Shards of a Broken Sun [Deprecated; see link in final post for remake]

The structure and premises of a model do predict things, though, and causes do lead to effects. If your model implies certain things about what the causes are, that also implies things about what the effects are - like, for instance, whether Charas merging with their originators is possible.

Hence criticisms that your model doesn't account for - or especially that it proscribes - Chara Transformations can in fact be legitimate criticisms.
So where did I imply combining was impossible, then?

I mean, it's not like Im dumb enough to not pick up on logical conclusions that could be extrapolated from my statements

So, logically speaking, there must be some point where that was true in order for it to qualify as a legitimate criticism

Calm down. Different people read different things into the same words; it's a thing that happens.

At this point, I recommend making assumptions more explicit. On both sides.

It's hard to tell, but i'm pretty neutral right now

When I lose it, my phone typing becomes more erratic. Anyway, I'll just shelve refining the Chara thing till more data becomes available, the linkage being solidified is what was more important anyway.

Given that exploitation now becomes possible, at any rate

Um. The newest entry is from just a few hours ago?

The date on the index post shows just its original posting date, not the date of the most recent edit...
Oh, whoops, i was looking at the black impulse thing, which has been at 5 since long time ago... it's a side story isn't it?

It is. The story as a whole seems to be moving at a glacial pace, despite my somewhat recent best efforts, and there hasn't been reason to get it involved recently...

But that will change in just a moment.
For me, it shows very clearly "Last edited: 5 minutes ago", over on the right. Does it not do that on all themes?
...it does. Never mind. I'm tired.

.

Hora-fuckin'-Hora

Yeah, I don't think you or we were expecting yet another sidequest to erupt out of this. Though it's a good example that even a failure can drive a good story!

Of course, we also need to hope we come out in time to make a difference in the upcoming kerfuffle, especially with us not having been able to spend XP in several months OOCly, and about to run face-first into training time issues too :(

If I were going to.violate the sites rules, I wouldn't do so in any way that could be misinterpreted

And it's,not my fault MGQ is smut, so I don't see where the problem is.

[x] I want to help. I don't want Amu to do everything on her own.

Sure, I'll vote. I want to see Miki get some kind of powerup, and this seems like her strongest desire long-term and to a lesser extent short-term given Amu's insane growth. Good enough reasoning for me.

Er, right. Responding to Margaret.

[X] "... I want a lot of things, Miss Margaret. I want the Septentriones gone. I want not to fade away. I want Earth not to fade away. I want to make beautiful things, for their own sake and for others'. I want my family to be safe. I want everyone to be safe. I want to grow up and get married. I want to help Amu with whatever she does. I want a good night's sleep and a comforting hug and an entire liter of ice cream.
- [X] "But right now I will settle for getting us home, and I will be more than happy for it."

... of course, I think the question being asked may actually be what Miki's Motivation is, mechanically, and I'm not sure what to say to that. (EDIT: Well, okay, "I want to help Amu" isn't exactly a poor response. EDIT 2: Added it and voted properly.)

Eh, if you feel that way too, then I guess it can't hurt to voice a personal suspicion that Margaret is trying to finish making Miki her own distinct entity, much like SEUAS would do.

Perhaps using the offer of a contract with the Velvet Room as some kind of workaround enabling her to do so?
