[X] How are you going to train me? There's no such thing as a magical boy, right?
That is an accurate statement, all things considered… But for all the questions going on in your head, your thoughts keep returning to a single specific thing. Namely, how is he even going to train you? Sure, your uncle is probably a badass, having wrestled down a gunman week ago if what he said is true… But training a Magical Girl? I there even such a thing as a Magical Boy.
The idea feels absurd to you… But what do you even know, really? You're still a beginner, so maybe there's more to the world of magic. However, you don't get to voice your confusion as you are interrupted by the sound of the doorbell ringing, the chiming sound echoing among the walls of the quiet apartment.
You uncle jumps up from the bed and looks at you.
"I'll go check this out real quick and continue this talk afterwards. It's probably nothing, but it's rude to leave people without a response."
He turns around and marches out of your room, muttering on his way,
"Seriously, who could it be at this time…"
You keep waiting quietly on your bed, thinking about what you have talked with your uncle while he is busy talking to someone at the door. You can't make out the quiet voices in the entryway, but it doesn't seem to be a very quick conversation.
You sigh warily. This is a lot to take in… for both of you. But considering how this has been going so far, it is probably a fair assumption that it's for the better. You now have help for your training and don't have to hide anything from your uncle. Maybe if he let go of his evil shipping, it would all be-
"T-Tamiko…" a familiar voice stutters from the door to your room and you turn to look at the familiar face of Kishi.
She is standing there, hands held in fists on the level of her chin. She is clearly nervous about something, but is forcing herself to stand there with a slightly shaking body and quivering voice. She is kind of cute like that-
You shake your head and smile welcomingly at Kishi as you stand up to greet her properly,
"Oh, Kishi! I didn't know you were coming! Um… w-why are you up here so late, anyways?"
The girl gulps visibly and starts to stutter out,
"Uh… I-I was out t-training at first, but… I-I thought I should come see y-you… I-I"
She averts her gaze for a second,
"C-can we sit down? I-I need to tell you s-something… I-it's kind of… w-well, very important…"
Huh? Well, if she says so. You motion for her to join you on your bed where you crash down again to sit next to each other. Your uncle is nowhere to seen, and the only sounds in the room are our breaths. Kishi is staring at her knees, but doesn't seem to be willing to say anything yet. She looks absolutely huggable like that...
You bite your lips to stop that train of thoughts. Your uncle is clearly getting to you by staying silent and sneaky. Well, you aren't going to give him that benefit! And maybe Kishi would open up more easily if you started to speak first.
"S-so, um… Uncle kind of knows about Magical Girls," you start and immediately chide yourself for the topic. While this is important, your uncle is the last things Kishi needs to hear about,
"S-sorry, but I couldn't keep the secret…"
Kishi looks up at you and slowly shakes her head,
"I-it's okay, Tamiko…. I-it was inevitable…"
You sigh in relief at the good news, but don't get to say anything as Kishi pulls you into a warm and close hug with herself all of sudden. She looks up at your eyes from her position, looking almost fearful with the shaking brown eyes. Yet, there is glimmer of hope in them, one that shines through her fear like a star.
"T-Tamiko… I-I realized… t-that I need to say this, need to say this now rather than later…" she whispers to you,
"I-I can't just let it remain as hopes and dreams… I-I want it to be real!"
Both of you gulp from nervousness.
"T-Tamiko… I-I like you… I-I like you really much…. Y-you're just so b-beautiful, and brave, and kind…" she tells you with constantly increasing voice, leaving you stunned in your position. That is what you think of her, so why is she telling you it's the other way around?
"K-Kishi… W-what do you mean you like me? I-isn't that what f-friends do?" you ask, despite deep down already knowing the answer. Kishi shakes her head and presses the side of her face against your neck.
"Y-yes… B-but this is not just it… T-Tamiko, I really, really like you… I-I like you so much…" she tells you,
"S-so I want us to be together… T-Tamiko… I-I… I-I…"
Kishi turns her eyes back to yours, and you can see her determination rise up to soaring new heights.
"Tamiko, I love you!" she screams directly at you, and leaving your brain a mess.
What is she telling you? Why is she doing this now of all times? When has this even become a thing? Where did she get the idea to do this?
But inside, your heart is racing as it really dawns on you what she means. You can understand that feeling, and perhaps you've just been in denial about such this. But seeing your best friend looking at you like that, with a fearful and uncertain smile as she waits for your response... with wide, pleading eyes asking you to return the feeling... With her hands holding you in a lock...
It is like a dream come true... And maybe it is time to tell her how you see her in turn...
What do you do?
