I think that's perhaps a few too many museums. It could take anywhere from an hour to the whole morning just going through one. Not also including transporation.

Sometimes it takes most of the day, come to think of it.

As a historian and someone who visits(ed) museums for vacations, I am completely OK with this.

Keep in mind, though, that Auntcle mostly cooks and deals with more Western dishes. This isn't the first time she's made pancakes for Tamiko either :V.
First time I've noticed while the Japanese pancakes tidbit was at the top of my head.
But yeah, western breakfast makes sense.

Alright, the plan is set and votes are closed!

However, since this plan is literally almost your entire day, it'll be divided up to a couple of updates which will each be expanded upon in turn. A lot can happen during some visit to make you think of something you want to do there, after all. :V

"Alright, let's bring out the map!" you yell at your friends and motion for them to gather around you by pumping your fist into the air again. Only Evelyn delays it, and instead brings out her backpack to dig out the map of Mitakihara City, which she rolls open presents to all of you with a big grin.

"Okay, since Mariko wasn't there when we planned this out, we'll show you the abridged version," you say and nod to your friend. "Oh, and if it seems a long one, trust me, we cut a lot out to manage!"

"Now, as you can see we're currently at the Eastern end of Central Mitakihara Park… Or the big green area here!"
Evelyn picks up from you and slowly starts moving her finger across the map to point out your route. "We picked up the most important parts of the park to go through and we'll keep to the Northern side of it."

Mariko nods along to it, her gaze carefully following Evelyn's presentation. "So… A hedge maze and that big pond chain?"

"They're not just ponds!"
Ariane protests immediately. "The entire area is kept artificially warm the whole Winter for birdies! You can even feed them!"

"She really wanted to try it out,"
Evelyn explains and you sigh quietly in the background. That there is a major understatement. "But we digress. After that, we'll move through the open door architecture areas near the North-Western end and head to one of the museums there for a couple of hours."

"A-after that we'll cross the railway and eat some dinner at the burger stop on the side of the city,"
Kishi picks up, poking a point on the map.

"And then we have some good time to visit shops downtown!" you continue with a bright smile, drawing some circles around the area Kishi touched.

"And finally, we'll end up near the river at a cafe," Evelyn sums it up and rolls up the map. "That's the entire plan, I think! Any questions?"

"...Not really,"
Mariko says with a slow nod.

"Great, let's get going then, everyone!"

===

"You know, it really is awfully warm here," you note while you watch the gentle waves ripples across the huge pond, spreading from the flying and landing waterfowls. In fact, the entire nearby area is quite warm from the pipes running barely below the ground. You've had to remove your thick coat and tie it around your waist to not start sweating here.

"Y-yeah, the planners went all out on this place," Kishi answers you with an affirmative nod as she throws another handful of breadcrumbs to the birds circling you. She's leaning carefully against your side at the same time.

You suspect she's probably trying to save some space for the rest of your friends.

"Why would they put so much money on it, though? Keeping this place heated the entire Winter must be expensive," you continue, picking another handful of crumbs from the shared bag and carefully aim them at a pair of mallards wobbling at the side. The birds practically pounce to pick them up, drawing a happy giggle from you.

"I-I've heard that Mitakihara University was heavily involved," Kishi says, sounding somewhat speculative. "But I don't know anything more than that."

"Hmm, well, it's really beautiful all the same,"
you admit, taking a look at the sight before you. You're currently sitting near the central pond of the chain, a roughly circle-shaped area the size of a city block. Several small stream and channels run between it and the smaller ponds, each one lukewarm.

You can hear the rushing sounds from the small artificial rapids and waterfalls built between them. The singing of the smaller birds hidden among the trees is incessant and the quacking of the waterfowls spread around the area fills your sense of hearing.

It's a really beautiful place.

You also catch each of your friends doing their business. Mariko seems to have used the crumbs to attract some smaller birds to her, keeping several of them in a row on her outstretched arm. Evelyn is standing next to her, apparently being lectured on how to do that.

She's having some success with it too, seeing as one bird already trusts her enough to eat from her hand.

Ariane on the other hand…

"G-guys? A little help, please?" she cries out with a panic-stricken voice.

You sigh at the sight of the girl, completely surrounded by a horde of birds aiming for the pair of breadcrumb bags on her arms. With so many birds pressing against her feet, she can't even move away from there without kicking the birds in the process. She's desperately trying to keep the bags out of their reach but some opportunistic one attempt to make her drop them by flying past her.

"D-do you think we should help her," Kishi asks, sounding almost reluctant.

You close your eyes for a moment and nod with a sigh. "Let's go."

===

"I swear we've been through here before," you mutter and twist the small map you're holding around for answers that refuse to come. "Maybe if we had turned left three t-sections ago…"

"Just admit it… We're lost, aren't we?"

"N-no… What even makes you say that, Evelyn?"
you nervously shoot at the girl.

"Hmm, let's see here… We've literally been through this particular part of the maze thrice now, for one thing?" Evelyn tells you with a raised eyebrow.

"O-oh yeah? W-well, how would you know?" you weakly protest with a pivot question.

"Maybe by checking all the signs stuck at the corners that show where we are at the moment?"

You blink and take a look around. True enough, you can see some signs down the path, and they seem to contain something that look like maps. You turn back to look at Evelyn and rub your neck awkwardly. An embarrassed chuckle escapes your lips, a sheepish grin forming on your face.

"Ehe he he… heh... Whoops?"

Evelyn sighs. "Just give me the map. I think the others have already made it to the other end."

===

"Whoa! I didn't know you built castles here!" Ariane exclaims in wonder as she leans against the railing overseeing another pond. Her phone is held out, ready to take a picture of the castle-like structure emerging from the rising bare rock on the other side of the frozen pond.

It really is a nice sight on the other side in your opinion too, seeing the small corner tower with conical cap and the modest parapet walls continuing from it to your right. Though you know there are far larger castles even in this very country, albeit with different architecture to this more Western-style one, you certainly wouldn't mind visiting it for the atmosphere.

"T-that one's actually just a folly," Kishi explains from your side. "I-it's not an actual castle, but an imitation of one, b-built solely for decoration purposes."

"Yup. And I think I've seen something similar before,"
Evelyn says, looking at the building with a speculative expression.

"Aww…" Ariane groans and pouts. "I still like it, though."

===

"You know, this part of the park is almost like out of dreams," Mariko observes as you enter the last area of your tour through the park. All around you, a few elegant-looking structures and numerous colorful sculptures line the twisting and meandering paths shadowed by the tall trees around you.

"W-well, it's a decades-long project by scores of art students from the city. I-it has had a lot of time to accumulate these works," Kishi explains.

"...Is it just me, or do the gate-buildings look a lot like gingerbread houses?" you ask out of the blue and point your finger at a pair of buildings before you.

"Well, now I can't unsee it," Evelyn announces with a chuckle. "They really do look like gingerbread houses."

"I wonder if you can actually eat them…"
Ariane speculates airily, her thoughts having wandered off a while ago.

"..."

===

"Huh, looks like we've reached the Mitakihara Museum of History already," Evelyn notes as she looks at the gigantic white complex shaped like spiral, surrounded by multi-story buildings. "Just in time too! We have a few hours to go through it"

You can see scores of people march in and out of the entrance doors beneath the spiral. While it's no rush hour, the place is obviously quite popular even during the Winter. Then again, not too far away to the North is the commercial center of the city, so some people are bound to find their way here when touring Mitakihara.

"Well, what are we waiting for? Let's go!" you announce.

"Uh, I-I don't…"

"You're coming too, Mariko! Come on, I'll get you the ticket,"
Ariane says, predicting the other girl's words.

"...T-thanks," Mariko manages to mutter, her face reddening.

The Museum part is next. You're given some narrative control here to decide the main exhibits of the museum as you see fit. As long as it has something to do with history, no matter how strange, it should be fine.

Bonus points to anyone who figures all the RL places copied to Mitakihara :V
