I might also add an idea for chilling John out: Abarimon.

Abarimon, like Jorogumo, probably, has a power that harms people around him inadvertently, and while it might have taken a talk with Yasmin, he did decide to do the right thing. Maybe talking to Abarimon might nudge his headspace towards forgiving Jorogumo.
Yeh it gives +1 OID like 3rd Person but without need for combat. Now that starting ND missions wont expire we can go with Abarimon instead.

Is it okay to ask if we can spare an action for Nora's Junk Pile out of curiosity? There's gotta be some fun stuff there, and we could get lucky and get a psychic dampener for Mona to cover for her weakness in the absence of Yara or a telepathy helmet to make the R-Train mission easier, or even just something like, I dunno, a freeze ray to give Maddie as a back-up Hit boost or some sort of invisibility field or whatever?

I just wanna see what's in it. I know it's a gacha but still.
I've been kind of thinking this myself. Nora was one of the best Algernons in the city, and we've already gotten massive use out of her shield generators. Whatever we get is very likely to be really useful.

Hmm... @Bitterman, I have a quick question regarding research for Project Prometheus. Are we only allowed to do one Research action per turn, period, or are we allow to use multiple actions on research in a single turn, and we just have to pay the necessary fees of AP and Income?
I actually think I'm gonna have an "Ibis Budget" section where you allocate money to them to do things like research, spoonfuls, and PP. They won't cost GA, but will cost money. There's too many GA that won't happen otherwise.

Also, thinking about it, given the in-universe explanation for why your team-sizes will be limited to 5 + 1 New Dawn, there's no reason to not give you full access to the Zenith and Zenith Global Actions. So you'll be getting +10 metahuman slots (6 of which are already filled by ND).

I said it before and Ill say it again. Next turn preparations are going to be WILD. Also Iblis now has income!

Haven't been super involved in the quest's discussion, but is it crazy that I kind of want to do Take the Stage? Dr. Ibis is the only one that can administer new powers from how I understand it, so there's still our monopoly on things even without considering we aren't going to just give out instructions for how its done.

The danger is less that people will be able to reverse engineer the process from a press release and more that they'll start trying to kindnap the Drs Ibis and/or stop fighting each other to focus on us before we grow too big to destroy.

Even with these changes (which are great, thank you Bitterman!), I'm kind of inclined to just do a spoonful on Cain and empower either Song or Shelley, but not both. Even with the expanded cap we'll only have one slot left after next issue, and I don't quite want to just blow all our new money on PP right away when we can use it on Global Actions for other upgrades.

Edit:
We could also, alternatively, spoonful Shelley and empower either Song or Soraia, but I think people are generally more for doing Cain.

You know, I haven't seen enough of Towari to directly care too much about her, but I really really really want her to survive just because she's Dr Mammoth Ibis' friend.

The death of a local old man had not been something anyone expected to be unusual, he was old, pushing his late eighties. He was wealthy, living in a large house and hiring staff to help him take care of it as he had no living relatives.
I think that's too old? Metahumans are, barring the ones we've made, known to be born as ones and the Leviathan only crashed down in 2001.

If he was, at minimum, 86 in 2066(1 year before the Movement), then he would have been 21 when the Leviathan crashed. And also been the first to have become, rather then be born, a metahuman.

On a different topic, I'm expecting Yara's side effect to be that she's super powerful while asleep, but massively weaker while awake. Which also provides a handy excuse to hide Project Prometheus: turns out she's been a metahuman for years, she just never realized her dreams were more then her having lucid dreams, and since she's so much weaker when awake it was never noticed.

i wasn;t able to check the timeline when i did the omake and wasn;t aware of this. but seeing as it was marked canon i'll leave it for now

Eh, it's too much to ask for every small detail to be right. If it comes up in-story, I'll tweak ass necessary.

There's an even easier explanation: everyone from Crusade saw her show powers doing Socialite Butterfly's trial. The higher-ups in Osanyin, Dominion, and AGL have concluded he had powers and JU caught on before everyone else.

When she shows up as a P13, that's only going to entrench their belief you can boost powers.

I'm surprised that as per Faust the conspiracies don't see JU as the rapidly accelerating snowball that it is. I know they have seemingly bigger fish to fry, but surely that whole display with VG and the team hurting Hand would have caught their eye?

Not that I'm complaining about being given a breather for once.

In fairness, that did require a particular set of powers and circumstances, and from what we saw, Tri-Cancer and the Shit-Speaker believe it's due to the Woman in Blue. While the Hours think that JU is using steroids, likely in the form of Princess.

Basically, everyone thinks that JU is reliant on outside forces, and if they deal with those, JU ceases to be a credible threat.

Edit: We're also severely lacking, comparatively, in reach, money and manpower. The big guys have minor expenses that cost more then we've earned in this whole game, have global reach, way more people directly or indirectly under their employee. Plus we're new and know comparatively little about what's going on.

Part of it also is just them not knowing our team's full capabilities. Obviously we have Black Swan, and Valiant Gold is a big threat, but Scarlet Maturity shows they're underestimating Handyman, and they still think Doctor Silver is just using leftover VS tech. I think they may not be fully aware of Menagerie Witch's potential, also, especially since we've only made HIT chimera so far.

For the next turn I don't actually want to empower anyone execept for Yara and use the space to recruit Brass Shield and some people from the Demon Flamez, and meanwhile we boost the Tolerance of every candidate we have. Greedy, but I think it's worth it. @Bitterman will Katie take up a hero slot if she joins?

It is good that The Brass Shield recongizes that no amounts of hotness can make up for insane evil.

Actually, no. Metahuman powers emerge in your teens most of the time, and the first known metahuman, Osanyin, died at a fairly advanced age. (Uiara was his grandaughter so he was born a long time ago)

Oh this is actually pretty massive. Since yeah, while the jump to 6 global AP is nice, it was partially undercut by Spider's Web getting moved over to globals when we realistically need to use it every turn. This means we could do something like Spider Web (Ghost Dragon Triad), LL boosting, Apiary Expansion, Apiary Community Center (If not folded in as part of the expansion), Shields, +1 {Merchandising, ADHD, Glass Menagerie}.

I will say I think that probably will end up bringing Merchandising back to the forefront assuming its a decent number, purely since the Ibis budget will likely lead to higher amounts of money used since there's more space in the globals for extra income costing options now.

Bitterman confirmed that Katie takes a slot and I'm down for not empowering anyone Prometheus wise due to us having the ND numbers added on next turn, meaning the early turn is more sustainable without trying to empower anyone. So we are at 8/10 but its really 10/10 due to Katie/Yara needing to join -> will be at 16/20 due to New Dawn giving us the space and numbers functionally. That sounds like a lot but even just Jorogumo and Sparksurfer reduce that space to minimal amounts.

This is before we do the Apiary expansion or ODI elements but still, we don't know how many slots get freed up by those yet and so I'd prefer to slightly hold off. Plus I believe we're currently at 2 ambrosia doses, while Yara is taking up 1 as is, so the R-Train progress is majorly necessary and we can't even go hard on empowering even if we wanted to. If we open up the turn with the extra 4 slots there might be the empower Song or hold off knife fight but that's it really.

It depends on how things turn out, but I'd be fine with just boosting Cain's tolerance and maybe making one new metahuman next turn. Sure, it'd be more efficient to do two in one turn, but sometimes you can't be 100% efficient due to reasons. Though obviously, we should try to do some expansions, we are running out of space slowly but steadily.

Yellow Qilin looks very small, drowning in her skills

Nora's declaration that the R-Train can be reasons with echoes in your mind

Her removing The Brass Shield from the room ensured only she could report what was said and done her

Justice Unlimited is the only organization standing in their way of domination Horizon."

It's Silks not skills

It's reasoned not reasons

It's done here not done her

It's domination of Horizon not of domination Horizon

I just hope clearing the R-Train mission goes well. Between that and Facimg Yellow Quillin, Hopefully the Magical Girls can get a steady supply of Goldnine.

That's power expression, but you're a metahuman or not from birth:
Whether you were a metahuman was decided at birth, although most did not begin to express their powers until adolescence. Sure, you had fringe cases who manifested powers at birth, but those were the exception. Depending on what their power was, some people could go their whole life without knowing they were a metahuman.
Osanyin was the first known metahuman and became public in 2023:
About 30-40 years or so, give or take. The first metahuman is considered to be Ọsanyìn who emerged in 2023, but they weren't super common until 2030ish.
So the oldest a Metahuman could be in 2066, barring time fuckery, should be 65.

Which means Osanyin was/would have been 34 when Yasmin was born. And yes, that indicates either he abd/or Jair was a teen dad.
