I assume people are talking about the continuous phaser strip that circles two thirds of the the saucer section in the Ushaan design, rather than the Endeavour which had a split in them due to the sensor palette.
It would be nice to know which (if either) of these designs has that feature.
What if it was mounted on the underside of the secondary hull?The secondary hull would link in pretty close to the bottom of the saucer which wouldn't leave space for it. At least that's my gut feeling.

The Endeavour-class has an aft launcher on the saucer section, which has only nominal tactical value most of the time, but the fore launcher is in the engineering section, and this vote is just for the saucer right now.The Endeavor saucer wouldn't have any torpedoes if I'm reading this right? So we'd only have torpedo launchers from the engineering hull?
