Renegade Chapter Master Quest (WH40k Quest)

Hmm could we try to recapture that ork cruiser for favors with the navy ? Send the two new barges at it and a company?

Send heavy reinforcements to that ork thing , im thinking like maybe 2 regular companies and maybe the 1st company remnant or the scouts ?

and as a idea for the forge , what about building 4 or 5 dreadnaughts to have some spares since its a issue currently and we dont have direct needs right now outside this.

And please planners consider recruiting world setup actions . If we want to reconquer subsectors in the future we will need a rather extensive training pipeline even if we stay codex compliant compared to regular chapters since we will have enemys to fight and rather constant attrition , like 10% losses per commited company .

Maybe redeem that favor for 2 land raiders is another thought or maybe 8 artificers or terminator armors for our captains as they prefer could be a interesting idea to get maximum use of the favor we got since 1 escort is pretty useless atm.

Also you could in the future write up actions for forgeworld thor to farm favors with please in the future so thats a option , i suggest like a company is a minor favor , like 3 is a major and 5+ is honourbound as the general idea for the missions ?

I'd say send our Chapter Master to diplomance the Sororitas and a diplomatic mission to Forge World Odin, just off the top of my head.

Probably would be a good idea to try and send the chapter master, and an additional company to Galaborn. The sisters of battle could be interacted with, from the personal honourguard of the chapter, and the other companies can be split doing actions to either handle the low threats and also meet up with and try to see how the other forge worlds like us.

Edit: Oh, @Oshha ! You forgot to list the 6th company for turn 2.

Also Oshha if we want to send the chapter master or the master of the forge to a planet we are gonna need to send them on a free strike cruiser or a battle barge correct?

I'd personally suggest sending the Chapter master himself to forge world Odin, to cut off the Sector Lord's efforts by the legs, so to speak. We basically want to accrue enough favours and opinion with al other other factions of the sector while impeding his, until the moment we're ready to launch our coup d'état. That said, I'm fairly certain the forge world will side with us. Who would you pick really? The chapter master with a massive fleet on his side? Or the much weaker sector lord, who's word is much less trustworthy?

Well, the Sororitas are the only real potential rivals in power to our Chapter, especially since they have no limits on their numbers, unlike us, and directly control a sub-sector like we do. I'd like to get them on our side enthusiastically if possible, and having our Chapter Master meet them personally would go a long way towards that. I'd suggest sending our Master of the Forge to Odin, considering his success with Thor.

Yeah, that sounds good. Tech-maniacs think alike after all. Could we perhaps ask a delegation from forge world Thor to back us up? That seems like a good show of solidarity.

This isn't true. Lord Sector Reximus has influence across the entire sector in addition to his strong influence in the Odin Sub-Sector and the Vanaheim Valkyries are a formidable formation that haven't stopped recruiting even through they aren't committing regiments to the Imperial Guard anymore. Not to mention that the handful of escorts operated by the Order of the Sacred Storm are nothing compared to Battlefleet Odin.

Reximus is very much a peer to you. There is a reason you need to send multiple companies and warships to have a chance of defeating him.

Sorry, I meant long-term rivals, since we don't plan to leave Reximus in power but the Sororitas are probably not going anywhere.

You mean Thor, I believe, and that sounds like a good idea. Probably a free action.

We do need to address the psycher situation without them we can't navigate the warp or keep in communication with the rest of the sector and I don't think any of the Navigator Houses are base near our sector.

We also need to secure more allies as well to protect against the sector governor as well and to strike against him eventually.

Alright, here is my first draft of a plan.

[] Plan Favor Grinding to oust the Sector Lord
-[] Survey Worlds for candidacy to become future recruitment worlds
--[] Master of the Apothecarion: Bruce Boltson
-[] Look into Psyker Recruitment and Training solutions
--[]Chief Librarian: Steffen Strangeson
-[] Torvald and his Honour Guard.
--[] Dispatch to Forge World Odin on a diplomatic mission
-[] Send to Uninhabited World Kjede to investigate situation
--[] 1st Company and Battle Barge Ardent Storm
-[] Mining World Galarborn
--[] 2nd & 4th Companies, Battle Barge Might of Storms
-[] Guard Midgardia
--[] 7th Company

-[] Dispatch Master of Sanctity: Jannis Hopeson to Agri World Huvatki to convince them to modify their concerns
--[] 8th Company
-[] Agri World Akar
--[] 9th Company and Battle Barge Void Thunderer
-[] Mining World Malmur & Civilised World Sverd
--[] 10th Company
-[] Produce 2 Dreadnoughts (8 pts), 20 heavy Weapons (4 pts), 4 Rhinos (8 pts)

Edit:
This plan reaches out to Forge world Odin, begins the process of adding more recruitment worlds and trying to find a solution to the psyker issue.

Further it keeps blooding our Scouts with easier fights, stamps down on Xenos and heretical trade, reinforces Galarborn with hopefully enough forces to end the issue and dispatches forces to handle the other minor issues at hand.

Hmm, we could probably send a Strike Cruiser to Galarborn as well, or two of them maybe.
I'm tempted to suggest giving Thor a Honorbound Favor and placing a order for 2 Strike Cruisers now, but I'm not sure what the favors might entail.
?
We are sending two by default by sending the Companies.

The Strike Cruisers are are their rides unless we say otherwise.

Its the Battle Barges that we need to micro manage

[] Plan firefighter
-[] Free Actions
--[] Send master of Sanctity Jannis Hopeson and Master of the Apothecarion Bruce Boltson to Lorum to bring order to the planet and establish it as a recruiting word for the chapter
--[] Have Chief Librarian Steffen Strangeson Look into Psyker Recruitment and Training solutions
--[] Send master of the Forge Horwan Forgeson to Forge World Odin on a diplomatic mission to court the forge world to our side
-[] Deployment
--[] Civilised World Gunnerheim (Torvald and his Honour Guard using the second strike cruisers of the 10th company)
--[] Forge World Odin (9th company's strike cruiser)
--[] Mining World Galarborn (2nd Company, 9th company using Battle Barge Void Thunderer, Battle Barge Might of Storms)
--[] Uninhabited World Kjede (7th Company)
--[] Agri World Huvatki (10th company)
--[] Mining World Malmur & Civilised World Sverd (4th company)
--[] Agri World Akar (1st Company, 37 scouts from the 10th company (I want to use the 10th second strike cruiser for the chapter master), Battle Barge Ardent Storm)
--[] Midgardia (8th Company)
--[] Lorum (8th Company strike cruiser)

That's what I am thinking right now in terms of deployment and free actions, transportation is really an issue here, for example, both the agri world huvatki and uninhabited world kejde don't need a full company to deal with the problem and we could send half the company for them but we simply don't have the lift capacity and that's not even talking of all the ship swaps I had to do to be able to send each of the chapter master, the master of sanctity and the forgemaster to different planets, which is why I am thinking we have ask for a honorbound favor from forge world thor for 2 new strike cruiser. We are gonna need them in the future and each one is gonna take 2 turns to be completed just like for the geneseed we have to think for the future and we need those strike cruisers yesterday.

As for why Lorum instead of Jarn, it's cause it's closer to our homeworld (right next to it) and has recently experienced a war which could give us some good quality recruits and bring the world under our control at the same time.

Query: are there now 2 Storm Avengers? Are we both supposed to remain at half strength or are there 2 chapters of the same name?

I'd like to reinforce the 3rd Company with the 1st and the 9th, and rotate someone else into defensive duty.

[X] Plan: Consolidation

Free Actions
-[X] Take the planet Jarn as a recruiting world.
-[X] Expand the recruitment of Chapter serfs and establish a force of warrior serfs who can support the Chapter's companies in their operations.
-[X] Call for a conclave of the Chapter's Librarians on how to handle psyker recruitment and training.

Chapter Deployment
-[X] Midgardia (8th Company)
-[X] Galarborn (4th Company, 9th Company, 1st Company, Battle Barge Void Thunderer)
-[X] Akar (7th Company)
-[X] Malmur & Sverd (2nd Company, Battle Barge Ardent Storm)
-[X] Kjede (10th Company)
-[X] Odin (Torvald and his Honour Guard, Battle Barge Might of Storms)
--[X] Send a delegation led by Chapter Master Torvald to treat with the leadership of Forge World Odin to sway them to the side of the Chapter.

Production
-[X] 2 Dreadnoughts (8 points), 20 Heavy weapons (4 Points), 2 Predators (8 points)
