[X] Try to adopt it as a bet. It's is kind of cute. In a murdery, animal sort of way.
As you begin to walk towards your study, you make a little detour towards your new….addition to your stables. Thinking back on it, the transition wasn't completely smooth(that tends to be the case when you bring a carnivorous bird-creature into a building field with herbivores) and more than once you had to chase down and tackle a horse that got out of it's stall. On top of that, you had to subdue the creature a second time when it tried to gore you on it's talons with a sneak attack.
You dodged and grabbed its neck in a sleeper hold until it calmed down.
After that, and a few well placed words, you were able to calm all of the animals down. Figuring that if the creature was like a bird, it would require a nest, you climbed up onto the top of the stable and made one. It was pretty easy, you just had to gather a couple of twigs, leaves, and such and place them in a rough circle.
Once you were done, you carried the beast all the way to the makeshift nest and, gently, placed it into it's new home. It didn't seem to protest at the time, then again, it couldn't really do much with a broken spine. It just looked at you with some kind of acceptance mixed in with defeat. However, behind that you could still see a spark of pride remaining in the creature.
You smile at the memory, as you jump up to the top of the stables. In your hands, you carry a bundle of meat you cut from one of the dead chickens in the chicken coop. It wasn't very pleasant, but you've gotta find something to do with the bodies, and leaving them around would only attract flies and such.
The creature(you've decided to call it a Lionbird) watches you as you approach, the sun's rays causing its feathers to sparkle with a certain radiance. Its eyes keep flicking between you and the bundle in your arms as you get closer to its nest. Once you're at a good distance, you unravel the bundle and put the meat in front of your new resident, and back up a bit.
You're pretty sure you see surprise on the LionBird's face as it begins to approach the meal you set up for it. It sniffs at it, which allows to see that its beak is almost completely healed.
Wow! That's some fast healing!
You only stick around long enough, for the beast to start to feast on your offering(rather ravenously you might add), before you go off to read more of that book on "People" and "How they work."
As you land on the ground, you briefly turn around to wave at the Lionbird as it watches you walk away. Hopefully, it doesn't see you as much of a threat anymore.

[X] Empathy: Feelings: 0+10 = 10
5: Flipping through the book you found in the Study area, you find a new chapter entitled, "Chapter 2: Feelings!" You are so glad you found this book. You discover that people have "feelings."
10: According to the book, every living, thinking being in the world has "feelings" which determine how they act and react to certain situations. There are many different types of feelings that correspond to certain situations. For example, someone will feel sad when a loved one dies.
…..
You can attest to that statement.
You know that people will "feel" different things depending on the situation.
[X] Perception: Environment: 0+10 = 10
5: You notice that you don't really pay an attention to where you walk. You normally just put your feet anywhere there happens to be a space at. That won't do, after all, you could accidentally trip on something! You will no longer trip over your own feet when you walk.
10: Thinking on it, you decide to apply this thinking to everywhere else. What you discover is rather surprising. You had no idea that there were so many squirrels in the trees outside of your property! You know actually pay attention to your surroundings.
