[x] I will tell you face to face. It's not something that can be explained through phone...
-[x] After school
You sigh once more to try and banish the suddenly welling feeling of anxiousness. It took a lot to actually bring yourself to say these things in the first place, and now it turns out that continuing the conversation is not as easy as you had imagined. But going back is no longer an option, so you must simply steel yourself and trudge forward.
"I-it's kind of complicated," you say, trying your best to fight down the nervous stutter threatening to turn your speech into a gibbering mess, "and it's not something that can be explained through a phone either. So I… I-I will tell you everything, face to face. Is tomorrow after school a bad time?"
"Umm, it's not bad time by itself?" Ami manages to let out, sounding almost agitated about this whole thing. You get the impression that she is desperately fighting down a lot of unwanted feelings and words, "But, Tamiko, I'm… concerned about you. What is going on? Why are you so secretive about this?"
She also seems… hurt? No… Afraid?
"S-sorry about all of this, Ami," you try soothing the girl, "I am not intending to be secretive. But this is one of those things better talked… shown face to face rather than through a phone. So please, just be patient. I promise it will all make sense, please trust me about this."
There is a silent pause on the other end of the line as Ami takes in your words. For a moment you are concerned that has closed the call, but your worries are proven unfounded when you hear her let out a trembling sigh, "I guess? It's just… I don't even know what to think or do here anymore."
What do you do?
[] Talk more with Ami.

Unless you wish to continue the conversation further, I recommend adding some terms for ending the call.
