because afterwards...whats next? the Dog that caught the mailman, The Dog that Caught the Car...what does he do? stare at it and contemplate...or does he move on with his life and figure things out?
we might come up to that one day...but to kill a enemy, to utterly destroy them. Well in some cases thats for the better (black doom and such), and yet...sometimes having a Nemesis...a true Nemesis...one that sharpens you as you sharpen them?
well...in that one case...perhaps its better to step away from the line and not destroy something beautiful. We are Doctor Ivo "Eggman" Robotnick, Leader of the Eggman Empire! We shall create our empire, craft our dream of Eggman-land 3! Defeat our nemesis (even if we let them live...hmmm theres a omake idea...) and show those fools across the lands whos top dog on this kingdoms pile! Kindness and Power huh...well thats going to be intresting.
(reminds me that Eggman has created ADAM, MECHA (who was a framed by ADAM and was geuinely like a daughter to Eggman), Belle, SAGE, hmmm not sure who else would be considered his daughter...but man has a talent of creating artifical lifeforms that considering him their dad...that genius is trying to create a family where his own didnt care much for him or his abilities...heck at one point he even created a "Brother" for himself...)

Look if the Moon Haunted or carrying some elderitch monster then we can blow it up...having the solution to fix the damn moon after we blow it to smithereens is a good idea, considering how much life on earth needs it, and the fact it would result in a protagonist hero-rush against us!

At that point Eggman won't like to admit it, but he probably just cannot stand not having Sonic around to gloat to him.
Still gotta be careful with the memories we unlock, stuff like Archie Eggman could very well overwritte said control.

So all we have to do is that for this shattered memory roll the pass with a different character instead of any Archie characters, especially pre-reboot… especially that one. Doesn't help the DC is lowered by 10 due to meeting clove..

So we can never just meet Captain metal then… or our nephew… Or conquering storm….. There's lots of pre-reboot characters from Archie isn't there… by digress as long as we don't pass the DC, which is an 85 now lowered to 75 of past shadow memory roll failing… as long as we get a different iteration of eggman. say underground we're pretty good

Let's see, we have Belle, Sage, Metal Sonic, and in the future Mecha Robotnik, possibly Metal Selvaria as well.
Unfortunately I think only the first two can be worked on for now. Eggman and Metal Sonic haven't shown any sign of closeness with eachother, and Mecha Robotnik is yet to be found.
Though I am curious who will be other members if we do succeed in this achievement.
It might be one of those classic "kill an important character" things, I'm more worried about the "this is a regrettable action" achievement. I can't help but think these two are connected, but if that's the case, what choice is so bad that if we commit to it we "get what we deserve"?
I mean Eggman and Sonic have basically just turned their whole thing into a cycle:
Eggman makes a plan, Sonic realizes he's planning something, they fight, Sonic wins, eggman lives to plan again, and the cycle repeats.
They both have gotten used to it to the point where neither of them really try to kill the other even if they have the opportunity and everyone else that notices the cycle just thinks the two are insane. If I remember correctly, starline in the IDW comics noticed the cycle and tried to break it by creating surge and kit, which of course failed and led to him being physically beaten by the doctor and later on straight up dying.
Well…. I think if we upgrade metal sonic we could consider him as a child… but that runs the risk of another metal rebellion
Technically we can meet them, but we would either need to understand more the process or try to at least interact with said characters when the DC is as high as possible.
Again, I don't really see the reason as to the worries about our Archie self overriding our personality. If it happens more permanently than the usual couple minutes and the change becomes too apparant, Belle and the others will tell us about it, and I assume we will get some options to fix it. Something as big as changing our main character's personality won't just be thrust unto us without giving us a way out.
There's no reason to lock ourself from some decent options and paths just because of an overestimated problem.

First off the Achievements are amazing and I want to try and turn Eggman into the patriarch of an evil family. It'll be great. There's also some that I think are cool, but making Eggman a family man is the kind of Achievement I'm leaning toward. Secondly... I have a theory. A bit of a crackpot theory, but I'll post it anyway.

Also, I second what Kingster says. No need getting too worked up or riled up about the events that are coming our way. We'll roll with the punches the best we can. We should still try to be smart and proactive but, things will happen we haven't foreseen, and the dice may bless us or kick us in the balls. I just try to embrace the mentality that failure can tell a good story just as much, or better, than success.
Okay so... Isara is alive, when she should have been dead. We have a Shadow who's been taken over by Black Doom, and one of our heroes has the same disease that killed Maria, complete with an action where we develop an over-the-counter cure. Is it possible that Maria, as in Maria Robotnik, is alive somewhere? Don't answer obviously, it's a theory for a reason. The most screwed-up version would be if Black Doom was keeping her hostage to control Shadow, but he seemed pretty thoroughly "brainwashed" in the intermission. Would be an interesting twist for sure though...

Thinking about it, yeah, Shadow problem is probably a lot bigger due to one fact.
The black arms are a hivemind.
So just one evil version of him connecting to it is what probably has the good Shadow losing control of his body as no doubt they are probably overwhelming him in the mindscape.
Especially if Black Doom knows what is good for him.
If Shadow somehow gets out of his control, well Black Doom better go packing, cause the ultimate lifeform is just not going to let that one go by.

Play your best game and know that so far the dice have been loving ya'll. Your heroes have rolled well every time they've needed to so far except for Starline but I am personally convinced the dice can sense how much most of the QMs think he's a goober in the worst way so I don't really count him.

indeed, the day those two roll a nat 100...and somehow, someway, in some intresting manner...manage to do the impossible and actually have eggman mutter "they actually did it?" in a suprised manner and everyone just drops at what they are doing and looking at the news-feed...
Cubot and Orbot somehow manage to take the Eggman Empire (or at least started a chain reaction of comedy errors) that resulted in the reclamation of said empire.
(i would actually chew on one of my favorite hats if that happened)

Archie eggman isnt significantly worse then IDW eggman other then racking up a higher body count from his series running for longer flynn eggman is the joker basically regardless of continuity.

Are we 100% certain that this is a normal moon and not the Silver Moon from Skies of Arcadia? Because I promise you, there is a huge difference and Eggman would kick himself if the latter gets exploded without investigating things.
...I'm now concerned if the Moon Crystals exist in this mashup. They're another set of powerful macguffins that can wake up and control gigantic beings called Gigas that imo could potentially give the Titan bosses of Frontiers a run for their money, given how much destruction they're capable of. Not to mention the sheer scale of some of them.
More reason why I think all this concern about alternate personality override is overblown.
Anyways, regarding the achievements, specifically this one right here.
This is most likely refer to Tails, and because of that I think I'll change my hiring Chaotix vote from searching Maria to searching Sonic. Because I think using the Chaotix is the only way for us to gain this achievement currently.
The Chaotix assumeably did not know who is hiring them, at best they thought us to be a concerned citizen who want Sonic to come back and fix the situation as soon as possible, so they wouldn't be able to blab about us that would make Tails be apprehensive. With it, Tails is trusting enough to the Chaotix to the point he would tell them what's the deal with Sonic is and about their hidden faction, considering the last time we saw Tails and Amy they are searching for Sonic.
I need to look that up because that seems pretty cool and also I don't know giagas.
