Huh. I thought our diplomacy score was up to 12? The rule's more complicated than simply adding the relevant score to the roll then. Has anybody tried to codify these rules in some thread?
The bonus is half your relevant score rounded up. Diplomacy is thirteen thanks to Corellian Crisis success, so you had a plus seven bonus to the roll.
 
Potential Planets

Dantooine


A sparsely populated world of rolling plains and ancestral estates, the Imperial Governor of the planet is currently offering land dirt cheap. He also has only the laxest of security over the Jedi Enclave on Dantooine, a squad or so of militia guards ensuring that no one goes and does anything stupid. Though it is nearly picked clean, there might just be something useful still left on the planet.

Main Advantage: Sparsely populated
Side Advantage: Jedi Enclave

Ruusan
Once a green world of jungles and the Force, the New Sith Wars ravaged the Planet, Darth Bane's Thought Bomb turning once vibrant life into burnt out desert and shattered dreams. Populated by Bouncers, humans, and Ruusanians, the planet is well isolated owing to the constantly shifting Nebulae around it- you are one of very few people with the ability to safely and consistently travel there. Filled with historical remnants of the Army Of Light and the Russan crystal which work well for Lightsabers, it should be quite useful.

Main Advantage: Jedi Touched
Side Advantage: Quite Isolated


Ossus

The ancestral home of the Jedi Order, a school of Philosophy, dedicated to Knowledge and Enlightenment. Here is where Odan-Urr laid down the Jedi Code, where the great Jedi Library stood. Though much was lost- so much- there is sure to remain some fragments of knowledge, some might in the Force. Also, the native Ysanna, simple Hunter-Gatherers they may be, are as a whole much more likely to be Force-Sensitive, and would be peaceful to most of the people you have thought to send there to run the new base, and to staff it.

There should be at most a few smugglers that know the way to the planet. We can take them easily. The others are known to the Empire, and associated with the Order, so they are far more risky.

The others are most likely monitored, or the first place the Empire will come looking when they hear of more Jedi activity.

It's the planet you can't find unless you know how to get there. Should keep the Imperials from finding our base through probe droids.

Sure it does hold a historical significance to the Jedi, but nothing really lays there expect for ghosts and ancient history so Palpy isn't going to immediately think of it. The crystals should allow us to equip lightsabers easily with a light enfused environment to meditate in.

Not to mention we could rename our part of the Rebellion, The Second Army of Light as what Jedi we've found are militaristic in their outlook. Plus gives us an excuse to reform the Order once again.
 
Remember, this is the backup base we'll retreat to if things go pear-shaped, not our main demesne. If we need to use the place, things are probably already coming to a head.

It'll come when an open Declaration of Rebellion is announced, through cordinated strikes on military and political targets across the galaxy.

Our face is most likely going to be plastered across the holonet as by our own men in a propaganda campagin to boost recruitment as a former Imperial Officer turned Jedi General and a leading figure of the Rebellion's leadership. The Empire already knows where we live, so I get the feeling we'll need to abandon Taris quickly.

If it's hard to find the way through the nebulae surrounding Ruusan, do we personally have to fly the route there, or can we just create maps for other pilots?

Also, looking for salvage from the Jedi Enclave on Dantooine and the Great Jedi Library on Ossus sounds highly worthwhile - could we maybe take those as Piety actions in the future?

We originally got the info from T3, so it's just a question of passing the coordinates along.

You can just pass the co-ordinates from T3 to any potential pilots.

And both Ossus and Dantooine have already had pretty well all the easy pickings stripped from them, Ossus by you and Dantooine by various scavengers.
