Why was this Chapter founded? Standing Force.
When? Unknown. Possibly a mix-up with the Administratum.

Chapter Relations? Officio Assassinorum
Chapter Enemies? The Tau Empire

Messed up a couple of rolls and now I have 3 that technically say "Rule of Homeworld" but I just used those rolls for the next 2 parts.

Chapter Biography:

The Shadow Hunters Chapter of the Adeptus Astartes are a Loyalist Chapter whose bloodline is said to hail from the Second Founding Chapter known as the Disciples of the Throne. They are a highly secretive and mysterious group, whose true origins are unknown to all those outside the Chapter save for a select few trusted individuals.

Information regarding the Chapter is so inconsistent that even their founding is unknown. Some reports claim that the Shadow Hunters were founded following the Third Sphere Expansion, originally as a deterrent and guard against further Tau aggression. Other sources contain evidence that this Chapter has been in existence since the aftermath of the 9th Black Crusade. There have even been cases where the Chapter was reported to be destroyed entirely, such as during the events of the 11th Black Crusade, only to make an appearance at a later date, such as during the Second War for Armageddon.

Many of these secrets are maintained with the assistance of the Chapter's closest ally: the Officio Assassinorum. As expected, the details of how this alliance came to be are rare and difficult to determine. The leading theory behind the Assassinorum's support of the Chapter is that the Chapter, using its immense telepathic and espionage talents, saved the life of the Master of the Vanus Assassin Temple from death at the hands of a Chaos plot. It is said that the Chapter Master at the time, Kamran Laskaras, had slain a Daemon Prince of Tzeentch in single combat, which resulted in the wounds that would lead to his internment into the life support systems of a Venerable Dreadnought. However, all records relating to such events are highly classified, making this theory difficult to prove. What is known is that the Chapter Master remains alive to this very day and guides his successors even when in deep sleep via his immense telepathic abilities.

Like their parent Chapter, the Shadow Hunters possess a large concentration of psykers within their ranks. However, due to a minor form of Geneseed mutation, such psychic powers take on a unique form: universal telepathy. Every Astartes that possesses the Geneseed of the Shadow Hunters Chapter possesses an inherent mental link with all others. In addition, this means that all Techmarines within the Chapter are skilled in the rare art of Technomancy. Even those that do not manifest full psychic powers can tap into this telepathic ability to share thoughts and even memories with their brothers. The range of this ability varies depending on the concentration of Shadow Hunters in a given location and their individual psychic potential. However, even a Battle Brother that otherwise lacks any psychic strength beyond that of a standard human can sense the presence of a Battle Brother from nearly a hundred kilometers away at minimum. The greatest recorded range that a Shadow Hunter marine could sense a Battle Brother from was from Captain Alistair of the 3rd Company, when he directed a squad of Space Marines from nearly a million kilometers away in his Strike Cruiser, Fist of Silence, while the linked Astartes were infiltrating a Tau fortress upon the world of Sempora.

However, this incredible telepathic skill comes at a cost: no member of the Chapter without a psyker rating of Delta or higher is capable of learning any other psychic discipline. As a result of this mutation, the Shadow Hunters adopted a form of Warfare based primarily around stealth and sabotage, combining their affinity for unmatched coordination with their psychic discipline's ability to render themselves invisible to living beings. During the Second War for Armageddon, the Shadow Hunters dealt primarily in countering Ork Kommandos, preventing numerous ambushes and the destruction of vital shipments of supplies.

Uniquely for most Chapters, the Shadow Hunters also possess large numbers of Power and Force weapons as well as Camo-Cloaks. Whether these weapons were gifts or stolen is unknown, however, the possibility exists that they were presented as payment by the Officio Assassinorum in exchange for the Shadow Hunters' services. Their skills at information-gathering and infiltration make them perfectly suited for the silent work of the Imperium's finest assassins, either as assassins themselves or as support units.

Descendant Chapter: The Torch Bearers
I'm going to declare my chosen elements now: this is a cursed founding chapter with A New Generation class geneseed purity.

Full Characteristics -
Purpose: Strategic Prognostication
Founding: Cursed Founding (Locked In)
Progenitor: Unknown (AKA Thousand Suns, via Disciples of the Throne) (Inherently predefined)
Geneseed Purity: A New Generation (Locked In)
Demeanor: Scions of Mars
Figure of Legend: Chapter master
Deed of Legend: Took out a rebel army, restored a whole sector to imperial rule.
Homeworld: Feral World
Terrain: Ice
Rule of Homeworld: Distant rule.
Organization: Codex Compliant
Doctrine: Thunderhawk Assault
Beliefs: Esoteric Beliefs
Strength: Under-strength
Friends: Adeptus Titanicus
Enemies: Eldar

Name: Torch Bearers
Marine Count: 452

This chapter, born from the strange crucible of the cursed founding, is lacking in the sort of psychic gifts common among its second founding father. Rather than gifted souls, they have only gifted minds, and it is around the mind and technology that their values system is built. Set upon the frigid world of Korafortha in the Segmentum Pacificus to watch for rebellion and put it down, they have taken upon themselves to select only those among the primitive natives who reach ever onwards towards the perfection of knowledge, spurning those who lionize might as the essence of humanity instead. This has resulted in their chapter being chronically undersized due to selecting aspirants whose physiques are more frail than is generally desired among the astartes. To suggest that the pursuit of learning and enlightenment is anything but the one path to the emperor's grace is vile heresy to them. In battle, they favor assaults via thunderhawks for how they minimize the potential harm done to the landscape - and any secrets it may hold - caused by their approach to the enemy.

Curiously, despite their heterodox pursuit of beliefs which only align somewhat with mechanicus doctrine, they have found themselves in the good graces of the titan legion of their region in the centuries since their second chapter master, Toklo, quelled a sector wide rebellion which threatened to seize the titan forges themselves. By contrast, they have come into frequent conflicts with the nearby eldar due to their attempts to deprive humanity of knowledge.

The only thing Dinesh specified to predetermine was progenitor.
That being said, we were also given two free-choices to use as we saw fit.
The reason I predetermined my founding year and genetic purity is because I elected to use my free choices for those.

[X] Telekinesis.
Can we all agree to vote for Technomancy after Telekinesis, Imagine building a Star Forge that can churn out ships and other stuff we need left and right by the thousands. Almost Infinite Resource if we manage to build it.
"If you people don't know what is Star forge is you can find about it in Star wars".

- The Shade Watchers are an interesting study of Astartes lineage and the disparity(or lack thereof) displayed with distance and age. As one of the youngest Chapters to be formed*, they had a wealth of history to take from in their regards to their strategies and specializations; So it comes to no surprise that the Shade Watchers have decided to emulate their elders, although time will tell if it remains so.

-- Curiously the Shade Watchers do not maintain contact with all but a few institutions of Imperium, the Holy Ordos and the Adeptus Mechanicus are the only ones I know of even with my relative closeness to the Chapter. They are loyal to the Emperor and to the Imperium, a question that none need ask, but their refusal to communicate remains a mystery. It not from shame or dishonor nor is it from inability to, they themselves host a some mighty Librarians exceptionally skilled with Telepathy, it's almost like they simply refuse to. Privately I hope this seeming flaw, for lack of better term, doesn't spell the death of them all.

-- With all that said it's time for the meat of the subject, you may ask me; "Adept, How do These mysterious Angels of Death fight?". Well reader it is good that you've asked. To witness a typical CR operation is a thing of beauty. Imagine this situation, as hard as it may be:

-- You are an enemy of man, it is a difficult thing to do I know, maybe you have been taken in by the deceit of the Tau or maybe you are a heretic damning your soul to the Dark Gods, cursed they be, for whatever means you deem necessary. It's a typical day on guard duty on your accursed base and you are doing whatever Traitorous/Heretical things it is you do, when suddenly you hear a low whine that seems to be rising. This is not the typical whining of your fellow Traitors/Heretics who know they are forever damned in the eyes of the All Mighty Emperor, but the whine of a finely attuned, finely crafted Land Speeder squadron, bearing mighty arms and plated in impervious armor, heading straight for you. Perhaps you manage to shout an alarm or to raise your weapon in pathetic defiance, before you manage to do anything else your base's Watchtowers, Barracks and Armories simultaneously explode from the sabotage that CR infiltrators have wrought. Suddenly you hear another sound, you look up and see dozens of Whirlwind munitions falling from the sky and onto various positions of your Heretic Traitor allies.

-- I have used the word "emulate" in my opening paragraph specifically, as where the Disciples of the Throne are famous for their fearsome Force Glaives and splendid fighting techniques** the CR instead focuses on Land Speeders Storms and Tempests as well as the occasional Whirlwind support artillery vehicle. Though aside from those vehicles I have seen neither nut or bolt of Predators, and rarely do I see or hear of honored Dreadnoughts.

-- From my questions I've uncovered more from these mysterious Angels of Death, supposedly their first Master of Sanctity, a figure known as Decimion, helped to not only found the Shade Watchers but also lead them in their early days as they grew into their roles. This Decimion was from the Disciples of the Throne themselves, which would explain the level of influence he wielded. The act that solidified his legend was his daring raid on an Eldar Craftworld. It was unknown how he and his chosen squad managed it, but somehow they infiltrated and sabotaged the massive ship. Nowhere near enough to destroy it but enough that the Imperial Fleet chasing it was finally able to catch up to and deal significant damage to the Craftworld. It is unknown if the Eldar ever found out, they likely have, but in the following years Ork looters and raiders have harried the Shade Watchers.

-- To those not yet aware the Shade Watchers are one of the Astartes Chapters that actively choose to make and maintain alliances with different Inquisitors amongst the Ordos, though the majority of them are from the Ordo Xenos.

*For those with no definite founding, refer to their Year of Rediscovery
**Interested individuals may peruse my 2nd interview with Disciple of the Throne Company Champion Bashir Ulmaesh, in my work "Weapon-Saints: Legends Among Us"

Very much so. As is 'I'm unwilling to produce Exterminatus Equipment unless you give us the STC' type of fuss.

just that ,when the admech kicks up a "fuss" its normally way worse ,I am taking about the various admech members in an inquisitors retinue being recalled ,all support for the chamber militants being halted that means no more components for the deathwatch or the greyknights to build and maintain new gear , all new shipments of powerarmor and bolters for the sisters being completely stopped and that is just the start the admech could start leaning on the other branches of the imperium hard making sure the the inquisitors wont be able to drum up any form of support . making matters worse is the fact that the inquisition as a whole is not a united body with countless factions , groups and conclaves all vying for there own agendas with them all being made up of highly independent inquisitors this means that the rest of the inquisition is pushing for which ever idiot provoked the admech in to giving them what they want as the "fuss" is beginning to effect them
