Like any halfway-sensible person, you instantly drop into fight-or-flight mode, and given the lack of conceivable armament anywhere, you opt for flight. Stooping to grab Yelena, you half-yank, half-drag her with you back around the bend. She's only given a moment of reprive to find her feet, then you're off again, pulling her along until the both of you are back out in the open.
"That was... too close..." You give Yelena a worried glance, but she seems to manage to pull herself together; possibly even more than you are right now. "Thank you."
You shrug nonchalantly, trying to calm your own beating heart. Replaying the encounter over in your head, you find yourself thinking aloud. "That thing was trapped, but we don't know how long that'll last. If it gets out with nobody to catch it, it could cause some serious problems. But we probably can't destroy it ourselves yet... we'll have to tell Conley."
"Do you think she'll listen?" Yelena asks in return, dubiously eyeing the distant vehicle down the slope.
"I'm not sure," is your attempt to remain charitable, "But if she doesn't, we'll find someone else to tell, until this gets taken care of. We found it; we're responsible if someone gets hurt because of it." Yelena pats herself, as if to double-check that she hasn't gotten hurt by it, then nods and begins walking back down the slope. After a final glance back at the foreboding passage, you follow suit.
Hatice and Victoria are much as you left them, the former glaring moodily at her own knees while the latter fiddles with the radio box, humming something off-key. As she sees you two approach, she leans back in her seat, glancing over at the city - sure enough, Lynx and Elaine are approaching from that direction - while you and Yelena are likely still looking rattled, they both just look sad. The end result is a palpable silence as you all take your seats back in the vehicle.
Even Victoria seems considerably more sober than she's acted thus far, letting out a troubled sigh as she stares at the ruins. "Before I take you back to base, I want you all to take one last good, long look at Cauterets down there." She turns around in her seat to fix you all with a significant look. "That's what we're fighting to prevent." And with that, she sets her foot down on the petal, taking you to the next destination.
Well Then
> Bring up the robot now. Best to at least let Victoria know.
> Stay silent for now. Saying anything with this mood might be too awkward.
> Talk about something else. (Write-in)
