[X] Stay, and keep this place running on your own! It doesn't matter what's going on out there, you're needed here.
You stand there, pondering for a bit more. Then you shake your head and walk back into your house with a sigh. Yeah, like you would actually leave the place your mother built with her own two hands. That would be the equivalent of spitting on her grave...right? You're pretty sure that's how that saying goes….
Regardless, it's about time you took stock of what you had. Besides the kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom(which received its water from an underground spring your Mama said she found) your mother also built you a Workshop/Training/Study room, or WTS as she called it.
You begin to make your way towards the area that is located at the back of your home. It's a short trip as you made sure to memorize the way there the minute your mother was finished with it. It was the gift she gave you for your 16th birthday after all.
You walk into the room and gaze at the hardwood floors and walls, each reinforced with leather your mother had gathered from the predators she had come across.
You walk forward and absentmindedly pick up a wooden longsword you had crafted from a tree that fell down in a storm. While it wasn't as pretty as the swords in some of the books from the study, you made sure that it stood out from the rest of the blades your mother had made. Namely, the fact that you had added wings to the guard to make it look angelic.
You look over towards the workshop in the right alcove of the room. Your mother had created that area after you crafted that longsword, putting a table with a hammer, hand-saw, and nails in the middle of the room. She wasn't exceedingly worried about it, primarily because most of how tough your skin was.
You finally reach the training room with two wheat stuffed dummies sitting in the middle of a ring, surrounded by swords, axes, and spears on all sides. You walk into the room, and feel your arms throb. You had taken many a wound in this area, and while they couldn't break your skin, they did leave bruises.
And those bruises, when given by your Mama, tended to last for weeks at the most.
'Well, on the bright side' you think as you heft a two-handed axe as if it was a toy, 'I'm much stronger than a was before.'
You smile, then grimace a bit.
Yes, stronger, but not smarter. Your mother had tried to teach you about things other than swing weapons around and how to calculate the best way to defeat an enemy, but your mind was just on other things. You had learned a bit of magic, but almost everything was just alien to you.
Oh, except for cannons.
You enjoyed learning about those.
Other than that though, anything else she tried to teach you simply slipped right out of your head.
You shake your head as you place the axe back on the ground.
Ah well, all this means is that you'll have to learn it on your own.
That would be what Mama wanted.
