[x] How is your uncle going to train you? There's no such thing as a magical boy, right?
[x] Ask why nobody ever told you about all this. It's a big thing to not know about your own mother.
- [x] ...does Kimiko know?
[x] Wait, so two of your mother's friends were 'a thing'? Like...
- [x] Try to ignore the sudden and inexplicably detailed daydream about Kishi confessing her love to you. She doesn't really feel that way.
-- [x] ...does she?
You nod slowly at your uncle, but rather than ask them immediately you turn to look back at the picture in your hands and the people shown in it. You frown deeply as you stare at the girls, all so you and happy with each other. A picture may tell more than a thousand words… but the photo is still just a small clue to the life they had.
You keep asking yourself questions… What were they really like in real life? How did they meet? It is like staring at an entirely different world and time, one with its own stories. To hear that your mother was part of that… you are left wondering just why you have never heard of this before?
"U-uncle, why… Why has nobody ever told me about this?" you ask the man with weak voice,
"D-does K-Kimiko know?"
"I don't think so… Well, I haven't really told her, and I don't really know anyone who might have," Your uncle tells you first before he sighs contemplatively while scratching his head in apprehension,
"But it was mostly your mother's idea to not tell you two about that. About the world of Magical Girls."
"B-but why?" you ask him and he gives you a very serious look, something you haven't seen from him often.
"She wanted to keep you two safe and happy," he states bluntly,
"While it might seem like a good deal, getting a wish and all, being a Magical Girl is a dangerous and extremely lethal profession. She cared about you and didn't want to lose you two, so she tried to make sure you wouldn't become Magical Girls yourselves."
He chuckles at the last part,
"Well, but here we are… Although, honestly, all things considered, you were probably very much justified in making your wish."
You turn to look away from your uncle and at the picture, the thoughts of your late mother too much for you to handle at the moment. As such, you try to distract yourself by looking at the other girls at the picture, and can't help but wonder about the blue and orange ones: Ayame and Megumi.
Those two were apparently a 'thing'... and your uncle had mentioned something about the majority of a group he knew being lesbian when he hadn't yet moved back in… You drift into your thoughts the more you think about it. Your uncle seems to have used those two as his bae about his observations on your (non-existent) relationship with...
'Tamiko, I love you!'
Your face explodes into a radiant blush at the sudden, lewd thoughts and images assaulting your mind. You have to shake your head furiously to dispel the thoughts and vividly detailed daydreams about Kishi confessing her love to you. Where had that even come from!?
...Your uncle's teasing must be getting to you already, that is probably it. There's no way Kishi would feel that way about you… Right? Yeah, as if…
As if anyone could love someone like you.
You turn your attention back at your uncle to distract yourself from your previous distraction. There was another thing that has been bothering you somewhat, and it is also something you would like answered.
"A-anyhow… U-uncle, how are you even going to train me? T-there's no such thing as a Magical Boy, right?" you ask him carefully, trying to avoid any sudden but hilarious thoughts of your uncle in Kishi's skirt or Ariane's dress.
He snorts in response, looking clearly amused at your questions,
"No, it's a girls only club, rest assured. But well, I'm hoping to figure out your powerset first since you didn't seem to have a too good idea yourself… And then teach you more about this wonderful and amazing skill I like to consider my specialty."
An amused smirk spreads on your uncle's face as he looks you straight in your eyes,
"It is called dodging... I dearly hope you have heard something about it? It's all in the basics."
Well, you suppose better dodging skills would be welcome. You are seriously worrying Kishi sick the way your battles have gone so far, and avoiding attacks better might alleviate at least some of her concerns for your safety.
...That said, your uncle is still missing the point here!
What do you do?
