I'm in agreement with Whiskers. We've established so many embarrassing traits in poor Tamiko that we're likely guaranteed to have social shenanigans for the rest of the quest. :lol

That in mind, I'd rather do something like:
[x] Pick a group to talk with (write-in how you approach and talk with them)
-[x] The lone girl
--[x] Hey, I'm Tamiko, nice to meet you. What's your name? I've seen you around, but we've never talked. (if she tries to dodge conversation, try to keep her engaged with more questions!)

Granted, I'm not so great at small talk or introductions myself, but I'd prefer we don't write-in our own slip-ups when, from the way we've established Tamiko, we might get them anyway. Also, Tamiko seemed rather distressed by Ami's calling her Tamimoe, so I don't think she'd just go and accidentally call herself that for any reason than our OOC enjoyment (not that that's a small factor in this quest).

Maybe I'm used to seeing such things as not... how do I put this, genuine distress, but OK.

You know, the whole point of us getting to know our classmates is so that Tamiko has some semblance of a normal life, but the main reason I voted for the lone girl, besides wanting to be a good person, is that she's potential contract bait I'd like to keep our eyes on so she doesn't end up dying.

That goes against want our Uncle wants so should we even go through with it?

It doesn't prevent us from making contact with other social groups, thus going with Unclie's wishes, so yes.

I'd pick the lone girl because it seems in character. Uncle advised us to take it slow and Tamiko is having a bout of nervousness. I feel she'd have a hard time dealing with groups, especially ones she's never talked to before.

A difference in interpretation, I guess. What I got from our conversation with Auntcle was "Make some normal friends so you have an anchor to your normal, civilian life" so meeting someone who's contract bait seems counter to that.

Point, but that's why we have Evelyn with us in the first place. By being vulnerable, we give Evelyn a chance to shine and prove to herself that she can and does do a lot of things for us. That'll boost her confidence.

But yeah, I agree meeting the groups right now is going too fast. Conceded.

Might want to remove this part. A bit too pushy there. Let Evelyn handle it when we fail *gasp* our social.

I suppose a bout of nervousness is one way to put it. Though Tamiko is not exactly the smoothest person when it comes to meeting new people, it's a lot more difficult here with people she should technically know already. The problem is that the girl has, consciously or not, been trying to write her classmates off as not existing to preserve her own sanity. And that effort isn't going to be undone without a hitch, even with the breaking of the curse.

I guess that rules out one group.:V

Don't really have time to vote. I would seriously advise against doing the typical "purposefully embarrassing Tamiko for funsies" vote. This is so not the times for that sort of crap, considering what this involves and Tamiko's history.
Why? Tamiko is distracted and agressified by embarrassment. Being angry is actually a good way to deal with fear, and being silly in a self effacing way is good for breaking the ice.

Like I think you are taking her surface level narrative of being super embarrassed way too seriously. That would be like thinking my brother really hates my dad making puns, and isn't basicly making it up because it's fun to be angry about something unimportant.

So doing this with an almost complete unknown stranger in a highly stressful situation is equivalent to doing it with someone you are close to and feel very comfortable with then?

Depending on the personalities involved and what it involves then it could work. So go ahead if you think you can do it.

Being totally sincere here despite my misgivings, btw. If you think it will honestly help here then go for it. Only got indignant because I misunderstood intentions behind initial vote.

I am really interested in how the teacher will react, because that nothing about Tamiko's situation is normal. And I am really hoping we'll get a side story of Uncle figuring out that there was a curse.
