well their main base is in space so they can kinda just go wherever they want. but I'm not sure they really have the strength to go up against any of the real heavy hitters.

they might, it's an interplanetary news channel that broadcasts to their entire galaxy. they probably have a lot more intel than you'd expect.

Badnik Cap 15 (Construction bonuses only) Your new territory is a mess, simple as that, the ruins if the black arms fortress and all the conflicts happening is just littering the place. That won't do at all. Time to give this place your personal touch
Rewards: Black arms territory is urbanized. Allows us to build factories, mines, and other infrastructure here.

We are going to need to do this before we can basically do anything else with our new territory. With the metal cost, depending on how much metal we get from this attack on us, we will only be able to concentrate on a very few actions that require metal. Since the raid to get our new territory only netted us a 100 metal, hopefully we get more than that from this attack.
