We are already advantage positive on this design at a multiple. With this approach we are becoming very maneuverable for a corvette, can mount a big pile of weapons, and have 14 points to do so.

Vulkan Corvette Bridge
Name: Mk. 1 Vulkan Corvette Bride
Size: Large (-1 Compartment, +1 Weapon)

Flaw: 0
Cost: 2

This keeps cost down while also boosting stats allowing us to fit more weapons and shields for the same end cost.
The cost will be 3, we're trading 2:1 on Advantage for shaving off a point of Cost.

Makes the most sense, and gives us what Tarkin is asking for. Which is a cheap, maneuverable gun boat with lots of gun available.

so what's left after this? Just weapon and shields? so far we are looking to be able to meet all three requirements of 6 guns, strong shields, and being cheap(ish). Granted I'm feeling as though we might end up having to take a few flaws on the final design to met the demands as long as those flaws stay low I'm sure the ship will be one of the best on the market.

But you have to say that the company name is included in the price. The same is if you have two smartphone manufacturers, the more well-known brand (Apple for example) is more expensive than other manufacturers although they do the same tasks and have the same properties.

Not to mention building it in-house means no transportation costs, packaging costs, etc. We make the thing and we plunk it onto the ship, done.

1:1 Cost-Advantage trades are amazing. 2-1 are significantly less so.
