The Mechanics post has now been updated a bit. Mariko's page was moved to the main group, and both her ability list and description were updated a little. I will probably do the add-ons to the timeline during the weekend.

Well, I doubt there's going to be any competitive votes at this point, so... Votes closed!

Man, this is probably going to be the shortest update since forever :V

Chapter 2 - Take a break 23
[X] What. How. Why. When.

As you try to figure out what to say to the unexpected news, your minds seems to draw a complete blank. What can you even hope to say to such a thing? It's been years since you've last met or even talked to Yuujin and Matsuko, you don't even know how they've grown and changed over the time!

As such, the mere thought of the girls you grew up with hitting it with each other… Your brain simply refuses to process the news. "What? How? Why? When?" you manage wheeze out to contribute your personal insight into the matter. You like to think that's good enough, considering the utter shock you're feeling.

Sounds of unhindered giggling can be heard from the other end of the call, as Ami takes in your reaction. It takes a moment for her to gather herself enough to actually answer you back without bursting into another fit of hysterical laughter, "Oh, Tamiko… You're too moe for your own good."

Perhaps if you were not trying to recover from the bombshell she just dropped, you might have protested Ami's words more. But as it stands, you make do with what shreds of coherency you have. "I-it's not that funny!" you whine to the phone, "B-but… How? When?"

"Oh, you…"
Ami sighs amusedly before starting to explain it to you, "Well, they didn't actually admit to anything substantial, really…"

So it was all just an evil trick!?

"...But one does not simply hold another person like that when sitting, or even talk like that without something going on between them!" Ami declares, "They were very fond on the hugging front too."

Isn't that just something friends do with each other?

"Still, they changed the subject whenever I tried asking them about it. Quite sneaky of them…" the girl continues her long explanation. However, she stops for a moment all of sudden, seeming like she is trying to think of something. "Although, there was something that left me bothered afterwards…"

She sounds surprisingly serious and somber about whatever it is that's on her mind. You gulp, having calmed down enough to having remembered how to properly talk again. "Wh-what do you mean? Did something happen?"

"Not really, it's just that…"
Ami trails off, clearly bothered, "Please don't take this the wrong way… But when I brought up all the things we did in the past, it seemed like they didn't remember you at all, even when I said your name. Despite Yuujin and Matsuko going to Shirome instead of the International Middle School, I don't think two years of separation is enough to completely forget that much."

What do you do?

[] Well, Ami herself had forgotten you before, she shouldn't worry. It was probably nothing.

[] "...Do you believe in magic?"

[] Make good of your promise and suggest a visit to hers for this week.

[] Pick up another topic for talking.

[] End the call. And face the talk with your uncle.

[] Write-in.

The experience of trying to talk about Tamiko to someone not exempted from the curse... it's pretty freaky if they're unaware of the curse's existence.

[x] "That's... Well, it's not fine but it will be. I'm sure they'll remember after we meet up in person."

[x] Do you want a believable lie, or the unbelievable truth?

Bad decisions train goooooo!
