's Randgrith Raven
Jegan x15
Stark Jegan x8
Serpent x7 Ra Cailum
What do you do next?
[ ] Secure, Contain, Protect
-Send the Rose and Epyon to secure the mobile suit hangars while the Deathscythe and the rest of the security forces retake the armory. The Sandrock, Heavyarms, and Altron will move on the Libra's berth to make sure nothing is happening there, and everyone else outside will assume overwatch and try to make sure nothing escapes.
[ ] Get the hell out of my armory!
-Send everyone inside to retake the armory, reinforcing them with the Sandrock, Heavyarms, and Altron Gundams.
[ ] Hanging high
-Send everyone inside to retake the mobile suit hangars, reinforcing them with the Sandrock, Heavyarms, and Altron Gundams
[ ] Write-in
-Specify who will go where (armory, mobile suit hangars, Libra berth) from available forces. Anyone coming in from the outside will take time to get to their destination. A/N: The update, with some very blatant foreshadowing in the threadmark title. Also spot the the Halo 2 reference! Please vote, discuss, and critique.
We need to seize the hangars. The mobile dolls inside there can easily be turned on us by the Barton Foundation so it's best we secure the hangars and instead try and use them to help repel Barton's men.

Made my own plan here. Opinions are welcome. Not sure if I should try and send units to Libra's berth as well, just to make sure the enemy doesn't abscond with it.

He's right guys we might want to concentrate everyone but we need some people to watch the Shipberths to make sure the thieves don't have a way to escape with anything they can carry.
I really feel like focusing on just the armory isn't a wise decision, considering that the hangars hold something that could swing the the current operation in either direction depnding on who secures it first (the Mobile Dolls) and, since there is still fighting around both the armory and the hangars, the security force is still active, meaning we don't need to overfocus on just one area to secure said area. Vote for Secure the Important Areas, make sure that the invaders can't turn the Mobile Dolls on us or try to do something with the berth.

An pair of enemy Serpents explodes as the Heavyarms hoses the corridor leading to the armory with bullets. A third Serpent tries to retreat further into the armory, only to be bisected by the Deathscythe.
You slam a Serpent into the wall with the Rose's Energy Whip while the other mobile suits that came with your group suppress the remaining enemy Serpents.
"Abandon your mobile suits now and surrender, and we might show you some leniency!" You yell over an open comm frequency as you sidestep a salvo of missiles from an enemy Serpent with Lucia's assistance.
A klaxon suddenly blaring distracts you for a second before you turn your attention back to the battle and kick an enemy Serpent into the wall.
"What's klaxon mean?" You ask.
"That only goes off in this section of the drydock if the bay doors leading from the armory to the work areas are opening...they're trying to get away with what they can! They can go outside from there!" A Leo pilot realizes.
"PUSH!" You yell over the squad freq urgently, drawing the Crystal Sword and charging forward.
Trowa responds by firing all of the Heavyarm's weapons into the open doors of the armory, Duo immediately jetting in before the last of the bullets and missiles hit their targets. You are Quatre Raberba Winner, and you're grateful that the Gundam Scientists retrofitted the Sandrock for space combat when everyone's machines had been put in for upgrades.
As you cut the arms off of a Serpent, Wufei impales another on the Altron's beam trident, and the Epyon is a blur of motion as it systematically dismembers or cores enemy mobile suits with its beam saber and heat rod. One of the Stark Jegans fires a round from its bazooka into a pair of Serpents emerging from the mobile suit hangars, the round detonating before impact and showering them in a hail of shrapnel.
Your group charges into the mobile suit hangars only to immediately be forced to take cover as a hail of beam rounds lance forward to meet you.
"They've hijacked some of the mobile dolls! Where's the control room?!" A Jegan pilot says as he fires back with his beam rifle.
"Over there!" A GM III pilot indicates a lit window on the far side of the hangar.
"Suppressing fire!" One of the Stark Jegan pilots calls out.
You take out a beam SMG while Wufei makes do with the Altron's head mounted vulcans and contribute to the barrage of suppressing fire, allowing a Stark Jegan to fire one of its anti-ship missiles at the control room on the other side of the hangar.
You zoom in and see five figures in the control room move frantically right before the missile impacts, demolishing the control room. However, the Taurus mobile dolls haven't stopped firing on you.
"Damn it, they must have slaved the remote control to some kind of portable command module!" A Leo pilot laments.
You, Wufei, and Zechs charge at the remaining Taurus mobile dolls and Serpents in the hangar bay. Outside the drydock

You are Heero Yuy, and as you and the others outside keep watch, you see a set of bay doors opening.
"Lieutenant Ayana, Colonel Merquise, bay doors are opening, is that you?" You ask.
"Negative! They're trying to get away with what they've gotten their hands on so far! Stop them!" Mira yells.
As the bay doors fully open, a small horde of Serpents spill out, some small groups carrying cargo containers that have been daisy-chained to them, others hauling larger containers in groups of four or six, and numerous Taurus and Virgo mobile dolls accompanying them.
You ready the Twin Buster Rifle and aim it at one of the largest cargo containers.
"Target locked. Firing." You announce.
An enormous yellow beam erupts from the Twin Buster Rifle, striking the cargo container and absolutely destroying whatever was inside it along with the Serpents that had been hauling it. The group immediately scatters, the mobile dolls oddly not charging at you but following the Serpents carrying cargo. You fire on a cargo daisy-chain while the others and the Ra Cailum fire at anything in range, enemy mobile suits and stolen cargo exploding in the void.
Noin is the last to score a kill before the intruders from the Barton Foundation get out of range, a salvo of missiles from the Razangriff Raven's Phalanx launcher obliterating a pair of Serpents that had been hauling a daisy-chain of containers, the cargo itself unharmed and now drifting through space.
After Bright Noa announces the all clear, you all get to work securing the drydock and working with the installation's security and workers to get an inventory of what was stolen, and what you all managed to destroy before they got away with the rest. RESULTS
An inventory of the armory has revealed that the Barton Foundation managed to get away with enough parts to make two beam cannons that were originally meant to be secondary anti-ship armaments for the Libra
An inventory of the mobile suit hangars has revealed that the Barton Foundation managed to steal 6 squads of Taurus mobile dolls and 3 squads of Virgo mobile dolls-the quick destruction of the hangar's control room prevented them from activating and making off with any more than that
Hilde reports that a trio of Serpents attempted to board the incomplete Libra, but were immediately dissuaded by the group that had been sent in to monitor the berth-it is speculated that they had been attempting to study either the Libra's fire control software for its main cannon, or its mobile doll control center
Three parts worth of beam cannons and 8 squads of mobile dolls (Six Taurus, two Virgo) were destroyed while the Barton Foundation made its escape
Interrogation of captured Barton Foundation prisoners has revealed that the stolen materials were meant for an armed battle station Dekim Barton was constructing in secret: Barge
Due to interference the following maluses will now affect Barge:
Less secondary armament aside from its main cannon
Less efficient control over the stolen mobile dolls
Barge will now be less heavily armored due to parts storage being the first facility investigated The Florida Keys
Lord Djibril is not having a good day.
Although the terrestrial war against the Coordinators had been progressing swimmingly ever since Blue Cosmos had managed to retake Victoria Base along with its mass driver, the news of Britannia's surrender to the Earth Federation had come as a major blow, as it now meant Blue Cosmos was still fighting a two front war, but now both fronts were united against them.
This unwelcome news had been punctuated by a missile strike on his secret manor in the Florida Keys. How the enemies of Blue Cosmos had found out Djibril couldn't even begin to fathom, but given that its primary defense had been secrecy and concealment, he'd had no choice but to discreetly flee in a gambling boat owned as a front for Blue Cosmos.
Unfortunately, they seemed to know about that to, since it had not been 15 minutes after the boat had pulled out of the marina that the waters were swarmed with ECOAs mobile suits, quickly overwhelming the eight Strike Daggers that had been seeded throughout the harbor as emergency defense.
As the crew of the gambling boat lower a speedboat into the water with Lord Djibril aboard it, he turns to look out at the water and realizes he's doomed: an ECOAS Jegan is manning a mega bazooka launcher that had been concealed up until that point on a nearby island, and it's pointed directly at him.
Before Djibril can even consider diving into the water for safety, the mega bazooka launcher fires, and Djibril doesn't even have the time to vainly raise his hands in front of his face before he and half the gambling boat he'd been fleeing on are atomized.
"Nice shot Conroy!" Daguza compliments his second-in-command.
"I aim to please, sir." Conroy deadpans as his Jegan salutes Daguza's Lotto.
ECOAS withdraws swiftly after that, the burning remnants of Djibril's gambling boat sinking into the water as the Coast Guard moves in. Mendel Colony harbor, aboard the Eternal
You are Mira Ayana, and you aimlessly wander the halls of the Eternal in microgravity, further relearning old navigational habits you picked up throughout the Gryps Conflict and Neo Zeon Wars.
You put one of of those old tricks to good use as you narrowly avoid colliding with Athrun Zala as he comes around a corner.
"Sorry about that." You apologize as you reorient yourself relative to the ship's floor.
"It's no problem." Athrun says as he grabs your wrist to give you an anchor to steady yourself with.
"You look like you have something on your mind." You say after getting your feet back on the floor.
Athrun gives a bitter chuckle.
"That obvious, huh?" He says as he looks out at into the defunct space colony's harbor, work being done on the Archangel and Kusanagi.
"If you feel like you want to talk about something, don't be afraid to say it. I'm all ears." You say.
Athrun sighs.
"It's just...I don't know if I...deserve to be here." He confesses.
"Come again?" You say in confusion.
Athrun looks down at his hands.
"It's just that...I've killed one of Kira's friends, and my father's completely gone off the deep end." Athrun trails off before seeming to regain his train of thought. "I thought I'd been fighting for a righteous cause all this time, but now...was I in the wrong all this time?"
You sigh before putting a hand on Athrun's shoulder.
"You lost your mother in the Bloody Valentine attack, right? Kira told me about that." You say gently.
Athrun glumly nods.
"The fact that you're asking yourself those questions means you've learned something from all of this. What it is, I can't tell you, you'll have to figure it out yourself. Heck, I'm still figuring a few things out about myself. And don't shackle yourself to the actions of your old man! Only the Council believes in the sins of the father, take it from someone who has experience with that." You say.
Athrun's expression...well, he's not smiling, but his expression has definitely softened a bit.
"Thanks." He says.
"From one emotional wreck to another." You deadpan as you hold your hand out for handshake.
Athrun chuckles at that before shaking your hand.
A bit later, you see Athrun talking with Cagalli. You're not close enough to hear what they're saying, but you smile when Athrun suddenly embraces her. Aboard the Zaft Nazca-class destroyer Vesalius
You are Flay Allster, and you're convinced that you're suffering from some form of Stockholm Syndrome from your time as Rau Le Creuset's prisoner.
After he'd captured you at the battle of JOSH-A, he'd taken you with him back to the PLANTs before using his authority to discreetly make you, in essence, his personal stewardess after giving you a ZAFT uniform.
Your fears of being sexually assaulted by him had been put to rest after nothing happened for the first two weeks (and what a few sleepless nights had occurred during those two weeks!). If anything, Rau seemed to be more enamored with Lacus Clyne, even after she had been branded an enemy of PLANT by Patrick Zala if the hidden poster you'd found rolled up in his desk was any indication.
Since then, you've attended to many of Creuset's personal needs at his whim, not the least of which was making sure he had ready access to a mysterious medication that he seemed to be keeping a secret from the rest of the crew. It had become a silent, but clear understanding that Rau was not to suffer a seizure due to a lack of his medication unless it was behind closed doors; such a thing occurring would call into question his competency, and in turn endanger you.
Since then, you've developed a grudging respect for Rau Le Creuset, especially after he led a counterattack against a sudden incursion by Jama Kingdom forces.
You accompany Creuset back to his cabin, the two of you having just gotten out of a staff meeting with several of the Vesalius' other bridge officers and the pilot of the Duel Gundam, Yzak Joule.
No sooner does the door close does Rau all but collapse into his chair.
"You're exhausted." You note with some concern as you drift by his desk.
"I'm only human, after all." Rau says as he glances up at you before continuing to philosophize. "I've been living my life from battlefield to battlefield. If you say it's because I'm a soldier, I have no argument. But not one of us was born into this world as a soldier."
You glance away, recalling happier days with your friends in Heliopolis.
"I would love nothing more than to put an end to this sort of thing. You agree with me, don't you?" Rau says before taking out a data disk and letting it spin in microgravity.
"I hold the final key...but if the key stays here...then that final door will never open." Rau grabs the disk. "I would love to somehow open that door."
As Rau glances at you, you look at the disk in his hands with curiosity. Rau suddenly breaks into a coughing fit, and, knowing this is a prelude to one of his seizures, you scramble to a medicine cabinet and produce a bottle of his medication and a pouch of water, handing both of them to Rau.
Rau shoves two pills into his mouth before practically inhaling half of the water in the pouch, the medication instantly having an effect and causing his coughing fit to subside.
"Ah, thank you. I have a feeling our time together shall soon come to an end, my dear." Rau says mournfully.
You're not sure how to interpret that, but you're pretty sure he's not talking about killing you. After all, he's kept you alive this whole time. Why would he suddenly have a change of heart now? TACTICAL SITUATION
