While the augments can be cool and all (though hoping for one not eroding our sense of self), I want to improve Lily's own body even further.

Why? Because we already found out she's kinda immortal, and her body almost certainly has more in store.

Secondly, I want for there to be fucking Lily augments. As in, augments that are literally Lily's bodyparts.
Just imagine Lily's own heart being on offer for some other Fixer, far in the future.
[] Lily's Heart (Augment) – Kai is a Fixer of great repute, and she's willing to pay for Doctor Nyorau to transplant the heart of her fallen friend into you. You're only able to obtain this because she considers you worthy, and the payment that she seeks is to see her friend live on. Doctor Nyoaru's a Master of Hybridization Augmentation – a way of strengthening someone through adding traits from other beings, and in this case, Fixers, into you. This is incredibly, incredibly powerful. Can you feel her heart beat? It wants to beat up your enemies. Effect: +2 to Melee: Fuck, +2 to Endurance: Them, and +2 to Instinct: Up!. -2 to Ranged and Gadgetry: No tricks. ???. Cost: Nothing. Become hot-blooded. ???

If we keep pumping Endurance and Fortitude like we have been, then we might not even have to die for such a thing to happen.

Speaking of Fortitude, what's the leveling plan for the next EXP payload? Tbh I kinda raise the other stats and skills up to par before anything. See if we get any more perks.

Can't have Lily be too much of a one-trick tiger.

We should probably go for perk fishing, so Justice or Temperance III.

Or we can start unfucking Lily's Prudence, this becomes more interesting if we have a good reason to believe it's holding her back in this upcoming arc.

Justice/EGO and maybe Temperance. We dont really use Prudence at all and we shouldnt so lets focus on what we can get up to stuff.

"Not that Lily's dead you know she just got up after having her heart ripped out of her and didnt really had a use for another heart so she gave it to Kai. Very cute story."

More fortitude, more endurance, more melee. Maybe more cooking so that we can get better food buffs cheaper, simple as.

I like the idea of either plant(for the name), dragon(for the greed), or tiger(for the pride and nickname) based augmentations.
Hey Plant & Tiger I'd be down for

I'd say For stats Either Temperance or Justice. For next skills? Either Melee/Repression or Ego/Empathy. Empathy & Ego seem to happen near each other when dealing with People dying or getting injured near Lily. Empathy to understand Ego to not let it get to you. And Repression and Melee always just good to increase to be better at combat... though eventually we'll have to deal with Prudence. I'd say sooner rather than later since I don't wanna see Lily breakdown... Since we don't really have a way to counter that... We have physical resurrection not mental.

I first read that as Kai getting the transplant and wondered if that hot-blooded part might just be literal. She eats spicy food to feel warm so being literally hot-blooded might make her feel strange, especially since it would be her partner's heart that is doing that.

Lily being a spirit advisor sounds like it could hilarious. I just hear her saying things like "You are never behind if you are not a bitch" and other fun lines to not back down.

"Not that Lily's dead you know she just got up after having her heart ripped out of her and didnt really had a use for another heart so she gave it to Kai. Very cute story."

...Why does that feel so in character for them? Lily is giving her heart away and Kai accepting it, to say nothing of Lily shrugging off missing her heart and Kai thinking that implanting someone with her partner's heart is a good idea.

Kai's gonna get Lily's heart one way or another this is just it to its most literal form.
(What? I totally don't Ship Lily x Kai or Lily x Sun or anything what are you talking about?)

Disgusting, cringe, banished to the outskirts. Ships and romance have no place in this capitalist deathrace of a world. Please keep such thoughts to yourself.

Lily x Kai supremacy gang rise up, like come on' she's the Raiden to our Jetstream Sam.

As long as we all can agree that Lin x Moon is a underrated ship.

What's not to love? You have gaslighting, parasitism, emotional abuse, abomination on yakuza action, DILFs, the whole packcage.

Speaking of the Zwei... Do you think it's possible for the Scarecrow Office to become an Affiliate of the Zwei? And Should we even try to become one?

It also means thay Scarecrow Office will have to do any jobs that the Zwei give to them.

Also all the drawings created of Lily makes me appreciate how fitting my profile pic is.

[Omake] 7th Shot (RiceRockRekt)
I do not think there is going to be a substantial effect after the seven days are up for a couple of reasons, one of which is nothing saying anything of the sort in the description. The other major reason is that these effects are usually "short term benefit for a longer-term detriment" or "short term detriment for a long term benefit", not "short term benefit for a longer-term detriment which then turns into a long term benefit".

Having said that, there still might be a visual or fluff effect afterward. You know, if the flower is not a figure of speech or is just chilling in Lily's stomach acid.
Fair. It's just me being worried since the city is the hellhole it always is and trying to think of a positive outcome compared to the worry... though I still hope Lily ends up with some neat Floral Effects/design that comes from using the 777 Pill(tm) even if it's just for aesthetics. Looking cool while not as important as power or survivability is still a factor that the colors we've seen have.

My real true facts secret hope is that when Day 7 hits Lily will just straight up hack up a flower and we'll have the choice between giving it to Beanstalk Workshop (the store front guy feels like the type to be interested in the science of what each flower comes out of a person like) or keeping it. Get this bitch a houseplant.

"Not that Lily's dead you know she just got up after having her heart ripped out of her and didnt really had a use for another heart so she gave it to Kai. Very cute story."

Lily: [Holds out her own still beating heart] Here, don't read into this.
Kai: ...What am I supposed to read into this.
Lily: Nothing, that's why I told you 'don't', now are you taking it or not?
Kai: ...Do you want my old eye in return?
Lily:
Lily: Um.
[A great distance away, a telescope pokes out of the top floor window of a Fixer Office, and the woman who could've been known as Winter Wonderland stares through the looking glass with supreme focus, not once diverting her gaze as she scrawls, scratches out, and rewrites notes on both sides of a chart that says "Kill Her" and "Acquire Daughter-in-Law"]

I am very happy for the combo due to one simple reason:

If we end up facing the Distortion head on, with Mao just laying there all wounded and defeated, Lily can then pop the pill and unleash the gun-glove and go shonen protagonist's desperation move, kick his shit in, die in his desperation/spite move, have this poignant silence as both of them lie there dead and cool, have Mao carry Lily's corpse back to the office all mournfully, then she wakes up at her own funeral like she took a fucking nap instead of being gutted.

Which is just *chef's kiss*.

See, this reminds me of a thought I had earlier, so lemme try jotting that down before it leaves:

What is she doing here?

Crawling under a pile of random shit (which at least doesn't involve actual shit) to hide from a big bastard pushed you shit in, it's not like you hadn't used to it for years before this last month.

Sure, obviously, but then why is she here too?

Because what you hadn't wanted to acknowledge was that in the same corner of rubble you'd been limping to, looking only half as chewed up as you felt (but what does that say, when she's more than five of you put together?), is Mao, whose lax, limply raised hand in greeting makes you want to walk right back to Weeping-Cumstrings Moon and facetank the whiny bitch to death.

But, you'd need to do that twice to escape your shame, you remember that now.

But you shove that shit down, because if Mao's tucked away here that means you weren't chickenshit for trying to find somewhere to rest and think before you threw your ass back into the meatgrinder, and if it does, well, Miss "Scarecrows Don't Budge" is here too, right?

Which you aren't going to say either way, plopping down next to your regular annoyance (hissing as bruises on your ass throb in time with the bruises of the Distortion's wackass mind tricks humming in your skull), because nothing good will come from that, and instead– "So do you have anything better than 'take five and run back in', because right now I have a headache too fucking loud for something above stupid and simple."

Mao takes that with all due consideration "...I'm gonna shoot Moon from behind when he passes by and get as much blood out of him before he turns around. After that it's basically your plan."

"...For fuck's sake." Strangling down the urge to cough up some demented chuckle like you're a psycho, or worse, utterly fucked, you throw back "You know what, that bullshit worked on a bigshot like Ran when I was fresh off registrating, how's a sack of cucks like Moon gonna handle it better?"

You're doing well to ignore how back then you instantly got bitchslapped slightly less hard than the despair monster has been throttling you throughout this sorry charade.

It takes the whap of Mao's meat paws to knock you clear of the distraction, the pride in her amber eyes a spark that could sear off the wounds clotting on her face all on its own. "This is why you're my favorite junior Tiger–"

"–Oh, miss me with that gagging shit, if you could–"

"–And that's why you should be ready to pull out that envelope."

...

...

...

...Not yet, is what you want to say, isn't it?

"...How do you feel about being laid up for the next week?"

Something blank flickers in her gaze, before a snort makes her typical catlike grin cut through the blood oozing down her face. "Do you think I'd be here if I wasn't ready for worse, Tiger?"

...Sighing, with the sensation of pulling out teeth you need to bite into a HamHamPangPang Porky Delights Package, you reach into your pocket, and thrust out a golden pill clenched between your fingers, eyes just a shade from matching locked onto the 7 etched into its surface.

Not that your head isn't aimed in the opposite direction, because when you're getting your teeth pulled out you obviously don't look, fucker.

Doesn't mean you can't hear the purse in Mao's lips before you plow forward into explaining before better sense catches up, "Listen, this thing is like multiplying your ability to thrash bitches by seven, right? And me, I know I could tear it up like a fucking badass with that boost, but, I know the math well enough to tell that a 5th rank rolled up by seven is a bigger deal than an 8–...Wait, shit, forget listening until I, god fucking–"

She's barely holding back laughter, that bitch. "If you, heh, think of it like fractions–"

"Fuck fractions, and fuck math too, just," is this how you're gonna bite the big one, trying to throttle your clown bitch senior while a fucking Distortion is heading your way? "Just, take this, it'll fuck Moon up better with you."

That finally makes everything stop being hilarious for Mao, because she sounds the most somber she's ever been today when she says, "I get what you're saying Lily, just...Didn't you use up most of your savings to get that pick-me-up?"

"Fucking shut it. Don't think–"

(–That I'm stupid enough to think–)

"–This makes us even yet, alright? But I gotta start somewhere if we're gonna be alive enough to be square."

...If the silenced that followed lasted any longer, you'd have taken the snickering over it, but–

"You're right."

You let out of breath you hadn't known you'd been holding, and suddenly you're all kinds pissed that you had to feel all this shit just to had over a shitty little pill when Mao places her hand over yours, and with a surge of pressure tugs your arm hard to make you whirl around (the fuck?) and lock glares with eyes more ferocious and–Sincere–Than you've ever known from her.

"When a junior steps up to save their senior's bacon like this, you know how hard we have to spoil them in return?"

Heat you don't know how to deal with pours out of your skin, and it's all so fucking unnecessary??? "Don't, don't make that sappy shit up right now! Just eat the fucking plant so we can finish this!!!"

Laughing, always happy and laughing, this cunt, Mao takes the pill and lets go, and you shake your arm like it'll get the bitter-paper-iron taint off. "Right, right, we'll have plenty of time later, maybe when my cute little junior is looking after me in my time of need, the burden of sicko mode burnout thrust upon me?" And with that last hys-Fucking-terical skit through, Mao flip the seed up, and catches it between her teeth, and very quickly it stands out to you, like a bullet ready to slot into the firing chamber...

"Seven minutes, huh. It's too bad you had to splurge for that Tiger, when I only need one for this cunt."

...You might not be ready to see what Mao looks like with nothing held back.

If I wanted to give this a name, it'd probably be "7th Shot", and I can safely say I'm on every side for the 777 Seed's potential use. Popping it to unlock Super Lily? Passing it to a friend in need as a food sharing metaphor? Tricking an enemy into eating it and then ducking out until 7 hours pass to hunt them for sport for the rest of the week? I eat Chekhov's Gun for breakfast lunch and dinner bro.

If we're gonna use a pill to deal with an enemy why not use two of the healing pills to overheal them and make em *pop*.

Bravo my good fellow, bravo. Really good work with voices, I could feel Lily's gruffness and Mao's unceasing playfulness. Lily is someone who will not back down to a challenge, however, she does acknowledge when someone is stronger than her. She has never not acknowledged that fact even if it irritates her and you have shown that here beautifully. Yeah, she could probably take on Moon with that pill but Mao could demolish him with it instead. Lily is not too proud to admit that even if Mao is going to be unbearable about it later.

I do like the playing with the idea that spending money on another can be just, if not more so, as powerful as spending money on yourself. It is a nice split from what the City expects and encourages.

Not canon, of course, but that's really cool!

Don't look down on that "Measly 2 HP healing", it can be used between missions to push up an injury bracket.
Every HP counts… especially the last one.

That, and the last time we brought this up it was pointed out that forcing them down someone's throat can be really hard to do. Being sneaky about it is still an option but I doubt that Lily will be put into that situation too often.
Fair I just said the idea since tricking the enemy to eat the pill that gives you a power and trying to stall them was said. Since I feel like that'd make it easier for them to kill Lily.
