Say, is there any particular meaning to colored choices? Some of the colors are hard to make out on some of the themes.

Not really no. I just wanted to make them pop kind of, and I felt that if I put red some people may take it as the quote "Bad/Evil" choice.

This seems to be the current winner, so unless someone else votes, I'll start writing the update later today.

In the meantime, which of these pictures do you guys think would be best for Trine?

Spoiled for size:

Note: If you pic 2 or 3, people will mistake you for a boy at first glance. If you guys have any suggestions that may be better, go ahead and post them.

Vote's locked, looks like we're staying.

I'll start writing the update.

I'll leave the picture vote till later.

Week 1.2
[X] Stay, and keep this place running on your own! It doesn't matter what's going on out there, you're needed here.

You stand there, pondering for a bit more. Then you shake your head and walk back into your house with a sigh. Yeah, like you would actually leave the place your mother built with her own two hands. That would be the equivalent of spitting on her grave...right? You're pretty sure that's how that saying goes….

Regardless, it's about time you took stock of what you had. Besides the kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom(which received its water from an underground spring your Mama said she found) your mother also built you a Workshop/Training/Study room, or WTS as she called it.

You begin to make your way towards the area that is located at the back of your home. It's a short trip as you made sure to memorize the way there the minute your mother was finished with it. It was the gift she gave you for your 16th birthday after all.

You walk into the room and gaze at the hardwood floors and walls, each reinforced with leather your mother had gathered from the predators she had come across.

You walk forward and absentmindedly pick up a wooden longsword you had crafted from a tree that fell down in a storm. While it wasn't as pretty as the swords in some of the books from the study, you made sure that it stood out from the rest of the blades your mother had made. Namely, the fact that you had added wings to the guard to make it look angelic.

You look over towards the workshop in the right alcove of the room. Your mother had created that area after you crafted that longsword, putting a table with a hammer, hand-saw, and nails in the middle of the room. She wasn't exceedingly worried about it, primarily because most of how tough your skin was.

You finally reach the training room with two wheat stuffed dummies sitting in the middle of a ring, surrounded by swords, axes, and spears on all sides. You walk into the room, and feel your arms throb. You had taken many a wound in this area, and while they couldn't break your skin, they did leave bruises.

And those bruises, when given by your Mama, tended to last for weeks at the most.

'Well, on the bright side' you think as you heft a two-handed axe as if it was a toy, 'I'm much stronger than a was before.'
You smile, then grimace a bit.

Yes, stronger, but not smarter. Your mother had tried to teach you about things other than swing weapons around and how to calculate the best way to defeat an enemy, but your mind was just on other things. You had learned a bit of magic, but almost everything was just alien to you.

Oh, except for cannons.

You enjoyed learning about those.

Other than that though, anything else she tried to teach you simply slipped right out of your head.

You shake your head as you place the axe back on the ground.

Ah well, all this means is that you'll have to learn it on your own.

That would be what Mama wanted.

Pick Two Skills to Train.

How old are we again?
Either way, social skill trainings are essential if we're at the typical sage quest 0 point level.

"You now know that people have feelings. You now know that people do things for a reason."

Week 1.3
[X] Superhuman-Speed: 20+15 = 35

25: Moving fast was never a problem for you. Whenever wolves or other creatures tried to hurt your chickens, Mama would always tell you to run and help them. It was really good exercise, and many times you got there before the wolves ever had a chance to see you! However, with Mama gone, you're gonna have to be faster, so that you can stop the wolves before they even get on the farm. So, you place yourself at the very edge of your property, just before it turns into that long straight road. Then you run.

30: And run.

35: By the time you stop, you realize that you passed by the chicken coop and came back around about 5 times. Which is wierd, because all you remember is your vision getting blurry and your legs pumping really hard. Either way, you can't help but feel….more agile somehow.
You can now move faster than the human eye can see.

[X] Empathy-Motives: 0+10 = 10

5: Pouring through some of the old books on people that your mother put in the Study, you come across one that has a blank front cover. On the cover however, is a label in your mother's handwriting. It says "People, How do they work?" Your right eyebrow raises as you open the book to "Chapter 1: Reasons!" This could come in handy!
You now know what "reasons" are.

10: Further along, the book starts to talk about how everyone has a "reason" for doing something, even if they don't really know what it is yet. You slightly jump at this statement. You mean that people have don't just do things because that's just how it is?! Thinking further, you realize that, that statement is a bit ironic, since it is also a reason in and of itself. You discover that people have "reasons" for doing things.

---
You wince as your hand rubs cool water on your ankles. While moving that fast is all well and good, you're not sure the pain that came after was worth the risk.

[Speed Skill: 35: Success!]
[+10 XP]

That is until you finish the daily yard work in less than 20 minutes. Wow! You've never finished all your chores this fast since….ever really! Thinking on it, you're pretty sure you could improve your farm to some degree. An irrigation system of sorts. Of course you're gonna need some more materials than just wood.

[Invention(Extravagance): 15: Success]
[+10 XP]
