I still like the idea of looking at Seraph for a delta variant, but without a plan right now I'd save the money.

I'm a little confused by not Delta-ing Zeno. We're almost certainly going to do this at some point, no? Why not get it done now, and have the resource to work with in future planning?

Because we are currently doing a plan where we are above what we have in income and we already spend 4k and are likely to go to 7-8k or higher even before going to a single mission? We can delta any power once we go do a Prometheus turn, but we are already playing with fire with the plan. Better not add gasoline on top of it.

Because we are always going to have it for future planning as Deltaing samples occurs before any builds are decided on. And given most Deltas we likely know what we're after from the sample, there isn't actually much value in doing them ahead of time for most samples. We are also already running at least a 1k deficit this turn if we're doing a second Prometheus like Bitterman has suggested on top of the guaranteed 2k Pest Control money.

Add onto this, the fact that next turn is likely going to cost at minimum the same amount and potentially even more than this turn. Given the actual value that Deltaing samples ahead of time provides, having as much of a cushion available as possible in prep for seeing how much we'll have to work with next turn is incredibly important.

Here we go.

Well, I'm generally fine with no samples getting created this update. After Bitterman answered my questions, I'm reasonably sure this vote is gonna return in the second half of this Issue. Best case scenario if we manage to snag reward money from the Named-Rank behemoth, and get that 5000 income in PMJUM. We can then get our delta samples afterwards.

Yeah, I can be patient, and I'd rather us have a cushion of known income rather than face an uncertain economic future.

Lord knows we have enough economic uncertainty in the real world...

Folks, we can't afford to get Δ Samples right now.

We've been theorizing Biokinesis for long enough. Better get it now.

Actually, I don't think you numbers are correct:
  1. Project Prometheus #1/Rosemary's Baby/Fast Pass!/Legally Distinct Shields/Kessel Run = - 7000 income
  2. I Fear Not the Man Who Has Practiced 1000 Kicks/Schoolhouse Rock!/The Little Engine that Could i= - 5000 income
  3. Train Kept A Rolling/Pest Control/Spider's Web White Tiger = +1000 income (+2000 from Pest Control, -1000 income from Spider's Web)
  4. Herolive/Project Prometheus #2 = -3000 Income (-1000 income from PP#2 & -2000 from Herolive)
  5. Smoke on the Water/The Fellowship/Spider Web LLPP = -1000 income (-1000 income from Spider's Web)
  6. Ain't no Rain on my Parade/Chapter 334/The Ethics of This are Troubling = -1000 Income (-1000 income from The Ethics of this are Troubling)
We started this turn with 14,000 income in the bank, we have decided to spent 18,000 income. As long as we successfully complete Pest Control and succesfully regain control of the OID (which should give +2000 income right now, and additonal 2000 income per turn) we should be on an even footing, as long as no new expenses crop up.

Edit: In case anyone is wondering why it says we have 10,000 income on our front page, that is because we have already done Rosemary's Baby/Fast Pass!/Legally Distinct Shields this turn, which costs 4,000 income.

On the matter of our money economy, we currently get 4,000 income per turn (but 1,500 of that is from New Dawn), when we complete Herolive: The Swag is the Best Part we will get +5,000 income per turn and regaining the OID will get us +2,000 income per turn.

Which means our income per turn becomes 9,500 (this isn't even counting potential sponsorship + the Income Increases per Issue that The Little Engine that Could & Schoolhouse Rock are suppose to give us + The merger with New Dawn)

So, while our money maybe be a bit iffy right now, next turn we shouldn't have to worry as much.

Edit: This isn't even covering the one time incomes we might get this turn (Income for Named Behemoth Frigg of Drifting Mistletoe [Train kept a Rollin'] + chance of 5000 income [PMJUM] + Chance of +3000 income [He's Got a Gun!] + Income we might get during the Personal Actions)

You know

I didn't expect this quest to be beholdent to economics as much as it is. In fact, this is what if feels like reading people do budgeting, and probably what it feels like to do said budgeting
