Hey, will this information about Hello Corporation something random, or will it be relevant sooner or later?

...Also that one example request. Sounds oddly specific...

Hey, will this information about Hello Corporation something random, or will it be relevant sooner or later?
Seems like a silly question to me, isn't it already relevant? The policies set by H Corp influences the entire district. Even if we never even take a single step within Nest H, it's still pertinent information. I mean, just the last update we got to see a little the influence of H Corp in their movies, with many of the choices clearly coming from our clients enjoyment of H Corp entertainment. We've also had a couple of mentions about nest-dwellers spectating the backstreets for entertainment, and while I'm certain this also happens in other nests, I'd also bet that it's much more prevalent in Nest H.

Also, while I'm at it.

[X] A Walk in The Park. What better way to spend your day other than shopping? Shopping for food, there is! Well, you can also shop for something else, but you know where the real good stuff is. Anyway, point is, it's not everytime you can just go into the rich neighborhood of the Backstreets, and here you can expand your palate (as the rich would say it). Anyway, there's a strip of shops nearby here. It's pretty safe on the account of the Zwei. Tori's willing to pay some, but you gotta chip in a little still. [A Culinary (And Rich) Experience. Costs 50,000 Ahn. Upon Unlock, Cooking Skill receives a Bonus 150XP. Window Shops.]

I believe that going out looking for a fight with Tori to be a bad idea, we are supposed to protect her not endanger her. I do believe we could protect her just fine and the extra XP would be really nice but my common sense tells me to stay away from this. Otherwise I want the Cooking Xp.

Now for the updates.

Mao was… difficult. Difficult to approach. She had no clue how Lily managed to get close to her
Mao is a cat, Lily had no say in this.

There was also Daniel, but he's a complete mystery; from Karrion and others, a shell of his former self. The Smoke War had destroyed him, and his former Officemates. But there's something about his crow…
Daniel is a veteran, eh? There might be a more mundane, for the City that is, reason for the crow but I have another idea. He might be Unstable, stuck between manifesting his EGO in full and becoming a full on Distortion. His crow might be his EGO or something like it. While it is not flashy, Moses has shown that EGO does not have to be eye-catching unlike most examples that we have seen.

Kai both wants to be like her mother and at the same time be herself, that is a rough path. She also, predictably, has super esteem issues with holding back her mother, especially considering she is including the time her mother was pregnant. That is never a good sign.

I do wonder what exactly her mother's problem with the augment is. Does she dislike augments in general, or it is visible augments specifically? Maybe it does not have to do with augments at all and has to do with an ideal or Kai herself. I feel like it has to do with it marring Kai in someway and that makes me think of the ideal of flawlessness, not perfection, again.

It does seem she does care for Kai and without further context, I think Kai working in her mother's office would be a good opportunity. However, looks over to Lily and Lin, Kai has baggage and that spoils that plan.

The Winter's Ultimatum does ruin my social plans I had for the next few weeks. I did want to meet the rest of the office properly but I am now going to shift some things around. I am thinking of spending two actions, one sometime before the Ultimatum and second for the Ultimatum itself. The first is to get better synergy with Kai since I think that will play a part in the Ultimatum and the second is my assumption the the Ultimatum is going to take an action to resolve. Now the big question is if we are going to fight the almost-Color herself or fight something of her choosing.

Speaking of eyes, people have commented on Lily's eyes being beautiful right? I wonder what Kai's mother will think.

Not much to say on the other update besides I like it, Lily and Tori interactions make me smile, and that City schools are terrifying as expected.

I am now wondering if Roland was homeschooled.

We've also had a couple of mentions about nest-dwellers spectating the backstreets for entertainment, and while I'm certain this also happens in other nests, I'd also bet that it's much more prevalent in Nest H.

This does happen in other Districts, where people in the Nest would just look out of their apartment windows to the Backstreets with a bottle of beer in hand. It's practically a daily pasttime in Nests. Nest H just made a bigger spectacle out of it, where you can rent out an entire balcony-floor for a viewing party, set with telescopes, and binoculars, and even radars to help you pinpoint where the interesting violent shit is happening.

I am now wondering if Roland was homeschooled.

He was. Well, homeschooling might be a too big word, but he did say that he was raised, and taught by his Grandma.

Ib4 Roland's grandma is from the same place as Lily's parents and that other woman. Like it's some unspoken one degree of separation type of stuff. Idk, it may just be theory crafting since we're seeing a surprising amount of Roland despite Lily only meeting him one time before, which made me blink a few times when he comes up in the narrative.

Actually getting into the game now to figure out what was is actually going on. But now it means I can post this.

I think it is mainly because Instinct is showing glimpses of various events happening around us, usually pertaining to what is happening to us right now but does show other events if they have enough 'weight' to them. Roland is an important character after all and we are only a step away from ground zero of the Pianist incident, it is not a stretch to believe that Instinct is tracking Roland considering the relative closeness and importance of him.

Having said that, I could actually see it happening. What little we see of Roland's grandmother makes her seem odd, even by the City's standards. She is as likely to come from anywhere else but the chance is there. There is also the overarching theme of interconnected storylines as we see with the main story invitations. More and more people get drawn in to the Library because they know someone that worked this guy who was relate to this girl and so on. Would it be surprising that Roland unknowingly draws anyone remotely connected to him to the Library?

In truth, this does indeed happen at the near the very end of the game. The Reverb Ensemble shows up and is outright stated that some of them are the way there are because of Roland with the catch that it is implied that most of them are because of Roland. Elena was not the result of Roland's rage but is directly connected to his past. Roland killed Jae-Heon's pseudo-son. Eileen lost her father due to Roland. It is implied that Pluto was the one who got screwed by the clauses in a contract in one of Roland's flashbacks. Heck, there is even an augment to be made that he is responsible for Phillip becoming the Crying Children.

One interesting thing to note is that Lily has repeated one of Roland's catchphrases, "That is that and this is this". The problem is that is not originally Roland's catchphrase, it was Angelica's. Make of that as you like.

The best thing about this picture is that I know there is more, and it only gets better.

I'm also going for a true end clear of Lobotmy Corp as well. It is driving me literally fucking insane. The game goes from management sim to whatever the fuck is going on during midnight ordeals Like that giant laser beam that slowly hits everything in the facility and the less said about the 'gods' the better. I'm starting to understand Angela's betrayal if she went through that ten million times. It's gotten to the point I turned off in game music and start blasting Russian hard bass as it fits the mood better.

Also that raises a question. @SoothingCoffee How would you rate the (Lobotomy Corp Late game spoilers) The Fixers that show up to fuck you up later game. It takes usually every agent you have to take them down while they manhandle Alpeh's you released on purpose. They are all described by Colors which makes sense strength wise but I can def see that being wrong.

If people want a semi-memey video that shows how the late game is. This is pretty good.

Kind of hard to say, considering a Color had to be subdued alongside people they had personally trained for a couple thousand years by the unending waves of the Rabbits, the ones that appear as white ordeals are probably a lot weaker than the genuine article. Red Mist suppression should be somewhere closer.

There is something crucial to remember about ordeals and that is they are of questionable origin and accuracy. I forgot the exact wording, it doesn't help that I believe that it was Binah of all people to explain this, but the ordeals are like the abnormalities. They are manifested from the human psyche and are not accurate representations.

Well, not completely accurate. I would say that most of the ordeals are either not real or a heavily distorted image of reality, except for the white ordeals. Considering when the white ordeals happen and the context of them, I would think it is safe to assume that the white ordeals are the closest to the real world counterparts. The White Midnight seems fairly accurate at least.

Anyways, I do not believe that they are Colors. Just fixers that are heavily expressing their own inner colors, like when Karrion talks about Lily's red and Kai's white. That is how I see it at least.

Those Fixers being what they are (Ordeals and all), I would put them somewhere between Grade 1 and Colors. It's a bit up in the air. Pale Fixer is probably a Color, though.

I might just be reading a bit too far into this because it's a quest and thus there are degrees of seperation between the mechanics and narrative, but Isn't having Lily's physical abilities increased by her ability to display and demonstrate the Four Cardinal Virtues actually really major considering that's limited to L Corp's tech? If Kai and her mother were also under its effects, it would explain the extent of Wonderland's reaction to Kai's eye augment.
Once again, I could just be making connections where there aren't any.

It took two days, but I'm finally caught up! I really like Project Moon's world, even though the games that I need to get the lore from I don't really enjoy playing, so this is a nice way to get that!

This is speculative on my part, but the way I interpreted it, reaching Grade 8 required 8 "Job EXP" with Canard jobs giving out 1 EXP and Urban Myth giving out 2 EXP. I think that interpretation is consistent with what we've been told we needed at every week thus far and if true it means we needed 3 "Job EXP" to hit Grade 8 at the start of the week... and taking 1 Urban Myth and 1 Canard this week like we did means we'll get that 3 EXP this week.

That's just my own interpretation however and might not be how it works. If we don't reach it at the end of this week then yeah, it should be obtained by just taking any job next week I believe.

So Lily is close to going grade 8. Good, maybe. Presumably Kai should be too getting there not long after Lily considering they've been doing urban myths together but she probably hasn't been doing the same amount of Canards due to not having the same money troubles. Maybe being partners with a girl who ranked up in 4 weeks would help her problems a bit? I'm not quite sure.

Kai will get there at the same time I imagine, I'm almost certain she's done at least two Canards in the last month and we do full buddy cop on the Myths.

Three weeks. We'll be Grade 8 in three weeks of being a Fixer. That's quite good. Maybe not unprecedented, but very good nonetheless considering the Theoretical Maximum Pace would be two weeks assuming you did nothing but Urban Myths from day one and somehow didn't die.

And even Colors didn't tend to start as overpowered monsters who can ironman Urban Myths from zero. Lily officially qualifies as a talented rookie for going Grade 9 to 8 in three weeks.
