"It's fine, don't fret about it," you rush to reassure Evelyn, "But uh… I think we could go talk with that quiet girl?" Slow and steady, at your own pace… You shouldn't rush into talking with the bigger student groups, when the thought of speaking to your classmates is enough to make you a nervous wreck. A single girl is enough for now.

Although, the fact that she is sitting there without any company might also have affected your decision to some degree.

"Alright, haul your butt off your seat, we're moving in! Course towards Hana, all hands on deck," Evelyn announces and stands up from her seat, and you follow her lead after a second's hesitation. She flashes you a quick grin, before she grabs your hand and almost literally drags you to the girl sitting near the front of the class.

Outwardly, Hana is a girl around your height. Her school uniform is kept in a visibly pristine condition and her long, black hair is neatly brushed behind her. Writing utensils are laid neatly across her desk with a single closes notebook right before her. Her dark green eyes are aimed at the teacher's desk, but the gaze is unfocused and distant, tired even.

The girl doesn't seem to care much about what is going on around her.
You are no exception.
You don't get to say much, however, as Evelyn coughs to get the girl's attention. "Hi Hana! Are you busy at the moment?"

The girl blinks and turns to face you. Your breath skips a beat, and all of sudden you feel like running away. This is a terrible idea, why did you agree to this? You can't do this, you can't- "No, miss Girard, I do not have anything particularly important to do right now."

Please, don't- "Great! My friend Tamiko here wanted to get to know you better, so I hope it isn't too much of a bother if we sit down here until the teacher comes."

Hana remains silent, her expression becoming quite confused. Evelyn on her part seems to find the expression puzzling and starts to frown heavily, "Hana? Is there something wrong?"

You squeeze Evelyn's hand tight, partly to get her attention away from the conversation long enough for her to stop the talking, partly to reassure yourself that she is still there. It seems to work too, as she turns to look at you quizzically.

You shake your head slightly and bite your lips in apprehension: there doesn't seem to be a good way out at this point. "I-it's okay, I can handle this." You can only jump in and pray for the best now.

You turn to look at the confused girl, not letting go of your friend's hand for even a moment as you stammer out, "H-hi, I'm Higekino Tamiko, n-nice to meet you!" That was pathetic, you need to focus! You need to think of her as a completely new person... "Can I ask for your name? I-I've seen you around before, but we've never talked before."

You watch with almost morbid fascination as the girl's eyes gloss over and her body stiffens. It's not the first time you've witnessed this, but it's still almost unsettling to watch. Evelyn seems to agree with that as you feel her grasp on your hand tightening all of sudden.

But as the effect ends, the girl blinks and turns to look at you. "My apologies, I didn't notice you there, miss..." she says with a polite nod, but stops at your name, "Hmm, could you repeat your name, please? I didn't quite catch it. My name is Hana, by the way, Kotone Hana."

You let out a breath you didn't even realize you were holding and smile slightly. The girl doesn't seem to be averse to a conversation. But a simple sideways glance reveals that Evelyn is quite tense and confused. You might need to explain things to her very soon...

What do you do?

[] Talk more with Hana.

[] Excuse yourself and move somewhere more private to talk things through with Evelyn.

[] Write-in.

Well, we're there now.

Course towards Hana, all hands on deck,
So Hana's her name...
Outwardly, Hana is a girl around your height. Her school uniform is kept in a visibly pristine condition and her long, black hair is neatly brushed behind her.
Yes, yes, yes, yes, YES, YES, YES...
Her dark green eyes are aimed at the teacher's desk, but the gaze is unfocused and distant, tired even.
FUCK!
Damn it, I was hoping that however unlikely it is, it'd be Homu-Homu.

Whelp. Evelyn, and probably everyone else, is getting an explanation at lunch.

[x] Talk more with Hana.

Do we want to specify a topic or anything? Tamiko on auto-pilot might have a rough time coming up with something to talk about. We do have Evelyn, but it'd be nice if we're able to contribute, too.

We don't. We brought Evelyn so that she realizes she can do something for us without the need of wishes. If we become vulnerable, she gets a chance to prove to herself that she isn't useless.

Well, topics would make things a lot smoother here, but they aren't strictly necessary if you can't think of anything to say. But I think you're underestimating just how shaken Evelyn was from seeing how the curse is lifted from a person first-hand.

For Hana, it's probably as if an invisible ghost decided to make an appearance.

--[x] What subjects do you like in school?
--[x] What do you like outside of school (interests)?

I'm bad at making conversation, but this might still be an improvement of what Tamiko will manage. Feel free to do a better job of this, I'll vote for anything that gives topics.
