Yeah, see I'm thinking that maybe it was that guy rolling. Which would better explain why two successful incredibly difficult rolls did jack shit: they weren't rolling to get in, he was rolling to live.Renegade Sorceress is a roll-under system though (small dice = very gud) which means that the Storm Crows just rolled EXCEPTIONALLY well.
I've checked with Alectai, the rolls are made by the Crows.Yeah, see I'm thinking that maybe it was that guy rolling. Which would better explain why two successful incredibly difficult rolls did jack shit: they weren't rolling to get in, he was rolling to live.
The second one especially. If that was a success for the Crows, what would have been a failure?
Ah. Okay. In that case we were stupidly and unfairly lucky, even though we should have died by all rights thanks to dice.I've checked with Alectai, the rolls are made by the Crows.
That said, I'm not surprised about the lack of apparent progress made. This guy is a Fallen Angel. He has LWS Tier-2. He is quite possibly the single scariest melee combatant in the sector. The reason why Blake is chosen to melee duel him and pin him down is because he won't instantaneously melt within five seconds of engagement after Vixadis activates Zandatsu and spends his fuel gauge turning him into vapour.
To that end, despite the potential gains, the risk is pretty high. So:
Well, being me, I'll draw reference to the time Aurelius Asterion murdered an entire company of Chaos Space Marines while simultaneously killing a body-jumping Slaaneshi champion thirty two times, twenty of those times after running out of bolter ammunition and Invictus losing the 'power' part of 'Power Sword'.Ah. Okay. In that case we were stupidly and unfairly lucky, even though we should have died by all rights thanks to dice.
If that was success, what the hell would have been failure?

This is pointless, because it's explicit that if he goes down everyone else is screwed utterly.[] On the Edges

He's not wrong (Black Templar gene-seed in our mix), but I'd like to think that Perturabo's sons had an influence as well.and one currently bunkered down in the engineering decks and proving to be as stubborn as Dorn's get to be dislodged.
