Ride the Lightning (Worm / DC Comics Cross Over)

Would a lack of oxygen make him pass out, or would his ability to regenerate allow him to survive purely off of anaerobic metabolism?
I'd tend to bet on 'lack of oxygen no work' given he sets himself completely on fire to no apparent ill effect when Taylor fights him in canon. (the description of 'exploding' tends to imply he'd have little to no external oxygen.

I tend to agree. Which makes the whole vacuum vortex kind of funny.

"WHY YOU NOT WORKING?!?!?!"

From the PRT HQ, Clockblocker can be faintly heard.

"Bullshit!"

so when will taylor figure out some flash tricks and flight?

I have a pretty solid plan for the progression of abilities. Going with the most obvious first (moving fast enough not to be seen, information processing, etc). Later on will come wind vortexes, running up walls, etc. Well after that we might get running through walls and such. The wilder stuff (speed mirage, stealing and granting speed, etc) may or may not come up. Either way that would be late in the game.

Thanks for the corrections, implemented.

On the villain question.... not her intention. The water bottle and tape will be returned. Trespassing is something that happens when you are a vigilante. Of course if she ends up with the Wards that should settle down.[/QUOTE]

Actually that's another huge sign of her breaker state. Personal gravity field. After all, when moving flash seems to be affected by gravity as if it's still excreting the same force he would be expected if he were running at normal speed when he's going significantly faster. Otherwise he'd never be able to turn, each step would take him dozens of feet. Probably also explains how he can go up walls.

Repeat after me:

Speedforce is bullshit. Speedforce is bullshit. Speedforce. Is. Bullshit.

It's all that needs to be known, and it's all that's ever mattered. Love. Life. Et cetera.

She has already noticed that she seems to be immune to her own inertia. Her ability to go from a dead stop to full speed and to go from full speed to a dead stop was something she picked up on early.

Striker would be 1 or 2. Her punches have the proportional strength of a 14 year old girl.... for now

A 14 year old girl travelling at 300 miles per hour. Sir Isaac Newton is THE DEADLIEST SUNOVABITCH IN SPACE!

A couple of days ago I read almost 1500 pages of fiction in under 5 minutes. Standing here at the kitchen table, I could remember every word of it

I think I just figured out what Admin-chan's been up to. She's amping Taylor's memory so she can retain what she reads at superspeed. In the TV series, Barry can read a textbook to become an expert on a subject... for about half an hour, then his short-term memory empties out and he forgets most of it. Taylor doesn't seem to have that problem

Now PHO on the other hand will go have a field day as Velocity cries in a corner.

PHO pundit: "Presenting Velocity 2.0: Better, stronger, faster!"

I would like to introduce you all to Mr Pointy. To be used by Taylor rather then hand to hand like the Flash (Moron)

I don't really know why being a pimp is a crime ?

Depending on where you are at it can fall under human trafficking. There are also communities where the police put the emphasis on the Pimps and Johns as opposed to the girls. In this case I am attributing it to Taylor (shockingly) not being an expert in criminal law and assuming that all of the parts of the illegal act (prostitution) are equally culpable.

If I were a betting man, I would think that at some point she will get a stern talking to by someone in uniform and will make a point of committing local and state criminal statutes to memory.

Outside of the legal question though, it was in her best interest to move the (probably armed) man who was guarding the crime in progress.

Not sure those "busts" are exactly kosher. No overt crimes, or at least no evidence that'll hold up in court. The pimp didn't do anything overt and she moved him several blocks away. I seriously doubt either the hooker or the john will admit that money changed hands, and I seriously doubt that those drug dealers are stupid enough to braid their baggies into their hair, so they can probably claim the drugs were planted by the cape that tied them up. Taylor's not gonna be listed as a hero or crimefighter her first time out. Best case scenario, she gets listed as a super-prankster.

Exactly what I was going for. In this case she got impulsive. She ran around the city several times looking for obvious crimes to fight. Not seeing any, she parked herself in a high crime area and pounced on the first skeezy things she saw.

I award you +50 internets Sir and / or Ma'am!
