Week 1.4
[X] Cannon Blade

You're pacing around the WTS, pondering the implications of fusing the sharp edge of a melee weapon with the destructive shot of a cannon when you stop and smack yourself in the head.

Where are you gonna get the materials to make a real sword and cannon?

You look towards the racks of weapons lined up against the training room walls. Wooden weapons to be exact. You're mother did support your creativity, but she was still a mom. She didn't like the thought of her little girl playing with actual weapons.

Saws, hammers, and nails were, of course, an exception. Those couldn't break through your rather tough skin.

An iron sword being swung by another person however…..well you didn't want to risk it.

You sigh, this could be a problem.
---
Thankfully, it was rather easy to fix.

[Speed + Strength: 20 + 35: 55 vs DC: 30: Success!]
[20 XP]

You drop the massive rocks of iron that you mined out onto the workshop floor. Now you're really glad you increased your speed. You were able to find that mountain and get back home in no time flat! Getting the iron turned out to be pretty easy, too. You just had to punch a hole in the mountainside until you struck iron.

Looking at your materials, you crack your fingers and get to work.
---

It takes you the better half of the day to get the whole thing finished, but, as you wipe your hand across your forehead, you know it was worth it. You lift up the greatsword(because what else are you gonna put a
cannon in?!) and admire it.

It was beautiful. The blade itself was a standard iron blade, sharp, big, the works. The guard was flat, but was decorated with the same wings you put on your wooden longsword, giving the blade some much needed balance. However, it wasn't the blade or the guard that made it stand out.

You flip the sword over, and point the hilt towards one of the dummies. You make sure to jab the blade through the ground to act as an anchor in case the force of the shot knocks you back.

You look down at the hilt, giving it one last once over before you test it. It was a bit difficult, but you managed to put the cannon's firing mechanism into the hilt of the sword. How'd you do it? Simple:

[Trickery Skill: 0 vs DC 20: Fail]

You just converted the hilt into the barrel of a cannon! Granted you had to resize it so that it could fit in your hand, and you had to put a flap on the tip of the hilt so that you could wield it without worrying about the ammo falling out, but it was worth it!

After that, the only problem was, how were you gonna fire it?

[Explosives: Overt: -20 vs DC 30: Fail]

You had no idea if there was anything nature had that could serve to fire the cannon ball.

[Sorcery: 15 vs DC 10: Success]
[10 XP]

So, you'll just have to use something else. You take a deep breath, and reach out into the air around you. Just like Mama showed you. Closing your eyes, you sense the winds of magic all around you, and grab hold of three or four strands. Then, you weave them into your sword's hilt, watching as they become apart of the weapon. Once enough of them are weaved, you will them into becoming propulsion for the iron ball you're using as ammunition.

You open your eyes, aim, and press the small button on the top of the hilt.

[Cannons Skill: 15 vs DC 10: Success]
[10 XP]

There's a loud clang, and then the iron ball comes roaring out of the cannon. It smashes into the dummy, making straw fly across the hard floor as it knocks off the dummies torso. Then it continues into the second dummy you set up right behind it, knocking that one completely off it's feet. It finally stops after it hits the third dummy...by embedding itself into the thing's chest.

You stand there with a massive grin on your face. It works! It actually works! You start to dance around the room with your sword in hand. When you stop you look at the blade and kiss it repeatedly. Your first real weapon and it actually works!

'I should name this' you think to yourself, as you hold the blade aloft. 'All those cool knights in the stories Mama would read me always named their weapons.' You stand there pondering, before finally settling on a name.

[] Write in...

[X] Irrigation system

Aaaaaaannnnnnddddddd done!

You sigh heavily, as you place the bucket and hoe done at your feet. That actually made you break a sweat! That hasn't happened since Mama had you chop down 32 trees to expand your property that one time! You made sure to plant some acorns in the spots where the trees were in so that more would grow, of course.

[Business: -15 vs DC 10: Fail]

You look out at your farm land and smile. It took a lot, but you finally got all of those trenches dug, and filled each and everyone of them with water. That should keep the plants well watered for a while!

[Cannon Sword(Name Pending) Get!
-Counts as a Ranged and Melee Weapon!
-Will add +10 to combat Skill Checks!
-Can be Upgraded with right materials and Extravagance Skill!
-Can become a Hidden weapon with Trickery Skill!]

[Time till CFC Needed: 6 Months!]

Something else I forgot to mention is that the Skill Cap is 100.

But since you are an Enhanced Human, Superhuman Skills are Capped at 150. Unless you get like the favour of a God or something. Only then will it go to 200.

On top of that if you want to get to the Enlightened Being, get all of your Superhuman Skill to 100 and all the skills of another category(i.e. Melee Weapons) to 100 as well.

Also, if you guys are wondering exactly how strong Enhanced Humans are:

Superhuman:
-Strength: 20
-Speed: 20
-Endurance: 20

This is someone who is a basic Enhanced Human. Think Captain America.

Superhuman:
-Strength: 50
-Speed: 50
-Endurance: 50

This is someone who is a more advanced Enhanced Human. Think Guts from Berserk.

Superhuman:
-Strength: 100
-Speed: 100
-Endurance: 100

A very powerful and experienced Enhanced Human. Think Goku from DBZ.

Superhuman:
-Strength: 150
-Speed: 150
-Endurance: 150

An almost God-like being. Think Superman + The Flash + The Juggernaut….times 100.

Superhuman:
-Strength: 200
-Speed: 200
-Endurance: 200

You are almost Chuck Norris.
ALMOST.

One last thing, roll me:

2 1d20's and 1 1d100

You are free to use SV or Orkos.

I don't have any objection to this as a name, so...

Oh boy. That's...one way to water plants.

Ok then, so high is good, which means that you guys got 2 horrible rolls and 1 crit. Wow.

Also, don't forget to vote for the sword's name. So far I have two for Lighting's Fang.

Right, so we're not fucked then? And I don't care about the name yet. I don't consider it a worthy weapon to have a name yet. Not until we upgrade it severely.

I call it Vera.

Nah, we'll keep that for the rocket propelled chainsaw.

[X] Lightning's Fang

It's a cool name.

I have to agree with kepri's logic, but id rather name it a pun based off the first thing it kills or something like that.

[X] Leave it nameless for now.

Alright, closing the vote.

Looks like it shall remain nameless for now.

I'll start writing the update soon.

Week 1 End/ Week 2
[X] Leave Nameless for now

You look upon your weapon...and you frown. No. No, you would not name it yet. Maybe after you gave it a few upgrades?

'After all,' you swing the weapon around you in a flourish before pretending to sheath it across your back. You chuckle a bit. 'It is
my weapon.'

[Luck Roll 1: Nat 20]

You dust off your knees as you begin to walk away from your mother's grave. You promised her that you would try to visit her whenever you have a spare moment, and you tend to have a lot of those. With the irrigation system set up, you don't really have to water the plants as much as you used to, so you actually have a lot of extra time on your hands.

Granted, most of that time is spent checking on the animals, planting new seeds, and making sure everything's running smoothly.

Even so, you tend to have…..hmmm?

You stop walking as you look down at your feet. There, sniffing at your leg, was a small wolf pup. You raised one eyebrow at it, as it began to circle your feet. It was hardly as big as your hand, and seemed to be a new born fresh out of it's cave.

However, what was strange was that it had striped ruby and sapphire fur. It's not like you haven't seen wolves before, but you've never seen one with a coat of fur like that before.

You bend down just as the pup sits down in front of your right foot. You look into its eyes and see that each one is actually different from the other. One seems to be a swirling mass of darkness, reminding you of the starry night sky, while the other seems to be a deep blue like the ocean.

You smile and reach behind the wolf's ears to scratch it. It doesn't seem to mind, and even starts to rub against your hand as you continue. Once you stop, it barks at you and runs off into the woods.

A few minutes later, it comes back out, dragging a rather large scroll in its jaws. It lays it at your feet while looking up at you expectantly. You grab the scroll and open it.

Dear Traveler,

Thank you for being nice to me!

I'll make sure to tell my mommy and daddy about you!

Signed
Kirean the God-Child!

Aww! How cute the little thing is a God-Child!

….

...Wait...WHAT!?

Your head darts around the entire area, but there's no sign of them. All that's left, that's proof that what just happened was not a dream...is this scroll.

Well...you definitely didn't expect that to happen today.

[A God-Child thinks you're a nice person and plans to tell it's parent about you!]

----

[Luck Roll 2: 8]

With that rather strange incident behind you, you make your way back home. As you pass by the boundary line, indicated by a circle of large trees, of your property, you are treated to a rather unpleasant sight.

[Encounter Roll: 14]

A giant winged animal, almost as big as your house, was currently in your yard chasing down one of your horses. You've seen predatory birds before, but you've never seen one this big. Nor have you ever seen one with it's type of body or face before.

You look down at its sharp talons, and immediately you know that it's carnivorous. Thankfully, based on the lack of bodies, it hasn't gotten to any of your animals, yet. However, you can see that it did knock off some of your roof tiles, apparently using your house as a temporary landing zone.

Just as you take one step closer, the beast stops chasing the mare, who runs back into the stables. The beast looks up into the air, and seems to sniff at it. It turns towards you, and screeches as it charges at you, it's talons quickly eating up the grass beneath it.

[Swords: 20 + Cannon Blade: 10 + Cleverness: 20 + Speed: 35 + Strength: 20 = 105 vs DC: 50 = Extreme Success!]
[+10 XP]

Before the creature even knows what hit it, you jump up and land on top of it's back. Taking out your Cannon Blade, you slam the flat of your blade into its spinal cord, effectively eliminating the threat of it flying again. It screams in pain for a second, before you flip over and smash the flat of your blade against its beak.

The force of the blow causes it to flip end over end and crash into the ground. As it skids to a stop, you land a few feet away from it, and sheath your sword across your back. Thankful you made that sheath for it after you fine tuned the cannon a bit, you walk over to your fallen foe.

The creature, struggling a little as it does its best to stand proud, seems to look at you with equal parts hatred, and respect. It seems to try to take up a fighting stance, ready to fight to the death.

You have to commend it for that, still fighting even though it's got a broken spine and face.

And it's for that exact reason….

[X] You let it live. It didn't really do any damage except for a few misplaced tiles.
[X] You're going to kill it. If it wants a fight to the death, you'll give it one.
[X] Try to adopt it as a bet. It's is kind of cute. In a murdery, animal sort of way.

With that taken care of, you turn your back on the creature and begin walking towards your house. It shouldn't take too long to get that roof fixed. And you're pretty sure you can just punch some of the iron you have left over into some suitable squares....

Week 2 Start

Pick Two Skills to Train.

Sorry it took sometime. I've been playing Doom 4 and Total War: Warhammer...and I just beat Dark Souls 3 the first time.

If anyone is asking about the encounter thing, you're an Enhanced Human. You were made to fight against 5000 normal human for 50 days on end without needing food or water. A griffon is no match for you.

Now some of the other things in the world….

But anyway, yes I did go a bit easy on you. I'm not a GM who believes in pushing in the player's balls for one bad roll when they just started the game. However, if the roll had been worse (i.e. Nat 1-4) then you would've lost some crops or maybe even your irrigation.

But that didn't happen so, yay!

We didn't get a river, but the forest seems just as good :p

EDIT: Actually lets release it so we can keep up the pretense of being a normal farmer. Hey, maybe it'll bring friends ^.^
