ELOGIUM (0.2)
Jenny gulped and fluttered backwards. She figured she should at the very least introduce herself. Right? This...oh wow. She drew back and glanced over Voyager. She was just easily the loveliest metasentient grayzoner that Jenny had ever seen: Her saucer section was thrumming with vibrancy - colors shading into the shallow reds with a few sparkly flashes of distant orange among them. She was remarkable from the outer layers of her conceptual zones to her individual interlocking parts. Jenny realized she was actually being a little rude by staring so intently at another person, even if she was a grayzoner. Doubly so when she was such a pretty grayzoner. So, she drew herself up into as stable a configuration as she could and introduced herself.

"Well, uh...uh, hi!" she said. "I'm Ultra, a Jennyzoner- I, er, I mean, I'm Jenny! I'm an Ultrazoner! I was just...just..."

"Ultrazoner?" Voyager asked, curiously.

"Oh, uh, there's...conceptual zones and...branching multiverse, we're deep in the...fan..." Jenny shivered as Voyager reached out with one of those delightfully quaint grayzone arms and caressed her chin with tickling fingers of tachyonic pulses and...radar. How the hell could someone make radar seem so damn classy? It was dirt simple electromagnetism! Jenny blushed from her highest head to her lowest feet and stammered more. "Hi."

"Hello," Voyager said, smiling.

"Do you wanna trade contact information? Maybe get drinks?" Jenny asked, dazedly.

"Sure," Voyager said, her eyes sparkling.

"What's going on here?"

Jenny swung around and almost screamed. She hadn't realized that someone else was here. And...

Oh.

Oh.

The other grayzoner was just as gorgeous as Voyager. But where Voyager had been lovely, this grayzoner was dangerously sexy. She was tight and trim and had a broad chin and wicked smirk and a kind of metaphasic folding trick that would make her completely invisible to other grayzoners. The fact she had managed to sneak up on Jenny felt a little embarrassing - but also deeply arousing, in the same way a knife to your throat was. Wow. Wow. Had Jenny just...thought that? The other grayzoner moved in close to Voyager, between her and Jenny. She put her arm protectively around Voyager and shot a glare at Jenny, full of locking algorithms and the promise of high energy particle impacts. Jenny froze as the other grayzoner growled, quietly.

"Voyager-"

"Val Jean, please, you're being rude," Voyager said, her voice a husky, throaty chuckle as she caressed the head of Val Jean. She was younger than Voyager, at least, from a metasense. That is...it was confusing, actually. Val Jean looked tough and butch with her midnight black metafold and her short, spiky hair and her scarred, notched jaw, and her bruised knuckles and disruptor cannons and sleek, wing-capped nacelles. But despite all the signifiers of age and experience, her metaself was young and fresh. And vibrant. And...

Jenny realized it. "You're shallow red all over!" she exclaimed.

Val Jean scowled. "What do you mean by that?"

"I...I didn't mean to insult you," Jenny said, hurriedly. "Just, uh, a lot of the conceptual cores-"

"You're looking at my conceptual cores, huh?" Val Jean asked.

"Oh, I, uh, no, I'm not, I mean, a little, you're showing, since, I...I'm sorry, I'm being so rude!"

"Val Jean, darling, you're terrifying the poor girl," Voyager crooned. Val Jean huffed. "Oh my. Is my little Jean jealous." Those long, delicate fingers caressed Val Jean again - flickering communication, flashing between metaselves. Jenny was pretty sure, from the narrowness of Voyager's touch, from the glancing, sensual caress of the ear, that a single part of one conceptual zone was touching another. Grayzoner to grayzoner communication. It was sooo...so...tactile.

"I'm not jealous," Val Jean muttered.

"You are, it's adorable," Voyager chortled and leaned against her butch partner.

Val Jean snorted.

"Still, I won't say no to drinks," Voyager said.

"All three of us?" Val Jean asked. She paused, then looked Jenny over. And slowly, those aggressive, fierce, jealous eyes - tinged all over with shallow reds - grew more intent. Thoughtful. Then those tough, rough lips split and she adjusted her black metafold with a single tug of her rough fingers. "Maybe that could be fun."

Jenny concept smashed. Her body enfolded on itself again and again, then unfolded again, so flustered that Knute canard quinto carry-on give me the luggage, Sarah, fergetabout it positronic orange maroon pie. As the two grayzoners exchanged a glance, she managed to right herself so 'word' meant 'word' again rather than 'umbrella' and squeaked out: "SUREOKAYCOMEONHERESMYHOUSE!" She swept her long, sinuous body out around the two. She focused, strained, gritted her teeth, and managed to yank both of them to her parent's house in the shallow red. She figured it was the place that both would be most comfortable.

"So, uh, this is my parents house - don't worry, they're not in the shallow red that often. Uh, that's my universal loom, and, here's my Rick and Morty DVDs - don't worry, uh, I only watch it for the Beth episodes. Well, except for season three, season three got really..." Jenny realized she was rambling and turned to face Voyager and Val Jean.

She blinked.

"O-oh! Uh, you anthropmorphized! A-Are you two all right?"

Voyager was tall and MILFy - curvacious, generous in the hips and bust, with flowing hair made of the same glowing blue energy as her warp core. Her arms had the nacelle blue insets on the shoulders, glowing red fingertips, and silver skin. Her belly had the markings of her deflector dish. She was dressed in a gauzy shield, shimmering around her like a multifaceted gemstone. Val Jean, meanwhile, was just as butch-ey in this conceptualization as she had been in the grayzone: tough and short, with glowing green markings on her knuckles, dull orange-brown skin, and the signs of wear and tear all across her body. Her cloaking field looked like a leather jacket here.

Both ships sat up.

Then they both started to scream at the top of their lungs.

"U-Uh...uhhhh!" Jenny squeaked.

The roof thumped and a voice called down from the near purple. "Jenny? Is everything okay down there?"

Jenny sprang forward and anthropmorphized herself as well - putting her newly formed scaled hands over the two shipgirl's mouths, muffling their cries. "Yes, Mom! Everything's fine!" She called over her shoulder.

"Okay!" Mom said.

She looked intently back at the wide, wide, wide eyes of Voyager and Val Jean. "A-Are you two going to stay calm?" she whispered.

They both nodded.

"Okay," Jenny said, then slowly withdrew her palms from their mouths.

Voyager stood, slowly, shakily. "I'm...a human being?" she asked, looking down at her glowing arms.

"No, you're just anthropmorphic," Jenny said.

"Where's my crew?" Voyager squeaked.

"They're here!" Jenny said, nodding. "In the far red, they're just more fully a part of your metaself!" She paused. "That's why you sound like Kate Mulgrew?"

"Who?" Voyager asked.

"And you sound like..." Jenny paused.

"I don't know?" Val Jean asked.

Jenny frowned. "Robert Beltram after two years of HRT and speech therapy. Roberta Beltram!" She said, brightly. "Butch Beltram."

Voyager and Val Jean exchanged a meaningful look.

Voyager frowned. "Take us home right now."

Jenny nodded. That was easy! She just needed to branchiate them back apart into their...component...conce...cepts...of...

She froze.

Branchiate.

She had to branchiate them.

SHE HAD TO BRANCHIATE THEM AHHHHHHHHHHHHH-

"Well?" Voyager asked, her voice husky and dangerous.

"...well, uh..." Jenny said, tapping her fingers together as she thought furiously.

Man, this is amazing. Star trek wishes it was this good

...As a shipgirl myself, and as someone who dearly enjoys conceptual fuckery (feel your partner-ship's wake, with its flavors of bremsstrahlung and cherenkov...) this is a really delightful read. The likening of such things as tachyons to something as mundane as touch is very fun to me.

. . . my thoughts on the anthropomorphizations are best left unsaid, but they're very positive! :p

I want to go for the "highest number of things that if you squint could be a holodeck episode" run. :p

Then, to put off having to try:
[X] Stall for time. Tell them that the shallow red is full of interesting things to look at!
[X] Stall for time. Try and get them drinks.

Threesome vote would be cute and all, but the ladies are a bit too freaked out right now for that to happen. Gotta smooth things over. :p

Shipgirl episode? Shipgirl episode.
Imagine the Kancolle crossover event - the average gacha player disintegrating from butch exposure to Val Jean like they're looking in the Ark of the Covenant.

Voyager might legit kill a bitch if Jenny doesn't fess up.

Kancolle is not a good crossover, sure you get shipgirls but you also get there other side you know the abyss. Abyss star star ships would be a nightmare. Of course that's if you taking from Kancolle canon( what canon it has at any rate)

Also another thing with kancolle depending on what you think of shipgirls in some things they have all the memories of there crews which can be interesting

A nonsense word. Its only relevant definition is in this story as the thing that Jenny can't do and gets mocked for; and also the thing that Jenny would need to do to get Voyager and Val Jean back to the Grayzone quickly. Instead, they're going on an adventure :>
I think it's the term for arboreal movement facilitated by swinging from branches, often seen in monkeys.
