Truthfully, I doubt I'll be amused with either option. I just decided to go for the option that felt slightly less forced and repetitive. Think I just voted for the sake of voting this time.

Also, it kind of feels like the cast is getting a bit... "bloated"? To the point that I'm wondering if people are going to start fading into the background. Or whether that's a sign that people are going to start dropping. It does kind of feel like might be reaching that point.:V
Depends on how you look at it. Matsuko and Yuujin live in Shirome, so they won't be part of the main events as closely as the Northern Mitakihara Group. However, I'd encourage to take some time to really get things going on with them.

Anyone you befriend or lose within Northern Mitakihara from here on out is much more dependent on what you want to do, than what I have planned for you to do. However, given your track record so far (*cough*Hana*cough*), I suspect the cast in Northern Mitakihara will get some expansion in the future, even if I haven't planned for anyone as much as I have for the Kishi-Evelyn-Ariane-Mariko-??? axis.

Any friends you might make during your trips to outside world don't count :V.

"Uh, a-about that…" you scramble to explain yourself, trying to think of something, anything, to say in return.

Nothing particularly clever springs to mind at first. You don't really have any means to defend when you don't know for sure how much they know about those misunderstandings. You cross your arms into an x before your chest. "You've got it all wrong!" What can do you…?

...You can attack! You can still distract them! A weak, but sly smile appears on your face, as you begin to press back against the vile slander to your image and dignity. "O-oh, and like you're ones to talk!" you accuse them with an indignant huff.

"Oh, and would that be?" Matsuko asks you curiously, while Yuujin just shakes her head behind her and takes a seat on the larger couch, setting a bowl filled with the cookies from earlier on the table with the disposable mugs.

But that doesn't matter. Matsuko fell right into your trap! "Don't act like you don't know!" you exclaim dramatically, complete with an accusatory finger-point. "I happened to notice you two holding hands earlier!" Check-mate, you lewdsters. "And you seem to have grown a lot closer… So please do tell, what's going on here?"

"What's… going on?"
Matsuko asks you with a way too innocent-looking smile plastered on her face. The expression seems to have radiated to Yuujin as well, considering how she looks quite amused by your accusations. She lays her jugs of soda on the table and looks at you. "Really now, what's wrong with escorting a good friend over to another's? Surely you don't take issue with that?"

"T-that's not what I-"
you try to protest, but the words die in your throat before you can finish. You stay there, petrified as Matsuko does something you were not prepared for, and casually sits on Yuujin's lap.

"Really, that's not very nice of you, Tami~" Matsuko teases you as Yuujin gently wraps her arms around her abdomen.

"U-u-uh…" you stutter after a moment of stupefied silence. Your face is burning at the sight. Nothing in this world makes sense anymore. "I-I, uh…" How can they be so casual about something like… that? "Wh-what? Wh-why?"

"Oh, sorry, there's only room for one!"
Matsuko continues. "Maybe you could ask Ami, though? She would like the company!"

Your brain shuts down completely upon hearing that, and your entire body seems to deflate as you sway weakly. The world has officially gone bonkers… But at least it can't get worse-

"*sigh*, You're at it again…" Ami groans out loud as she enters the room with a bowl of popcorn held on her arms.

"At what?" Matsuko answers with another innocent look. "I most definitely don't understand what you're talking about, Ami."

"...Not going to get into this again,"
Ami mutters under her breath and sets down the bowl on the table. She turns to look at you apologetically. "It's okay, Tamiko, just try to ignore it. They are really into this sort of stuff."

"For the record, I resent that remark."

"Duly noted,"
Ami dryly remarks to Yuujin and moves to help you up. "Come on, watching the movie will help you wash down the lewd."

You nod weakly to her after a moment's pause to gather what remains of your wits, and take Ami's hand. She helps you to the other couch surrounding the table and presses the play button as she sits next to you. You throw one last look at Matsuko, now lying horizontally on the couch and Yuujin's lap, before turning back to the movie while leaning against Ami for support until you get over your shock. The screen flares to life and the lights in the room dim.

The movie begins, and your attention is glued to the screen. None of you dare to speak much, a silent agreement falling between you to not start a session of witty commentary, no matter how fun it would be. Though on the occasion, some of you quip about the events and sheer dumb awesomeness present there in the movie.

You're also somewhat happy that your friends seem to have dropped the kidnapped tangent. But that's secondary to the awe you feel about watching the movie.

Never before have you wanted to drive a big mecha before so much as you do now. Bonus point would be dispensed if said giant robot could travel to space while at it!

"Hmm, that certainly didn't disappoint!" Yuujin is the first to offer commentary once the movie is over. "I had kinda been thinking about watching it at some point, and I'm glad to have gotten the chance."

"Oh definitely!"
Matsuko pipes in, and changes her side so that she's laying on her back and looking at Yuujin. "What do you think? Could I punch as hard as those robots?"

"Probably not,"
Yuujin states flatly, even if she's smiling warmly. She received a playful jab to her arm for her trouble.

"It was a good movie, true," Ami admits, taking a quick sip from her cup. "I liked it, even if I'm not too fond of the genre." She turns to look at you. "What do you think, Tamiko?"

What do you think about the movie? It's just about everything Evelyn (and Mariko) promised! Dumb, awesome, amazing, incredible, brilliant… You could go on for that!

But maybe you should try being a bit more calm about your giddiness?

Should've taken the peanut gallery option :V. Tamiko's favorite scene was easily the one with GD slicing the kaiju apart in the space and then falling down like a meteor. Go look at the scene, and try to list everything that would delight Tamiko there!

Incidentally, I will have my last final tomorrow (HUZZAH!), which means that this day will still be part of the recent "no-updates-every-day-because-fuck-I-actually-need-to-pass-my-classes" period. After that, it's holidays!

You take a moment to catch your breath, heaving in a few, deep inhales. This is not the place to start gushing out every single descriptive thing you can think of. Perhaps someone might tell you that the movie has no artistic value, or something like that, but to you something like this is how movies should be.

Fun and exciting!

"I liked it a lot!" Understatement of the century. "I mean, it got everything I was expecting from what I've heard. Giant monsters. Giant robots. Giant robots punching giant monsters in their giant faces with their giant fists."

You flash your friends a toothy grin. "I mean, what else can a girl hope for? Well, besides combining said plasma cannon with the sword…" Maybe in a potential sequel? You should probably also show the movie to Kishi at some point! "But that's beside the point. The world needs more movies like this!"

"Most definitely,"
Matsuko agrees from the lap of Yuujin, a sight you do your best to ignore in favor of her words. "I didn't expect them to actually have some characters speak actual Japanese. It was a really nice touch."

"Maybe they should have just dubbed it, though,"
you suggest. "Would have saved the hassle, right? Well… it's not like the subtitles were bad, though..." You sheepishly mumble out the last part.

"Dubs are almost always worse than the originals," Yuujin declares in response, sounding more firm than you thought possible for her. "The only exception is when the original is so bad that the level of the dub drops below zero and loops right back to the top."

"What Yuyu here means to say,"
Matsuko begins. "...Is that the subs were good and the movie was better off for using different languages like that. Right?"

"...More or less?"
Yuujin shrugs with a light smile.

"I will have to concur," Ami says. "Keeping the original language, and then giving it subtitles works the best from what I've seen, especially in movies like this."

"Not going to deny that,"
you allow. "But it was a great movie, and we're all in agreement in about that?"

"Yup."

"Definitely!"

"Maybe not great, but good."

"Ignoring the obviously wrong answer..."
you poke Ami teasingly. "Guess we're in agreement then!" You didn't expect anything less. "But uh, what next? Do we continue with more movies? We could also go to the arcade or play some video games here?"

"I'm afraid we don't have any consoles,"
Ami tells you. "And since my family will be coming back soon, going out somewhere would be nice if we want to continue without interruptions."

"Ooh, is the old arcade still there?"
Matsuko asks, sounding quite eager.

"No, I'm afraid. But there's another very good one in the town that we could visit," Ami explains. "It's pretty far into the city, though, so most of our time would be spent going there and back…"

Matsuko and Yuujin share looks with each other for a moment, before the former gives you and Ami a pleased look. "Don't worry about that, Ami dear, I'll take us there. Just get your coats and other stuff ready, and we're moving out!"

"Uh, really?"
Ami asks unsurely, but doesn't get to expand on that before Yuujin intercepts her.

"Yeah, she does this all the time. Let's just clean up after ourselves now, alright?"

Ami nods hesitantly and rises up from the couch with the rest of you in tow. You quickly gather up the excess snacks and dishes, taking them away. Only Matsuko stays there, flipping out her phone and starting to look for the arcade's location and pictures. You'd ask her to help, but the concentration on her face tells you to let it be.

The rest of you gather up your stuff faster after cleaning up the table, and move to wait for Matsuko. Once she sees that you're present, she hops up with a very wide grin on her face.

A bright green light fills the room, and you're left gazing at the emerald outfit of your old friend. Compared to other uniforms you've seen, hers is quite sporty with the tight shorts and streamlined top covering her torso, having rather minimal, but surprisingly effective embroidery upon them.

The most curious feature in the uniform, however, would be her metallic and half-mechanical looking long boots and gauntlets running up her arm. They are quite sleek in their style, easily fitting onto the girl's frame, but yet give the impression that a single hit from there would hurt more than getting hit by a truck.

"Alright, everyone ready for the Matsuko-express?" she announces jovially, clenching her left fist in front of you. She doesn't even bother to hear your answers before continuing. "Great, let's get moving."

What happens next leaves you utterly baffled, seeing as Matsuko punches the air around you faster than your eyes can even track. There is a sound like that of a great wall of glass shattering all at once, and within the span of a fraction of a second, the world seems to break into little pieces that vanish out of your sight.

You find yourself standing behind a construction yard fence, surrounded by familiar skyscrapers of Northern Mitakihara. Based on their locations around you, it's not difficult to guess you're very close to the arcade building. All in an instant

"It was quite difficult to find a secluded spot, didn't want to scare anyone by accident after all!" Matsuko notes and de-transforms, giving you all a happy smile. "Everyone feeling fine?"

Nobody complains in reponse, but you're left wondering just what happened there. It started so suddenly and was over too soon to comprehend anything besides things breaking down around you. Ami seems to agree, looking quite baffled and confused, whereas Yuujin doesn't appear to be bothered at all.

What do you do?
