If the Duke is weak against Poison.
It can only mean he's a Grass or a Fairy Type.
Use this information to your advantage!

This is without the fluffiest shade story I've read. I'm waiting for Cthulhu and other eldritch monsters to start appearing to balance the shade's scales of angst.

Pretty sure the reason Shade started that quest he's running is to stuff all the angst in. We're all so busy expecting everything to go wrong and horrible that we never expect all the fluff.

It's like an M.Night movie where the twist is there is no twist.

And of course, as soon as we all start believing that then all the fluffyness and children will be eaten by a jealous Jenova.

"Also...he might not challenge me to a duel to begin with. He might be so happy in having his daughter back, he won't do anything. Come on..." which was what I was counting on. By being honest, and perhaps with an earnest plea from Josette, the duel might not happen to begin with.
Bravado is much less impressive when its source is not the knowledge you can deal with any consequences, but the assumption that there will be none.

Hopefully grass type. That way Raven has a type advantage. And Henry, too, since he's an air mage.

And if he's a Fairy type, Henry simply needs to shoot a lot of swords and spears at him.
I think he's got his bases covered.

Unless...
Oh no! I bet Charles has some mad IV stats!
Must be because of the royal bloodline!

Well at least we now know the Duke is not a witcher. Otherwise he'd have blocked the bolt in flight. Always have to look at the brightside. Means Henry could conceivably get past the Dukes reflexes with anything at the same level or higher than a crossbow bolt. Silver linings are still awesome aren't they? Shame about the attached clouds though.

I wonder how much Henry told Isabella about the circumstances behind Josette's disappearance? Maybe she thinks that Henry hiding Josette is a result of her warning him in that letter and that this is all her fault.
