You looked towards Itachi and rolled your eyes. He was going to be fine. If his mother was anything like you've heard about, he should be alright.
And if not, well, you were sure he could handle himself regardless of what may happen. Hopefully, the Fangirls weren't too vicious.
So you wandered your way to the other group of fangirls that seemed to be plotting to ambush you. And saw that one was not like all the others.
The girl was shy. It was a very insightful observation, seeing as she was quiet, and drifted further behind the other fangirls that were dominating the crowd that was now… crowding you. You had turned out their mindless drivel and compliments about your skill and eyes and pushed your way through. To the shy girl in the back.
You smiled. "Hello." You smile at her. "You don't have to follow these banshee's because they pick on you."
"Excuse me." one of the fangirls said.
You turned on your Byakugan and glared at the girl who interrupted you. "I am talking to someone else, not you, it is rude to interrupt."
The girls seemed to swoon at you asserting your position, but you ignored them. "What's your name?" You asked.
"Tokunaga Futaba." She whispered, her voice barely hearable to you because of all the whispering.
"It is nice to meet you Futaba." You said, holding out your hand. She then shook it.
Futaba smiled a little before you looked back. "Leave."
"We don't have to-" Your glare silenced the fangirl talking to you.
"I insist." You demanded.
The fangirls looked dejected, and they did indeed decide to leave you and Futaba alone.
"Why did you come over here?" Futaba asked.
"You were being picked on by them Futaba, I don't like bullies picking on people who are different. You were being picked on." You stated.
Futaba sighed. "I just wanted to have friends."
"Those were not friends." You stated calmly. "Those people did not see you as one of them, they viewed you as someone else." You stated. "They only take you along because they want to use you."
Futaba did not show anything but raw emotion. She looked ready to cry at the insinuation. "No… you're wrong." She whispered. "They see me as a friend."
"Do you really believe that?" The question was very… on point. "Do you really believe that friends should pick on each other and call them names that are demeaning? To do things that they all find uncomfortable?"
Futaba took a moment to think before she whispered. "No." She whispered.
"Would you like to be my friend?" You asked.
"Yes." She stated.
You smiled. "Shiro Hyuga, it is a pleasure to meet you."
Futaba seemed to blush red. "A pleasure to meet you."
You looked back to Itachi and saw that he seemed to be engaging in Mortal combat… or rather, Kunoichi in training with little experience… were trying to gain Itachi's affection by battling each other, and Itachi was caught in the middle of it.
At least the Academy wouldn't be boring.
Reward: Futaba is now your Friend.
The ANBU agent: Beaver is your Friend.
Itachi has cemented himself as your best friend.
