We'll need to get 1000 more income first from either the random events or from this mission's end in order to power up Yara to P13, since (2000+1000=3000) and QM confirmed she starts out as T9.
 
I'm with Ferb on this. If Yara joins JU and a few weeks later she shows off that she's Valkyrie 2.0, even people who don't know she didn't demonstrate powers in this fight will be real suspicious. Waiting a turn or two might make it more plausible that her powers had only recently manifested and that she needed the time and guidance to manifest them.

That's actually one reason I think adding Red Huntress to her build would be a good idea for her, whatever it is - she'd get to scale up to threats while making her baseline not seem too insane.

Aside from that, [Invis+Clarivoyance] does seem like it'd be part of that esoteric psychic immunity synergy QM hinted at for Yara, and RH has one of both.
 
Correct me of I'm wrong, but Yara is already at the very limit of when people can get powers isn't she? Waiting too long could push that over and make people ask uncomfortable questions.
 
Honestly Im in the "empower her immediatly" field.
Just... I dont think we have the cash available to do it at the beggining of the next turn.
Maybe mid issue if we are lucky with what missions we do?
Also that QM laugh is NOT HELPING.
Also dont forget we are doing the 1AP version aka Hard mode.
 
There are actually three Reality Checks. 2 with 2AP and 1 with 1 AP. I'm preeeetty sure you're safe from the one with the most dire consequences, but now you're getting the fun one.
 
We could have her sandbag to lower everyone's guards. If she just goes "well i can turn invisible but while that might help me slip out of danger I can't stay invisible all the time and I need to rest so that's why I couldn't hide from SB and my dad forever", while keeping her telepathy secret.

Admittedly, these are true...

Argggghh. I do wish we could stop prioritizing the higher-potency candidates, but it really doesn't help that we have so many irons in the fire.

Hero Worship —> Reality Check is one of this things I've had panned from the start like Kintsugi or Opale's character arc in Faustian. I'm dying to get to it!

Shes 18 so 2 more years before its clear she isnt a metahuman unlest shes got some weird trigger like deadmans.

That said the big question is her suddenly becoming S class since Natural metas have to train their powers up like its a muscle.

MW being A class due to her past is weird and horribe for a reason

She has a pretty strong story of being a metahuman the whole time, but "Didn't feel she could live up to her sister" This will be true regardless of the specific power she gets and how strong it is, because it's not about strength.

Yeah, it'd be weird for Yara to grow into her power unless there was some prolonged, traumatic situation that forced her to push her powers to an unhealthy degree. 😉

Like, say, apparently a Clone War situation because SB got to copy her but didn't get to kill her to remove the evidence.

Which I assume would have been the Worst Case Scenario? 1 AP means that it's flagrantly obvious that Shenanigans are afoot, so things go fast, but it means coming into direct conflict with SB--and probably the rest of the god damn Philosophers because they'll want the company even if they'd normally let SB crash and burn on her own devices. And if every single one of them is a god damn Raid Battle, it might as well be a lost cause unless we get something really damn good out of this.

Unfortunately, we need to power and also cash and also literally just more bodies but fortunately we are taking steps to handle these
